    I want to thank you very very much. I'm a 74-year-old woman who lives by herself in a small mother-in-law rental. My landlords a sweetheart but he is, unfortunately, inept. I fix every small thing that I can so that I don't have to rely on him because a. He panics and. b. It'll probably cost a lot of money even for small things. All it took to get my toilet to stop running was tightening the screw down a few turns.. yay yay yay ..... this makes me so happy, again thank you very much for this service to other people. And I absolutely did subscribe 😊

      I’m in my mid 60s trying to keep a roof over my head & go to RUclips for help.
      I tried to tighten the screw but it was as tight as it would go. I sat down and watched the rest of your video and saw how you bent the rod. As I was unscrewing it the water stopped running. I’m not checking it again until tomorrow but thank you so very much for this video. You gave me peace of mind and hopefully not a higher water bill. Thanks again! You’re awesom!

    • @TightWadDIY
      @TightWadDIY  3 года назад +2

      I appreciate the kind comment. The base of the toilet being loose is related to the flange and not related to your toilet constantly running. I have several videos linked in the description. You should find one there to help you fix the leak. It all depends on which type of toilet you have.

    thank you so much for this video. I had replaced that lever connected to the handle and tried to adjust the water level but it kept rising so high, that I had to keep turning off the water so it would not go over my tank. I had tightened the screw as much as possible and still the water was running way over. Your tip about the bend in the rod attached to the rubber float was was solved it for me.
    I had somehow turned the bend the opposite way so that it was hanging in a v form instead of a ^ form . thank you so much !!!
