Boy they must have had fun writing all the grunts, groans, moans, cries, and gibberish for the voice artists to record. And whether it's "branded" or not as just a way for LEGO to make more money, I like the fact that it uses the same soundtrack as the films, and the tiny little extra touches of just goofy fun they added in here and there.
Also by this they make this multilangual. No matter what language you speak it still probably means nothing but you can understand through bodylanguage

I remember some of the Harry Potter cutscenes taking forever. I'm not saying they were bad, but they were noticeably longer than the ones in previous LEGO video games that I was used too, which usually lasted less than a minute. Maybe the creators realized they needed more time to give players a better idea of what was going on in the story or they had a bigger budget for the games. Either way, the cutscenes were a reason why I liked the introduction of voice acting in later LEGO games.
THAT'S the reason? Without voice acting, the cutscenes were more concise, better paced, and weren't padded out with superfluous jokes that convey nothing about the story.
