    It's not the PBs in the 4x100 that are important, but the partials. Tortu in the 4x100 in Tokyo ran 8,845, which is a time that in the relay people like Brommell, Coleman, Omanyala, Su Bingtian, Simbine etc etc have never run or even come close to. Yesterday he ran in 9.05, giving up the last 10 meters and even opening his arms. Tortu is a relay monster. Bol was just cruising like it was a morning jog. Like a light training to warm up a bit. It looked like she was not even running at 60%. Because she knew that the win was already theirs the moment she took the baton.

    The 400m european champion who run a PB of 48.98 didn't use a good strategy in that last leg she run every curve from 2nd lane that made her run at least 407 meters and got herself exhausted in last 100m

    Incredible Women's LJ competition with Mihambo's 7.22m (-1.4) & 6.80m only good enough for 7th place, the standard of the Jumps have been excellent, can the raised platform become the norm pls @Major Meets? :) Good to see Mihambo, Mondo, Karalis & Iapichino all jumping well. ITA's M4x1 can still bring in the likes of Ali & Simonelli, would love to see it at least once. Interesting seeing Dina on the 1st leg of GB's W4x1, very reminiscent of her Coach using her training partner Julien Alfred on the 1st leg of Texas's W4x1 NCAA record-setting team. 17:24; NED's Tasa Jiya loves nothing more than running down a Swiss Sprinter on the last leg of the 4x1 :) S/O IRL's record 4 Medals, they just keep getting better & better with Adeleke & Mawdsley as an incredible backbone!

    • @tascrphs

      The runway is not "grounded" it's elevated, and as a result "springy", hence the athletes are getting a good 10 to 20 cm on their jumps.
      Mihambo is undeniably a global talent, but even she was shocked how far she "flew".

    • @AllInTheGame01
      @AllInTheGame01 5 месяцев назад

      @@tascrphs Literally wrote that it's a "raised platform", but even so, a lot of the jumps over the 6 days were into headwinds so it all balances out e.g. Mihambo jumped 7.03 (-1.3m/s) in Qualifying & 7.22m (-1.4m/s) in the Final.
