The Roughtech Ember is my third Tikka rifle. I keep adding to the collection because I love smooth action, and the accuracy of the Tikka T3X is exceptional. I have a T3 in 243 with beautiful blued finish, and a T3X stainless in 223 Remington. The Roughtech Ember is a cut above my other Tikka rifles with a lot of special rifles usually only found on custom rifles.
Special Features: The new Tikka T3X Lite Roughtech Ember incorporates a Tikka Lite stainless steel action with a barrel that is fluted and threaded. It also has a spiral fluted bolt with large bolt knob. The special stock has a new “grippy” finish and new and improved recoil pad. A very nice muzzle break is included, but I will be using my suppressor.
    Tikka T3X Lite Roughtech Review
Roughtech Coating: At the heart of the Roughtech’s durability lies its unique Roughtech coating. Applied to the synthetic stock, this rugged finish provides an enhanced grip and superior resistance to scratches, abrasions, and weather elements. The Roughtech coating is to ensure that the rifle maintains its functionality and appearance even after rigorous use in rugged terrains. It is a very handsome finish and it feels completely different than the standard Tikka stock. If feels stronger and more like a solid stock.

Nice rifle! I also have 3 stainless t3x lite's and they're all insanely accurate. Have thought about a Wideland Camo because I love the look of them, slightly heavier barrel profile, and believe they have a similar Roughtech finish? Is that a Contessa pic rail? I have them on all my Tikka's as well to be able to swap to thermal. One thing I don't like about the Contessa Steel Rails is they rust whenever you look sideways at em.

Thanks for your comment. Rail is EGW. I run a Thermion on my AR with QD mount. The rear extension of EGW lets me use it on my Tikka T3 and have good eye relief.

@@Theolddeerhunters EGW make nice gear, I take it that the mount is reversible so you can have it extending forwards or backwards like you have it setup?
Some say that alloy mounts get chewed up if you're continually removing and replacing your optics, how have you found alloy mounts in that respect?

@@audieladd2476 It is reversible and I have been running same rail on my 243 for couple of years with no problems. Move my Thermion quite often using ADM mount.

@@Theolddeerhunters Yes I think it makes a difference because it's EGW alloy and not a $2 E-Bay special. Thanks for another great video.

The Wideland camo I believe use the same barrel profile

You put the rail on backwards. It’s not ‘reversible’.

I put it on that way to test thermal scopes made for AR's that have short eye relief. Zero MOA rail.
