Great as if we didn't have enough of that everywhere...now even cons where you can buy stuff you have to pay more than more then you can get first dibs to buy stuff due to that. Yeah I wouldn't go to these things either. They don't even buy to keep they buy to sell. Scalpers all over the place even there...even channels like this with scalping being the main focus of it all without shame. And people hate on PS5 scalpers...with this channel existing that's how it continues to exist even two years later. He buys 30 copies of the same game leaving nothing for the people after to sell all 30 online for more money...sad to see.

Does this bother anyone? I mean, really think about this. People pay to go to these conventions to get access to deals they normally couldn't get online. Only to have a reseller pick through the very thing a paying attendee might've been looking for, well before the convention is even accessible. Only to sell it online at a higher margin. This doesn't irk me out in the wild, but at a con...it really does. Honest question.

I hate people that do this. I like older systems and hate that in order to play them I have to spend thousands. Yeah it’s a smart way to make money but they’re scumbags for doing it. Worst of all are the people who buy from goodwill and Salvation Army… I’m donating my stuff for those in need and they’re being bought and resold online. Really

The guy who sold the GameCube sign. Is awesome! He is always at the Raleigh shows. And has great deals and extremely easy to work with. Done tons of trades and buys from him.
That Action replay is rare and pricey, I also wanted one because I play Pokémon on the Gameboy SP and some of the legendary Pokémon you just cant get without an event ticket...
so i like your channel but a bit confused about this one. Are you officially aloud to buy something before the general public are let in. Just seems a bit unfair that people might queue for hours to get in to grab some good deals, but if you can buy before they get in then a lot of the good deals have gone before they get a chance...

If you’ve ever been to a convention (not just video game conventions). Generally events offer a early entry pass for an additional cost. This is most likely what he got.

Whats the point of going to these conventions if resellers clean the room before everyone is allowed in? I know Phoenix doesn't care but whoever runs the convention kinda ruins it when they allow this.

Sellers have always bought from eachother before shows start. At game expos, comic cons etc. What isn't fair. Is channel's like Caleb's mjr, pixel game squad. They all have connections. Special stores discounts access to things us regulars would never be able to if we didn't know someone.
Or what bugs me is they get products sent for free that end up being hard to buy later for the rest of us. If they are not using it they should give it away.
They didn’t start with connections they had to make them. A lot of people have connections and I bet if you had them you would use them as much as possible. It’s a really stupid thing to complain about

As much as I truly enjoy the channel and Caleb. This just rubs me wrong, I’m a collector of a few different things, including video games and I go to shows and/of conventions and even though THEY ARE ALLOWING him to buy early, why not wait like everyone else? Make it fair, flood gates at 10 is the way it should be. Everyone deserves a chance at deals and early access but make it fair. When they say it opens at 10 it opens at 10. You shouldn’t just poke your head in 2 hours early and know your doing something kinda frowned upon and still do. I understand it’s his job/profession. But do it right, and wait like everyone else.

I can't help but wonder why these dealers don't sell on Amazon. Seems like they should be.
They want the money instantly and don't want to pay fees. The economy is also pretty slow online right now; people aren't buying as often as they used to.

Lies. I got a snes, wii, ps2 slim, ps4 all with games (Mario RPG, Mario All stars, Crash hd collection, God of war ps4) for $80 at a garage sale 2 weeks ago. Opportunity (isn't everywhere) but it is still there.

FR. People are buying games as collectibles and not entertainment. You should not have to pay higher than original MSRP. Full price is fair, over that is a slippery slope
@@DubsBrown It is one of them situations where no right or wrong, I enjoy the videos and they help develops a better understanding of the market and interest in the hobby but it is toxic. Its people like him who are honestly killing the community and making the entry so hard for new fans however his openly admitted and acknowledged its people like him that are killing the community.
No matter what this is gonna happen and personally rather it be someone who at least understands the damage they cause the only issue can really take is isnt fair he always takes advantage of his early entrance to sweep up any good deals which really does fuck over people hunting for a genuine collection.

Beware on the Star Wars PS4 games those are the mass retail reprint of those as they were originally Limited Run, but once Aspyr got the Star Wars license they did a mass retail reissue of those games.

Yo I just picked up the Simpsons Game at a local store for $20 a few days ago. No cover art. But $75? Dang! I almost picked up two copies for the ps3 for $5. Was that a good deal? Should I try and get them?
I will be honest here. I like most of your content and the editing is excellent. I don’t is fair you get to buy early before the convention starts. Can you explain how that works? Did you pay for a vip pass?
That convention does have a pass that lets you in 30-min early but looked like he was there way earlier than 30-min. He probably got a pass to be a vendor and was able to get in the soonest they would allow.
I respected that he said he would only pay sticker price but knew he wouldn’t be able to stick to that. This stuff happens at every convention, that’s why I don’t go anymore.
@@ezeztztztz It's not an open air-flea-market or garage sale. This is a convention within an event space that has a specific start and close time. The only people aloud into a convention that early are vendors who set up before it opens. Have you been to a convention? You cannot get in early.

If somebody was standing looking up eBay prices infront of me, I wouldn’t sell to them, I’d just sell at a higher price to him only. It’s quite rude.
If its a reseller scalper like the guy in the video, then yes. If its an honest buyer or collector looking to actually play the game, you better believe I will look it up if I dont know the value of it. If you've actually been to expos you'd know theres a bunch of overpriced junk, even higher prices than ebay, and a lot of sellers looking to rip you off.
That's pretty spiteful. You'll turn away alot of people with that attitude and lose money.
