Not only do you have to have a good ear and be inventive, it seems you have to be a great percussionist like the top three groups are.

Also these Hang drums run around $800.00 a piece. And he's got a small bands worth of them. I'll admit. I'm kind of jealous. I've been trying to save up for one.
William Merzlak I'd love to have one too. But I'm gonna use my street musician money to save up for a semi acoustic guitar first, so that I have an instrument I can actually play to use when making music and stuff :P

Like I said... Those things are tuned so that it's damned near impossible not to do something melodious. It's a good buy if you need a drum circle trick, but impressing most people with a musical instrument is pretty easy. People don't know crap about music whether they're into Miley Cyrus or into some ultra-obscure band/rapper/dj and bitch about people who like Miley Cyrus.

The instrument is called a "Hang." I first head, saw pictures of them in 2000. I have mp3's of about 20 differently tuned instruments. But, this is the first time I've actually seen someone using them to make "music" - good on you.
I think about the office I'll be working in 2 years from now and I get so depressed when comparing it the sense of freedom created in this video. This is what humans are capable of. Beautiful.
