in real life, for photography, how much better do you think the autofocus is between the S and non S model ? This is my biggest question, as i'm considering the Xh2 for weddings but i have seconds thoughts if i should go for the S model because of the stacked sensor. 40mp is not a priority but the difference in price might also not make the S worth it. Hey! In real life for photography the xh2 is your camera 100% the af is going to be almost sony like the image quality is better than the xh2s’s 15pfs mechanical shutter is plenty fast for stills! I'd say the af won't be an issue! Now in the UK the xh2s just went on sale for £2099 so the price difference isn't much but I'd still pick the xh2 for your usecase!
I believe the S is going to be right for Weddings, especially low light focussing during the reception. It’s worth the extra fee. Nothing more disappointing when focusing fails by night.
Being a landscape shooter, L brackets and low shots or shots in slightly hazardous conditions are not uncommon. So the three way tilt screen and focus mode lever were appreciated to allow me to focus on photography rather than screen manipulation or menu diving. So, I am keeping my xh1 and waiting to see if the Xt5 will have the three way tilt screen. If it doesn't I guess I will bite the bullet and get the Xh2 and just keep the screen against the back in place, otherwise it surely wll be broken or be interfiered with by the L bracket.

Yeah I get it! Its hard to beat the tilt screen for low landscape shots and it's definitely easier to brake the flippy one off 😄. It's good idea to wait and see what the xt5 is going to look like and for how mouch! But as you said - the worst case scenario getting the XH2 now that's a pretty sweet option, I'll probably go for the xh2 myself. 😃
I bought the Hs2 to go alongside my XT-4 because of the reso;ution. 15FPSmechanical is enough speed for sports I shoot. If I decide to do l9t of video and birds in flight I may sell my xt-04 for the HS2S

Great summary! I'm a hobby shooter of Landscape, some Astro, General Life, but also Snowboarding for the winter time. My xt3 has been great for most of it but reason I'm looking for a new body is the bigger grip, and better autofocus. Hoping to get into a bit of video for backcountry adventures camping and hiking. I'm torn between the 2. I cerntainly don't NEEd the 40 FPS (although it could be cool!) but the rolling shutter and potential ISO noise at 1600 is a concern. Maybe I'm over thinking it and the xh2 will be bettwe. Cheaper price, increased megapixels for printing larger easier...or better autofocus with the stacked sensor....so conflicted! lol

So the autofocus is only a slightly better on the xh2s and it's a LOT better on the xh2 than the xt3/4. I agree the larger grip is so nice! The iso noise is similar all of yhese cameras the xh2s is the best but not by far! I think the xh2 would be a huge improvement in all fronts coming from the xt3. The xh2s is the more video centered camera as you know. It's not an easy choice but you can't really go wrong either way 😄 good luck 👍
I really enjoyed your video and I am leaning towards the XH2 for the main reason it is more Megapixels. But.... my only concern is will my computer cope with processing the larger files in Lightroom and Photoshop. ? Plus I will seriously have to delete more images than I do now.

Thank you for your kind words 😊 I guess it depends on your computer. I don't think it's that much of a jump (from previous fuji cameras) in terms of processing so in general you should be good. But maybe it's time to get a new computer too 😄. Yes I think the files will get a lot bigger, I use samsung t7 ssds they are amazing for editing and on sale right now, I can highly recommend them!
I was hoping to get the XH2 but from the videos out there it seems that there is a significant difference in AFD accuracy between the two models when shooting in continuous modes. I am hoping to test it myself two weeks from now when the Fuji show comes through my area... So for now I am thinking XH2s but I am really hoping that the XH2 video and AF tracking will be good enough for my use cause the extra MP of the bigger sensor gives more detail

Yeah, due to its faster sensor the xh2s is supposed to have a faster AF, but the XH2 is still going to be a lot better than the xt4 which isn't that bad. What I find is that people poop on the xt4's af but they don't have the camera set correctly for their shooting scenarios, and if it's not used as intended than of course the af will underperform. I am going for the xh2!
i pre ordered the XH2 … definitely think that is the winner albeit i am a bit concerned about the 1080 240p where as the xh2s has that 4k 120 which could be useful.. do you know if that 4k120 has audio or not ?

No audio above 60fps but to be fair if that 120 or 240fps at full hd is cleaner than the xt4 than I'll be super happy with it! Plus we'll have 8k now that's insane! 👌 I can't wait to get my hands on mine 😃

Hello i am sunny from India I love both of them still i can't figure out which one is best for me i do both photography and videography but 60,% of photos and 40% of video i think xh2s is better because of that stack sensor but same time other one has 40 mp still i can't figure out

I just can't decide lol between the XH2S and the FX30: XH2S has better video features including Black magic RAW which is a game changer for me, but slightly worse AF. The new Sony FX30 has less high-end video features, but glue like autofocus.

@ I'm mostly a video guy, I have no fuji or Sony lenses, so looking for advice. Probably trying to get around a 35mm FF equivalent.

@@quiztasiarocks it's a close call between these two bodies the sony being a lot cheaper with better af but a lot worse rolling shutter, no mechanical shutter for stills on the fx30 and more crop in 4k60 and 4k 120, I'd say glasses will cost you somewhat similar. 33mm is a bit tight for a few things but generally great choice on these apsc censors. Try them both and see how they feel! Let me know how it went 😄
I don't think it's super important, xt4's flog has 12 stops vs xh2s's flog2 14 stops, 12 stops is plenty if you want to get into colour grading. I would say for most people it's irrelevant. Put it this way if it was important to you than you'd know about it!

@@joelzicomcg yeah 💯! The only real advantage of the xhts in my eyes is the 120 4k, rolling shutter, little bit better dynamic range and af isn't a deal breaker but 8k and 40mp pretty much evens this out for me.
Lose the irritating and loud background music. When will you people ever learn that for speech content, music silence is bliss. Or learn from the real pros on how to use the right kind of music and loudness level.

Why can't X-H2S made with 33Mp instead of 26Mp since it got the stack sensor.
I am guessing it would've cost a lot more, the next cheapest amera with a stack sensor is £4500.
