Honestly, the people suing the guy in story 2 really are ridiculous. The kid could've just as easily taken a knife or any other common item from the kitchen and caused way more damage. I doubt a kid who was angry and/or crazy enough to kill/beat up his parents would go "there's no wrench? aw shucks, I guess I better just peacefully return to my room now"
The mom is grappling with the realization that the child she loved so much was prepared to kill her over a phone. Rather than accepting that her child is messed up (Or they may have been bad parents somehow), she wants to believe that if it weren't for X Y Z (If it hadn't been the wrench, it would've been literally anything else), that he wouldn't have acted in a messed up way. Sadly for her, that's not how reality works. But love and fear do weird things to people, especially when linked to the same subject.
I was thinking the same thing . The fact that they were reluctant to call the cops in the first place, I would hope a judge could see that right there, along with the fact that it obviously had not been a large enough issue for her to have expressed multiple times that he needed to please take or store his tools safely. She is in denial. if it weren't his tool it could have been worse. Like an axe or knife or , hey what if dads guns were accessible? If they were able to get up and have a discussion about calling the police , they were LUCKY it wasn't a knife or worse!! Mental Health Issues exist. As a mother myself , I know it's something we don't wish for , but we give birth to them, and as a parent . ignoring them and blaming others is not helping their child. She will help him bury the body of his next victim , and then she'll have a full blown serial killer child. And sue all outdoor retail stores, trash bag companies, etc. SMH
@@HexIsme Exactly. They're just looking for somebody to blame other than their own crappy parenting. If it hadn't been his phone, then it would have been over the X-Box.
As to story #2, what your parents should have told you, is NEVER mix business with pleasure. Because things like this happens, this batshit crazy woman wants to sue you? Then WHY isn’t her son back home? If it was all the plumbers fault than there’s no reason sonnyboy can’t come home. Reality is that the son would’ve grabbed anything wrench, bat, pan etc. this is the parents fault bottom line!
The second story is ridiculous. His friends wife is a total moron for thinking that it’s his fault for leaving his tools where her son could get to them. “He wouldn’t have done what he did had the wrench not been available to him” … are you serious? If it wasn’t the wrench, their son would have grabbed something else. Regardless it’s 100% their deranged sons fault. Their son would have still gone through with his plan of hurting his parents and would have just grabbed another object that would have injured them. I hope she tries to sue him, and loses.
My thoughts on story #2. This lady is in immense emotional pain because of what her son did. I think she can’t come to terms over the shocking fact that their son deliberately tried to harm them. Hence, why she is deflection the blame on this guy? Because blaming someone else enables her to deny the reality than face the pain of truth.
Story 2: The kid has some serious issues. The kid wanted to hurt his parents, and went into the kitchen to retrieve any weapon he could get his hands on, and the posters tools just happened to be the first thing he could grab. And if he hasn't used one of the posters tools, he'd of probably got something that could inflict more fatal injuries
My husband is a plumber. Thank you so so much, from the bottom of a plumber' wife's heart, for those stories and the awareness you brought to the subject. You sir, are amazing! 💯💪👏👏👏👏
Right! It is crazy how many people should be charged with murder or attempted murder, but get way lesser charges. Then they get out, and do the same thing again. When if they were charged appropriately they would not have been able to hurt anyone else.
I get what you mean, but I think the OP meant that it's extreme when looking at the temporary insanity verdict. When you look at the verdict independent of the person, it IS extreme, but if you do take the person into the picture, it's well deserved. So I really get what you mean, but I think that's all the OP meant by the statement that it's extreme.
@@haleygeorge4133 I get what you are saying. I think some crimes of passion could be temporary insanity. For example, if a person walks in on their spouse cheating and snaps and beats them to death. If they have never had a criminal record or history of violence. It's obvious the person will never murder again and it was 100% caused by the situation. Were they temporarily insane? I think they were. But should they go to jail or to the mental hospital? I think most criminals should get psychological treatment. We are supposed to be rehabilitating folks as well as punishing them. But a lot of folks get out of prison harder and more messed up than when they went in.
@@KrinchiD I totally agree. Prisons should be rehabilitation and not damnation. So I get the psychological treatment idea. Buuuut I don't think we'll ever see that coming 😂😂

Story 4: OP, PLEASE don’t blame yourself for what happened. Ignoring that you were sick that day, there was nothing you could have done. In fact, if you had been there it’s more than likely you would have died too. Considering the killer had a criminal record it’s more than likely he wouldn’t have let a witness go. You also clearly don’t blame Richard for what happened and he kind of had something to do with it, so please don’t feel guilty. If Bob was half the guy you were describing him to be there’s no way he would’ve wanted you to blame yourself. RIP Bob.
Don't worry about the suit Buddy. If she sues you u sue her. Her husband needs to really put his foot down. Remember a paralegal is always cheaper than a lawyer and for the most part they do just as good of a job. Best of luck.
You have no idea how much I appreciate that you make a constant effort to pronounce words correctly. No deliberate mush mouth pronunciation like Chills, no weird intonation fluctuations like some other RUclipss. Your voice is soothing and relaxing. The only word I'd recommended pronouncing differently would be Nevada. It's Ne-VAD-duh (VAD sounds like DAD) NOT Ne-VAH-duh (VAH LIKE SPA). It's the East coast education system that teaches the wrong pronunciation, however you would do all of us Nevadans proud if you pronounced it the correct way. I adore your channel. Thank you for all you do!_
Bc he talks well the captions are perfect. I really appreciate that so I don't miss anything or get confused. Most youtubers don't care about simple things like pronunciation and auto generated captions.

Here's a plumbers horror story, I got called because there was a huge log in the toilet. Each time you would flush the log would create a bridge and go nowhere. I had to break it in half and the flush it, it was only later that I found out a child had laid that log...

Paralegals aren't licensed to practice law or give legal advice, only attorneys can do that.
Thanks for another great upload, man! Much love!
Can you do Electrician horror stories? I've been an electrician since october 2010, I'd love to hear some horror stories
GOODMORNING 😭❤️
Another great set of stories! Thanks Joel!
Pretty sure you’ve done the last 2 stories before. But I don’t mind 😉
Was listening whilst driving last night, so couldn’t comment earlier.
Thanks again Joel and good morning buttersocks
Here's a plumbers horror story, I got called because there was a huge log in the toilet. Each time you would flush the log would create a bridge and go nowhere. I had to break it in half and the flush it, it was only later that I found out a child had laid that log...

"And remember, don't flush your life down the toilet." 🤣🤣🤣 Omgg! Soo cheesy! But that laugh you did at the end was just so cute!
i live in TX and experienced that storm firsthand. it was crazy!
Mr plumber we're into 2022 it's February in Texas and we are having record-breaking low temperatures again freezing rain and temperatures in the teens tonight at 6°, but at least they say the electric grid is better
🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏
I've seen some pretty strange and disturbing thumbnails, but that one is definitely up there.
This is why the Mario Bros. went from plumbing to rescuing Princess Peach.
Those guys suing that guy try to help them should get suit for stupidity. Every reasonable Judge would show her the door and tell her to eff off. I see why their son hated them
Too bad he didn't finish them off.
@@beccas.7762 damn 🤭 lol
The thumbnail shows exactly how my colon feels during a particularly severe episode of IBS.
What a horror coming out of the toilet on the screen 😲 I had to get out today and I got cold. Now to stay warm and relax
My husband is a plumber so I made him sit and listen to this with me
Yeyyyy, tonight’s sleep is going to be amazing😍🤣
Will you please clean my pipes, Lets Read?

A big thank you this channel which I normally listen to before bedtime each night.
I can relate to some of these stories and even give you a couple myself (over 20 years in plumbing). The Bob story was a bit moving if I’m honest.
As always a pitch perfect voice and well told short stories.
Thank you Joel for everything you do 😎
Great topic! Keep up the great work Joel!
The birthday wishes were super sweet :)
Ok...lol never thought I'd see "Plumber horror stories"! But let's go baby
❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️just can't get enough❤️❤️❤️
Most of the stories are good. People are to way to soft now though in some stories. There is nothing wrong with a good fight and i fully support that grandpa at the end.
