UP's Rock Train

With daylight still clinging, Amtrak 14 rolls north to San Jose just outside of Gilroy's city limits.
Moving to Morgan Hill, the all EMD Power on Union Pacific's "Rock Train" scream towards the Peninsula where it will finish half of its job.
Yes the second unit was an EMD SD40-2.

Nice vid!! and by the way I really dont know why engineers always have to quill the 8300's half the time because it ruins the true sound of cabs like 8313, 8314, 8307, 8308, 8302, & 8311 also I heard about that there is a air valve that the 8300's use for their horns do you know what that is for just by any chance?
