- Time to have a big reset in the house, organise and speed clean! After the heatwave in the UK I was left feeling overwhelmed and like there were loads of cleaning and organising jobs I needed to do, this is a productive and motivating house cleaning and home organisation video with a speed clean!

Wrap the Rose's in newspaper with the heads straight, cut ends and put back in water.....when stiffened unwrap....hope that makes sence

Hi Lara 🥀 fill vase with water first, take off the dead leaves then chop the bottoms I also put a slit upwards in bottom of stem so they pull up more water hope that helps the key is to not let the stems seal over as soon as you cut them put the straight in water, that applies to most flowers 🌸

Just a tip for the flowers, if you remove the leaves (or most of them) the flowers will last longer x

I totally understand the fresh flower thing, I love them too. I can never have them as my OH has year round really bad plant allergies so no real plants or flowers allowed :(

In regards to your wood in your bathroom. We had the same a workman put his coffee on our log burner mantelpiece 😭. And way a wet and dry sand and the bees wax and it was bone. Do that and it will be gone ours was gone after we followed the fire installers advice. X

I thought about you all in the UK with the extreme heat. Being in Arizona, we normally get the high heat but of course have air conditioning helps. Hopefully, you all will cool down soon or at least back to normal temps this time of year.
It was very unusual for the UK, I think as things change with Global warming we may well start to get more widely used AC, but of course that will only add to the problem - catch 22 as we call it! Thanks for watching xx
Did the flowers revive? Next time remove all the leaves as they are taking water that you want to direct all water to the flower head). Same when you get them, remove all bar the nicer ones or all of you don't need them for greenery. 🌹

Also when flower heads a hanging take the leaves off the stem as they are dying and the flower is giving energy to the leaves to keep them alive so get rid of them so all the energy can go to the flower itself
I have solid wood furniture and had a mark like your shelf . The person who made them said rub down with some fine sandpaper and use rapeseed oil . I got mine off Amazon, can send you the link if you would like me too… They look even better than before now 😂 love your videos as always xx

Kitchen looks beautiful! House update be nice even though not close to owning property. Think harder as someone single and with debt (however not a lot as realised only around £3000 debt left so not much in grand scheme of things and slowly getting there)

I have been trying to deep clean and declutter my house just got so bad recently. Both my children where sick for 2 weeks and ended up with antibiotics. Then my eldest was at school for 2 days and got chickenpox. Then exactly 2 weeks later my daughter got it. During all that I had 2 big exams 😵💫. Then the heat hit and it made me so sick.Everything just kept piling up so now I'm finally catching up lol x

I'm in south Africa and New to your channel. We having our winter now. I bet you aren't used to that heat. My late father was from Kent. Couldn't take the heat. But when he married my mom he moved to south Africa and had to endure and get used to our heatwaves

For the flowers , remove lower leaves and put some sugar / lemonade in the water as food.

Hi Lara, please research how bad artificial grass is for the environment. It is an absolute nightmare, bad for all wildlife 😓 Also lillies are incredibly poisonous to cats so do cut off and dispose of pollen. My mums cat almost died after getting lily pollen on his paws... Xx

Please don’t get artificial grass, it holds the heat terribly and kills the soil underneath, it’s an ecological nightmare.

How many degrees is it normally there? I’m just curious 😊
In the summer it's usually about 25 centigrade, and then today (autumn) it was 7 degrees this morning, probably around 12 the rest of the day x This summer it was VERY hot for us, around 38 degrees on some days! (we have no air con to help)
@@LaraJoannaJarvis WOW! I suppose going from that cold would seem very hot. I live in California so 77 degree day is a nice cooler day for us. I’d love your weather though. I wish it was colder here sometimes.

Oooooooh so it was over 100 degrees Fahrenheit! Yes that is hot without air. Did it cool down at night?
Nope - it was like a hot summer's day at night, around 27 degrees!! It was not easy to get sleep, but much cooler now thankfully! xx
Just found your channel, your house is beautiful and your videos are lovely to watch. Just a few quick things, if you have a cat you should never have lillies in the house. The whole plant is toxic for cats and cause liver failure in less than three days which is heartbreaking.
Also please please please reconsider plastic grass, it’s incredibly bad for the environment and it contributes to the ‘heat island’ effect in urban areas.
Which means that the lack of natural vegetation will make your house much warmer than it already is when we see the next 40 degree weather in the U.K. It will also exacerbate flooding issues.
Hair up and dangly eating are the way forward you look so fresh
