The term "trauma bond" hits the nail right on the head. I thank God every day that I finally broke free of toxic relationships and now have a husband who is the kindest, most gentle soul on the planet! I think that the key to our success is he is always is looking to improve himself in all areas of his life, and he actually likes and respects me....he had a very difficult childhood and has worked tirelessly to overcome his trauma. Life is so lovely when you are living in peace and quiet....thank you for sharing and wishing you all the best!💕

I knew my relationship with my ex was toxic when he said I was "just a nurse." Well funny he didn't say that when I was just a nurse working 2 jobs to put his butt through private MBA school when he lost his job. He always said how much smarter he was bc he was so highly educated. I found out later my college gpa and my SAT scores were higher than his lol! I continue to let him tell whoever he wants how smart he is while I laugh inside.

I broke away from my toxic family 18 months ago. It’s been a journey. Luckily I have a very supportive husband and an excellent therapist helping me. The first year was the most difficult but now I finally feel free. Dr. Ramani is also amazing at helping to understand these relationships. Her channel is wonderful. Thanks Heather❤

Oh Heather it’s so good to have an influencer that’s calls it what it is, a toxic relationship! You didn’t blame him, you accept your part if making this a toxic relationship and you shared how you decided not to contribute to the toxicity by walking away. I have been that person. That’s part of how I found you 3 years ago. I wanted to be as you say in every video, “the best version of me.” I found meditation and hypnosis and I put in some really hard work that continues to this day. Thank you for this video

Hope women listening have strength to leave before they end up in my position. Btw…..last 10 yrs single have been best years of my life.

I love your relationship videos and really enjoyed the last one you made on leaving a toxic marriage (since I'm in the trenches right now). Hopefully my divorce will be finalized next month. I've been reading a lot about codependency and toxic relationships. Yes, very helpful to know we are not alone and we CAN change these patters or just be happy alone! 🎉

This was great information, I have been in an unhealthy attachment with my ex husband in the past. I did go to counseling, I did use to write and my best friend told me writing was my therapy! He was an alcoholic and he hurt me and my 2 kids they are adults now and my son is now trying to heal from the trauma, we all are but me and my daughter are a little further in our healing than my son but he is trying and we're here to help him! This is very helpful

Hi Heather I follow you for your fashion and makeup tips but live a similar dynamic. I want to say not everyone finds their abusive relationship is an addiction but it still may be hard to leave. That’s my situation. I appreciate you mentioning go no contact emotionally. I have being doing that recently as I can’t go directly no contact because of my situation 4 children together! I certainly will look into the recommended detachment meditations. I use cord cutting and removal myself which do help. This is an excellent video to bring to light for many women. I always got those vibes when you said wear what makes you feel happy. Also I’m going to try Al anon online in a few minutes! Would I do this if I loved myself? Excellent! Self love to me is healing my inner child and doing for myself what I want. Following my heart when it is connected to my brain. I absolutely agree journaling helps and have being doing so for years. Also agree whatever we dwell on becomes more. May I suggest hypoponomo (spelling?) meditation!!!❤

Heather is there a larger size silver metallic handbag that you can recommend that is larger than the Stuart Weitzman, mini moda tote. I love that Stuart Weitzman bag that you recommended but I need a larger one to go with the Larroude silver metallic heels that you recommended I have both pairs that you recommended the high heels and the low heels. Thank you kindly.
