Growing up, we lived in the barangay next to the mansion. As a little girl, I was fascinated by its exterior design and would pass by daily, wondering about how it looks like inside. Now at 49, it's refreshing to finally see inside and satisfy my curiosity. Thank you for this video. The street is aptly named Millionaire's Road due to the numerous mansions in that street.
Hi sir Fern im so 🙌 to this ancestral house that you featured today, so classy and its looks like modern type as well, thankful to you sir Fern for this episode, please take care always sir Fern 🙏✨
Thank you Sir Fern. This definitely showed how talented filipinos are.. I am blown away of how intricate the designs are inside the house and the floor designs and the art deco are amazing. What also impreses me is how articulate, knowledgeable and proud the granddaughter and great grandson are in presenting their family’s heritage. Thank you so much again Sir Ferns. You are very lucky to have featured this house because not everyone gets the chance to see this, and the owner herself toured you and tell the whole story of the house straight from the horse’s mouth so to speak. The family owned Sta Fe resort which every Bacolodnon and Negrense would agree with me that is a great part of our childhood especially that it is the only resort that is within the city and is accessible via public transport. It also have a mini zoo inside. I have lots of memories going there as a child. Sadly, the family sold it to SMDC.
Ang sarap siguro mag work sa ganyang art deco ambiance. Tapos puro modern na ang equipment pero ang feeling mo ay mid 1930s pa ren. Very impressive house. They way the lady explained specially how the floor was designed, is mindboggling, needing special skill and craftsmanship.
I grew up in Bacolod City, but I never had the chance to see that magnificent house on Burgos Street. Seeing it featured in your vlog brought back so many memories of home. A heartfelt thank you to Ma'am Lilia, the 4th-generation owner, for her generosity in sharing this beautiful piece of Bacolod’s history. It means so much to see a part of our heritage preserved and appreciated.
Hi Fern greetings from Chgo Illinois. This family is wealthy. Beautiful mansion too. Like u said this is the 1st ancestral house with an elevator. I was gonna comment on this long time ago how come I see no elevators wen the 2nd floor was pretty high, but again during that time, no electricity was available. Fern i am not a catholic but this Duomo building took my breath away. I can stay in this place the entire day just looking at the architect and pieces of work done before Jesus time. The facade of this church has a lot of carvings and each carvings tell a story. Nxt month I am joining my brother and his wife a land tour to Rome , It's a tour for seniors . This is myv1st time in Rome, Florence and my 2nd time in Venice. ❤

hi fern. back in 2016 i toured the interiors of that house along with a big group of interior designers. we were also toured by an apo of Don Generoso, although i can not anymore recall if she was also Miss Lilia. we would have stayed much longer if we didnt have so many other heritage homes to visit that day. they even prepared merienda for us. of all the heritage homes i have been to, this one is what i remember the most, simply because it is so unique and different. and so well-preserved and pure.
