I can't even express how much this song means to me. Who cares if he hates it or not? He created something amazing that we all as Say Anything fans enjoy. As a fan I will listen to anything they come out with because its 1,000,000:1 odds that its going to be ri-goddamn-diculously amazing. So, despite the argument of if he hates it or not just enjoy the shit and embrace each other as fans. I for one am glad ratehim put all these tunes up because he helped me find all this old amazing shit.
I love his old music, his new music, as well as him and his band.
I'm starting to think that ratehim is either Max or someone close to him because his access to sooo many songs and pictures is out of this world! But I thank god everyday that ratehim was blessed enough to share all of his collection with the world

At first I thought Ben Folds was doing a spot on the intro...great song.
Just a thought i had from reading your comments. I dont know Max Bemis at all, but he's been pretty open with his fans about how dark a place he was at back when Say Anything first started gaining popularity, and how he's not depressed anymore so he "can't" write about all the terrible stuff in his life. I just think that it seems like he wouldn't like reliving those emotions he felt when he was writing that stuff, despite how good it is musically or what it did for his popularity.

I agree, I don't think he was so much ashamed as.. saddened by it. He wasn't prepared to be signing those songs again. I believe his songs meant so much to him, he couldn't put himself through singing them while he was so yaknow, "high" on his love with Sherri. It could have triggered something. Just the other day, I saw a video on here of him singing Baseball. He's comfortable with it now, I suppose.
@ratehim The reason why he doesn't play most of his old songs is because it brings back painful memories. He said so when I asked him in person 9 months ago.

@jasonroxorz ...you're trying to say his newer stuff, which has lyrics like "a girl i like, i'd rather ride a bike" and "alone in my apartment, that i call my department, 'cause it's a depressing apartment" is better than his old stuff? personal opinion, i guess. you're speaking for max bemis as if you are him or, at the very least, know him very well. you have no right to go on saying "he's definitely ashamed of it" and "he hates everything baseball" when you're just making assumptions.
