Anne is such a kindred spirit. She showers the world around her with happiness. That kindness she gave to Katherine Brooke was one of her best accomplishements. She brought the principal back to the light.
I just adore that suit anne is wearing. That was my favorite historical fashion period. When the outfits were very tailored and "practical" at least up to that time, where you could even ride a bike and move around but you still looked like a lady. I loved the form fitting skirts as well.
Rosemary Dunsmore was amazing as Katherine Brooke. She has the demeanor, the voice and the stiff, tightly-strung personality nailed. The backstory scenes are a real tearjerker.
I loved Matthew in the first movie and I loved Katherine BROOK at the end of this one. With her hair fixed and her honest smile. She just wanted to be loved.
I relate to her hard, although I didn't end up prickly and bitter, not outwardly anyway. If Anne Shirley didn't have the remarkable good luck of ending up with the Cuthberts, she might've ended up like Brooke. I wonder if she realized this.

How fantastic is that Gilbert was a gay person! I never noticed! He was one of hell of an actor! So sorry he passed. It was the film of my childhood.
