As far as the wire in the skin. I did something similar once. I was using a claw hammer as a pry bar. Using a 3 lbs hammer to drive it. The claw hammers head fractured sending pieces flying. One piece, about the half of a pea size went into my bicep just above the elbow.
While it wasn’t painful, it bled like crazy and was hell to remove. I ended up having to go to the hospital.

It takes some special skills to get a piece of wire that deep.
