@@asimhussain8716 Yeah I can agree with you there. My internet unfortunately isn't the greatest so my mood regarding Smash has soured slightly. Luckily Rivals of Aether has playable netcode, so I've been getting my platform fighter fix through that lately. I wish you the best of luck!

Leo, Sam, Tweek, Maister, Dabuz, and ESAM (sometimes Gluto) have been in almost every "major" tournament, but they don't top 8 as often as wifi players
His longest streak is 5. I think he can go up to 10+ if he wanted. Even a lot of melee players have a streak of 10 back to back tournament wins.

@@redduck6483 that is not true. Nairo played online tournaments a month ago, so did samsora and maister is on most of them aswell. Dafuq you on about, Naifu wars isnt the only online tournament out there
@@redduck6483 you should check your facts before saying nonsense. Tweek hasn't placed lower than 4th in an online major. Dabuz consistently gets top 8 and even top 4. Maister, ESAM, and Cosmos typically make top 8 as well, or at least close to it. All of these players have done significantly better than Leo who's had one standout 2nd at the quarantine series major. Besides that, Leo literally has the worst online results outside of Samsora (who definitely has the worst of any top offline player).

i wish they would have let it like in smash 4 i hate it now
boredaflel I’m somewhat the same. They show that kind of love for certain characters and just ignore others, and it sorta magnifies the inconsistency. It’s like when Marth and Roy only spoke Japanese in the last games and everyone wondered why they never bothered with English VA. Then in Ultimate they finally get it, but Cloud still doesn’t have English lines and it’s arguably even more awkward with him being the only one in the game now to be Japanese only. They made it a point to highlight the fact that you can play as both versions of Ike but Roy technically had a different, “younger” version in Melee and that’s nowhere to be seen. They reworked all these animations and attacks, yet Chrom is still present in Robin’s final smash and victory pose. Every improvement only makes me question the ongoing issues or inconsistencies that aren’t addressed.

Good to see Leo's Byleth finally getting some good results even though he lost the set. Both Byleth and Robin feels like characters that can kill you very early in stupid ways but it looks like Robin can do that a lot more consistently.

The Conjurer I mean it arcs downwards and is fire so it seems like a fine name. It doesn't "arch" downwards.
If you catch them above 30 with it, it's a death sentence. That said, even if it doesn't kill, it's still almost 50% damage, for effectively free.
I feel very proud of Angel. Really love seeing some nice Robin play.

What an amazing set. Leo's Byleth is incredible to watch. Angel played around his options really well. Both of these knuckleheads cheesed each other. This set was a ton of fun to watch. So many micro interactions and positioning plays were made as each player adapted to the other. So good.

@@shyboievris834 I personally see them having more speed as not being that threatening except maybe with down air. Their moves are still too slow to have pressure like Roy and Chrom for example. The thing I feel Byleth is missing the most is down tilt range because I think it really should be about as long as Ridley's forward tilt or something and be central to the gameplay - otherwise Byleth barely works as a character and the only reason Leo can use Byleth is because of godlike reads and setups.
@@sigurdtheblue I think Byleth is still very effective as a character even if their moves are slow. And down tilt lacking alone wouldn't be detrimental to Byleth's gameplay. And Leo getting all those reads and making insane plays with the character just emphasizes their potential. Byleth doesn't need any improvements in speed or (gods help me if this happens) range, they just need a proper player. For example, Pikachu wouldn't be were it is if Esam wasn't piloting. Or Joker with Leo. That's why I feel if Byleth was any faster (at the time I had actually meant general speed, not just ground speed) they'd be terrifying.
I’m normally not too big of a leo fan when it comes to anyone in top 10, but it feels so good watching Leo be good again.

I've been a Robin Main since Sb4 & this dude breathes new life into the Character.
As a big Nier Automata fan, when the commentator started ranting about it being ridiculous having to beat Nier “multiple times” for it to be “good”, I definitely felt a little sad.
The game probably could have phrased it better, in that if you only beat route A, you haven’t beaten the game, you’ve just finished part 1 of like 3, with like 5 story endings between the parts.

It goes to show how truly skilled Leo is that he can keep this even at 70 ping when his opponent is at 10 ping. The difference between those two latencies is astounding in a game where its so important to be frame perfect
Not taking anything away from Angel, his gameplay was also amazing, just worth noting Leo's disadvantage
They both suffer from the latency equal, the connection between them is one, which means they both equally suffer

The best way to beat Robin is full out aggression, AKA just use a top tier and mash buttons. That’s the most effective way to play the game anyway so :)

Why is everyone hating on Leo? I’ve never been a massive fan of him, but I have a massive respect for his joker. Sure he does win most of his tournaments with joker but that’s because joker is his kind of character, the input lag makes it hard to be accurate with joker so he has to fall back on other characters during online play, I’m not saying these other players aren’t good, they are amazing, but people saying Leo isn’t number one anymore isn’t called for.
He’s also won majors and many sets with wolf, Marth, Lucina etc

@@dainiergarcia5076 it's a common move in the robin arsenal, The largest issue is when you do the whole combo, and a damn bronze sword comes out instead of a levin.
I have failed so many kills because i only had a levin out at the start of the combo.

It's been cool to see different playstyles and players winning in the main tourneys over the last few months. But I am reaching a point of seriously missing the offline style of play now and the class associated with it. Gonna love watching the technical skills and wild spacing game of MkLeo when it comes back.

Online is a whole different world than offline
The input delay makes harder for joker to keep up his own combos, leo doesn’t want to mess up his offline game style so he’s been using wolf, cloud, lucina, ike and byleth
He honestly isnt that bad online. Leo just doesn't like to play him online.
