    Who says having one 15mm model means the entire game needs to be that scale- maybe the band got cursed in some way and shrunk down, then you could have a mix of whatever scale you want at the time with a funny backstory to tell your opponents.

    I really enjoy "travel size" wargaming and painting to a "tabletop ready" standard on a 15mm scale model is not only incredible quick but also looks way better than it should when you start moving all the tiny minis around together at arms length. Half-scale is obviously most appealing for when you just don't have space for a full 4'x4' board or bigger but having a little pocket skirmish game ready to go at a moments notice is its own kind of fun, imo. Great paint job and glad you enjoyed Salute. Thanks for sharing!

    I'm of the opinion that almost all 28mm+ wargames can be reduced to 15mm and play the same, but are suddenly much cheaper and easier to store. It's an excellent scale.

    Great vid and with so many other great vids referenced it works as must see compilation too.
    That's a lovely finished mini, and in all of the troops raised for the wars of Napoleon someone absolutely would have uniformed his personal retinue in vivid orange and green.
    The colours definitely bring the tiny guy to life and a dozen of his company advancing in two lines across a verdant green field would just make you grin to see.
    Great vid and with so many other great vids reminders it works like a must see reminder too.

    • @52Miniatures
      @52Miniatures  20 дней назад +1

      Thank you Phil! I might want to try and do more of a "brown" one. Like, some renegade battalion without coloured uniform. But then I'll have to figure out some kind of signal colour somewhere to bring them to life. The "red hats" perhaps.

      @@52Miniatures As another english fan of the Sharpe books, I particularly enjoyed how the series represented the spanish guerillas. As irregulars entirely in non-uniform clothing it was mostly browns and many individuals wearing a decorated jacket, fancy boots or cool hat that they'd clearly looted as borrowed finery. They looked every bit the forerunners of low budget movie mexican revolutionaries, just a bit more musket and sword than pistolero

    15mm on regular round bases look surprisingly good. Food for thoughts, playing 28mm games with no other changes but miniature scale seems possible, might even makes range make a little more sense with guns.

    As a Napoleonics nerd I was disturbed to see that your soldier belongs to no known regiment - unknown in the real world, that is, which, given the game’s premise, obviously cannot be argued with. If you’re planning to build an entire unit from this mysterious corps, however, you may want to consider what battle honour(s) should be embroidered on its Colonel’s colour; Sartorial Taste would perhaps be as good as any. On the other hand, as I believe the game allows you to form your unit from a variety of parent regiments, you have the opportunity to add, say, a Highlander (you’ll love painting the tartan on the kilt, I’m sure) and, of course, a Rifleman on detached duty, perhaps replacing the overall rifle green with a magenta and yellow combination for maximum discombobulation of the spectral enemy, to say nothing of your fellow players. The possibilities, for good or ill, are endless.

    It is not your best video. And I'm not writing that to do any harm - I do it out of love and admire. There should be minis painted not as good as we get used to, and there should be videos like that. I will not unsubscribe, I will not hate the channel and I do not mean, that that is something wrong with you. I'm just glad, that it is not always perfect. And, hey, it may be only my opinion - I think, that if I always share good opinion about the channel, I can get away with one a little worse (but honest as usual). Always waiting for your next video. Always wish you the best! Thank you for all the work!
