i have the old overload version of this. the looseness is exactly the same. and you don't have to worry about the spring, it's still good after being under tension for years. i also checked the minicon armor interaction, you can put the entire minicon(any of the minicons) on the shoulder, but the guns attaching to the cannon is the only bit of the armor that attached directly to the deployer. there was a separate japan exclusive set of scout/core class sized figures with minicon partner that could use the entire armor(hasbro versions existed, but instead of minicon armor they came with an energon weapon that disassembled into armor, and were packed with an enemy/decepticon minicon)
One of the wings on mine completely broke off because the peg that it fits onto was broken out of the box. I am a little peeved about it. I had to glue his wing on and now he can't transform. If this figure did not cost so much for what it is... I would just buy another...but the Megatron sucks... :(
I hope the eventually studio series is a justification for this Megatron design, I love the design so much it's a shame this is the mainline of his design
