I'm so happy I found your videos! I'm a first year apprentice in Canada and it has been incredibly challenging to find any good sources expanding on the CEC. Thank you so much for posting these videos. I think if you started a Patreon it would be pretty successful, because I'm not aware of any other Canadian electricians filling that niche
Hello there, As I previously commented on some of your videos, your job is fantastic and extremely useful even for me that have not had any deep information about Canadian Code book. I just have a general comment: I used to listen to your posts with headphone for more concentration. Every time the introducing music starts I have a couple of seconds of hard time to find myself :) Although It is an energetic theme but the tempo and the level of this intro music is 180° out of phase with your nice and calm voice 🙂
Thanks for the info! When editing I try to keep the intro music to the same db level as the speech, but I will dial it back even more for future videos! Thanks for watching!
The rule 23 tells me that for a multiconductor with separation of greater than 25% and less than 100% of the largest cable, use table 2 multiplying by table 5C and table 5D Table 5D covers up to six (6) cables horizontally in ventilated and ladder- type cable trays, what if there are more than six (6) cables, what is the correction factor? In my case I have 8 cables with 3 conductors each, the factor with table 5C is 0.70 and I need to multiply the 0.7 by the factor of the 5D table but I don't know what factor to use if I have 8 cables in a single layer. Thanks!! Regards
4-004 21) is a reference to table 66. The rule I have mentioned is 4-004 22). Which used to be subrule 23) but with the deletion of table 39 and the rule referencing it, subsequent rules have shifted back one.
Thank you kind sir! Keep it up, we the apprentices and such need these videos for very good content.

Rule is not available in this CEC2021 what you told tht its only showing this Rule 4-004 21).
4-004 21) is a reference to table 66. The rule I have mentioned is 4-004 22). Which used to be subrule 23) but with the deletion of table 39 and the rule referencing it, subsequent rules have shifted back one.
Is a cable tray still considered a raceway in the 2021 code? if not does 4-004 still apply to cable tray?
It does but it would be covered under 4-004 22), 23), and 24)!
Do you have any special video plans for the new CEC 2021 Book?
I do. Slowly roll them out. I just have to dedicate some time to it soon.
@@schulerruler look forward to it!
