  • How to test your wiper relay to see if that's why the wipers don't work. This was from a 2006 BMW 330i but I think it's similar with other relays. I am not a mechanic and I don't guarantee this will work for you.... Hopefully this video helps someone.

Their is usually a diagram on the side of the relay showing you which connections are normally closed and which connections are normally open. Most relays you have to apply power to them to listen for the clicking sound of the contacts opening and closing because sometimes relays get stuck closed or stuck in the open position instead of functioning as it should.

I ve changed the relay and the system works except for the intermittent and double speed. The old relay would work but one speed only and not on all positions. Is the motor faulty if the intermittent does nt work. I tested the multi plug conection and everything works except double and intermittent speed.

Set the meter to the diode test (continuity). The symbol looks like a triangle with a line through it. The broken relay shows open circuits with all connectors.

    What's the meter on? Dc?

No not DC. It was on OHMS to check conductivity / resistance. When you touch the two electrodes together it should show if there's conduction or not.
