    I love this pattern and want go thank you for showing the mattress stitch on the seams. I'm fairly new to crochet and have been making tops all summer but never saw this used before. I used it on a top I was finishing and omg, what a difference in the look of the seam and the way it lays! You're an excellent teacher and designer and again, thank you so much!💜💜💜

    Just completed the cardigan and overall very pleased with it. The pattern is easy to follow and the measurements given are accurate provided the correct yarn and hook size are used. Always check your tension. I would highly recommend this pattern.
    Unfortunately the same cannot be said for all patterns available on the internet, some of which have proved to be unreliable and can often result in an unsatisfactory finished item.
    I have been crocheting for many years now and prior to the days when patterns were available on the internet.
    Back in the day when patterns were designed by yarn manufacturers these patterns were tried and tested by experienced people and were reliable.
    This is not necessarily the case with internet patterns where it seems one person designs it and tests it out.
    This means that there can be too much room for error and they can be unreliable. Not something you want to happen when you invest time and money and end up disappointed. It could also put you off crocheting.

    I absolutely love this pattern. If anyone has ever wanted to make this cardi, do it! It is so easy and fast! I have made many in different colors and will be a great gift for Christmas. I improvised on a couple of them so that the front panels will be closer together and little longer sleeve area!

    I'm glad I bought an extra skein. I used 3 skeins to finish the body of the sweater with trim, but I still need to finish the sleeves.

    • @DianaSchneider1
      @DianaSchneider1 4 года назад

      Did you buy 4 skeins in all? I only bought two and making a size L. I thought I read somewhere she used 294 yards and thought 2 would be enough.

    • @glynette6570
      @glynette6570 4 года назад +1

      Diana-yes, I bought 4 total skeins (246 yards each). I only need a small portion of the last one to finish, but 3 would’ve left me a little short. I made a size medium sweater. I found her directions confusing, and you definitely won’t have enough with 294 yards.

    • @DianaSchneider1
      @DianaSchneider1 4 года назад

      @@glynette6570 thank you for answering! I ordered two more. Sadly, it won't be the same dye lot.

    • @glynette6570
      @glynette6570 4 года назад

      Diana, with that yarn, it might not matter. If you’re not too far along, you could either start over with matching dye lots, or change skeins frequently and blend the two dye lots.

      Depending on the lady, yes. If you'd like to add a few extra rows to the front panels you can before seaming up the sides :)

    I love this pattern! I just finished it. Actually ran out of yarn for the extra single crochets and slip stitches around. I made the size medium. I used one of the clearance yarns I purchased through the fabulous clearance yarns from Hobby Lobby. It came out fantastic and very easy to do. Sadly, because of the size of my chest, it just was not flattering on my. So I do plan on giving this one away, even though it came out beautiful. I need to look for something more flattering on my. You have so many great patterns, so I think I need something with more angles. Anyway, thank you for the great and easy tutorial.

    I love this pattern. In using different yarn and i accidentally made mine about 3 in wider than it should be but by the time i realized i didnt want to start over. It eill just be oversized lol. If it does end up being way too big ill either gift it or take it all apart, but that would be sad.
