    Thanks for sharing this issue and hopefully Option-O realize to lubricate the belts before shipping out. Can't wait to receive my O1.

      They are probably doing that by now. My unit was very likely the first batch.

    Is that a custom wood top on your Lagom 01? If yes, where did you source yours??

      Yes custom. Check my other video here. In the description there’s a discount code too. Greatly recommended. ruclips.net/video/hV4EIFpn3bc/видео.htmlsi=b6zrCtLX8gEK_vDp

      @@FerchoVallese thank you so much for replying so quickly! I am getting the 01 soon, upgrading from my Timemore 078S to the Option-O 01 with 102mm blind burrs. I’d love to get the wood accent for it when I do!

    Hi. Great video. I will likely check mine out soon but maybe they are lubricating it before shipping now as mine isn't too loud. I finally got my 01 a week ago! I have had fun so far. I did have a few questions if you have a moment. I am getting burr chip at 1.4 now which was not the case when I first started using it. I know this happens but wondering if you had the same experience and if I need to reset the "0" point. I have had it stall a couple of times at low rpms even with hot start. I would love to be able to direct message you as not many people have this grinder and I feel like it would be great to have discussions about it.

    • @FerchoVallese
      @FerchoVallese  9 месяцев назад +1

      Hi, you probably need to reset your zero point. The only time this happened to me was when I was cleaning the burrs but turned the outer ring instead of the locking burr carrier. Never had any creep on the grind settings. Regarding stall, didn't happen so far, but I normally run my grinder at around middle speed. Will try with low rpm, light roast, and not hot starting to test the worse condition. Feel free to dm me either on instagram or twitter (fercho_vallese).

    Have you no problems with AutoComb? I have since I got mine the problem that all the coffee grounds spins with the needles, I tried the suggestions from barista hustle to avoid this with upper the needles, quick for- and backwards spins to break up the grounds and tap grounds on one side but my ground still spins with the needles, do you ever experienced such problems?

    • @FerchoVallese
      @FerchoVallese  8 месяцев назад +1

      I did experience this issue when using darker roasts and more standard baskets. Solved either changing coffee to a lighter roast or using a more modern basket design. Also what BH recommended seemed to help.

    • @Niikolaii
      @Niikolaii 8 месяцев назад

      Ir seems that don’t help for me. I use a VST basket and medium to medium-light roasts. ☹️

    Have you found the chirp point is past the zero mark? Mine is at -0.6 roughly.

    • @FerchoVallese
      @FerchoVallese  4 месяца назад

      Not in my case. However this can be configured easily. You remove the top burr holder and screw the top part half a turn and you'll probably reach the 0 to be the chirp point.

    Great video, but isnt the noise of the Decent much worse? Still dont understand why they didnt upgrade the pump. It sounds like an antique tractor 😂

    • @FerchoVallese
      @FerchoVallese  9 месяцев назад

      It's probably worse in the emotional sense (specially after using a Lelit Bianca with a rotary pump), but it's definitely less noisy. Decent explains vibratory pump was the only reliable way to control flow of both cold and hot water.

      @@FerchoVallese thnx for your reply! I clearly remember a video where John mentions that the pump will be upgraded because he didnt like the sound either. But when the new revision was released, the pump wasnt changed which kept me from buying the Decent. Glad they didnt because ive backed Meticulous :)

      @@FerchoVallesenice! I tested a p64 for comparison this morning. Around the same 78db when grinding (75 with lid). But when it’s running empty at speed setting 3, it’s a crazy 40db which is low enough you might not know it’s on.

      Hi guys! Finally managed to put the video together! I tested the 01 at speed 6, because it's what I usually use. But it's true, speed 3-4 is considerably quieter. Check the video here: ruclips.net/video/kQDlgVlgHtQ/видео.html
