      I am proud of our players, but we weren't playing the OSU team that we have in the past. Congrats on the win! We did well today, but there's bigger and better team on the horizon.

    Gundy is a hell of a coach and will right the ship like he always does. Great program and great man. One of the legends of cfb we just beat.
    For now, props to Neal and the Eers for getting a well needed dominant W. Did their job and were able to quash any doubts going into this one. There were some coaching issues I had but ultimately we blew out a top tier program. Let’s go mountaineers!
    Will see if we are legit when we play the cyclones.

    Nice Win, good job today. My only complaint is the lack of running the offense as to make a statement . We have a stacked offense, with great receivers and running backs..we are averaging around 30 points a game, which is good. But the offense is run oriented and takes what defense dictates...wvu should open up the offense using all the talent and not just RBs, and impose its will on the defenses with more balance offense. Seems we only throw when behind. Those receivers need to be getting work. Brown will predictably run 200 times a game if he could... its boring and we are going to lose good receivers if they feel they can't get any opportunities to secure a professional future. Holgs running this offense with the talent would be something to see.

    • @user-pn1fj5vz5c
      @user-pn1fj5vz5c  12 часов назад

      Why do you think WVU has great receivers, or a great passing game? BTW running for 360 yards is in no way "boring". And if you think DAna is a better coach than Neal, well...

    • @WV-USAF
      @WV-USAF 11 часов назад

      @user-pn1fj5vz5c if you recall the 2 minute offense, when greene had the ability to show a little urgency with the spread and his ability to create, our receivers of ray, bray, clement, robinson, gallagher...the tight ends, they produce. We can score quickly and often. I agree, we played good against OSU and we have great RBs, I just want us to be less one dimensional, and go for the statement win or nail in coffin wins against teams, when we can. Today we did it, but against better teams, we are gonna have to score often and quickly. Its not about holgorsen being better, his offenses were explosive when he had talent. How many seam, corner or go routes do you see with our offense now? when is the last 1000 yard receiver? Robinson should be Kevin white by now lol. I understand Brown is run oriented , conservative coach, my point was use the talent we have and open it up more, which also brings less predictable plays and more exciting games. I'll take the win though, anyway we can.

    Don’t love the quote “ since the Pitt game simplifying and figuring out what we do well”
    Why don’t you know what your scheme is already? Dictate the game Neal. Don’t let it dictate you.

    • @user-pn1fj5vz5c
      @user-pn1fj5vz5c  12 часов назад +1

      Because no matter how much you practice, often you don't learn things about the team until they play in games. And teams are always evolving. Did you know for example, that TJ Jackson would be so productive? Or that the secondary would have problems? Coaches continue to try to make adjustments.

    • @Eersfan97
      @Eersfan97 10 часов назад

      @@user-pn1fj5vz5c of course, that’s fair. There is always fluidity to game planning. I don’t fully buy that as an explanation though. There’s been little consistent identity to the program since Neal has been here. Think of any elite coach you know. Do you think 5 weeks in they’re trying to figure out their teams strengths?
      Can you honestly say that you know what it is a Neal Brown team consistently does well? For example, the one thing I thought would get cleaned up for sure was discipline in the program. We are below average in the big 12 when it comes to penalties during his time, averaging 6-7 a game. Plenty more examples of that.
      This game follows last years trend of steps in the right direction. I would need to see that sustained going forward.

    • @Goeers206
      @Goeers206 19 часов назад +3

      Stop being delusional, this is a new era of CFB where a head coach not only has to oversee development and overall coaching, but they have to navigate the transfer portal and NIL. While doing all this Brown is still over .500 and is .500 in bowl wins. Give it a rest. We have a good coaching staff that recruits well and, most importantly, instills a good culture for the young men that come to play at West Virginia.All you all that constantly whine even when we win just make our fanbase look weak.

      I’m more than fine with the play calling, we held onto the ball for 42 minutes and with a defense that’s proven they can be a liability, thats the best game plan. They sustained drives, continued with what was working, and really didn’t have many negative plays. One thing I don’t agree with is only using Rodney Gallagher on weird jet sweeps, it’s for whatever reason the only way they get him the ball
