Waimea Airport is mostly helicopter tours and skydiving. Before flying any drone contact the FAA and go through the proper paperwork. But in this scenario if you didn’t, I wouldn’t be too concerned
My friends and I used to mountain bike that trail all the way to the backside of Waimea and then drop down into town via the far western cinder cone. After the big earthquakes in 96, several sections of the trail were gone and you couldn't go that far anymore. I'll have to see if anyone repaired them. We parked in town by the soccer fields and rode to White Rd from there. A big loop. Not so sure I'd have the nerve to ride that narrow trail like that again with those 2k' cliffs.
@@jonathannebelsick7247 It needs to be scouted by foot first and then there's the parking situation. Not sure about riding along the busy hwy these days. Back then no one cared where you went as long as you closed the gates behind you and were in small groups. Oh yeah, I'm old now too 🙂 There were a few hike-a-bike sections at ravines. After you pass the huge fallen tree. If it's still there. It's purely a technical type of ride. Lots of rocks and tree roots.
If you had gone through the tunnel at the top of the waterslide you'd have found another longer and more fun similar waterslide just outside the tunnel
@@aurorahays4585 yes, if you make it to this waterslide, then at the top instead of sliding down keep walking towards the end of the tunnel at the top of the slide. You'll end up exiting the tunnel seeing another bigger slide.
Dude just mute every video you watch with your family including movies too and there you go… no more worries. Oh and don’t go around telling people what they should or shouldn’t do… nothing about this video mentions family friendly or not suitable for all audiences.
Hey I have a question. I see you did a drone shot. Did your drone have any problem flying since there is a small airport in Waimea ?

Damn I lived big island my whole life never heard of that place
Not crickets, the noise you hear are from coqui frogs.
Love the video, definitely looks like an epic hike. Is the hike on All Trails? I'm having a hard time finding it.
That’s looks awesome! Great video! How long did the hike take?
Thanks! It’s not a long one. We took our time but it only takes a couple hours
I fell of that bridge at 2:40 in the video when I was 11! I made it without a scratch! It was muddy just like the video!
Howd you know about this place at 11
@@ripster9713 I went on the hike with my family and church. Beautiful hike, I’d go back again if I could.
If you choose to float back, where does it spit you out? All the way at the end?
I believe you could ride it further than we did but we got out at the large black tube that spans the valley.

Wait what? I’m here on big island right now there’s another bigger waterslide?

I check it today, yes there is a second slide but it’s much shorter. So it is not correct. The one in the video is the biggest slide ☺️
u guys deserves more views and subs!!!!!
Thanks! Much appreciated
A !
What I did different was I went through the tunnels instead around to reach the waterfall
