    Nice roundup, but I’d add in the Wyrmwood Modular Gaming Table. One of the biggest kickstarters ever. I own 2 so I can speak to the quality. They also can be converted between multiple sizes to fit your needs. The accessories are compatible between the Prophecy and MGT and they are coming out with even more of them.

      Yes that one I wanted to include but I couldn't find it on that website to be able to purchase. They do say they are going to be doing another Kickstarter so I'll make sure to talk about it when they do that. For sure it's a great table and would be in the top 10 if you could purchase it right now. Wyrmwood makes great products

    Have had the Jasper Long table for about a year. I had thought it was compromised and wasn't stable, but realized I just needed to tighten the bolts (specifically corner angled bolts that I missed on my previous re-tighten runs) and the thing is rock solid (I'm a very heavy guy and can lean heavily on this thing without a concern). I mean it's genuinely an insane value and does have some compromises, but all the smart ones to keep the price low. It's downsides are completely valid for the price.
    If you want a full featured super stable and decent looking gaming table for like $1,000-$2,000 with cheap shipping (that is indeed made of solid wood for the vast majority of it) then it's genuinely impossible to beat IMHO.
    My wife and I are considering upgrading to a custom Altar Rathskellers table. We just really want to upgrade to something really nice both in quality, features, and in looks and most of the other options out there between the cost we spent on the Jasper and the cost we might spend on the Rathskellers just feel like barely an upgrade over the Jasper but you're paying a lot more for it. Though there are so many great options these days.

    I have the Jasper and have to say it's the best value for the money, especially with the options available. Not sure why you don't think it's good for RPGs, I've got the DM shelf and it's great for that.

    Perhaps my suggestion doesn't quite qualify, strictly speaking, for inclusion here, but I own a Game Toppers topper that you put on top of your existing table, or even on top of a folding table when you want to take it somewhere else. All military-grade aluminum and available with wood inserts. Lots of accessories for modularity and customizing for whatever you want to do. They also have a leg kit so you don't have to place the Topper on a table, if you choose that option. It's an excellent alternative to the dining/gaming tables, and very affordable. But it's so great to have all of these choices, depending on what you want and need.
    Thanks for the video. You showed models from a few companies that I was unaware of. Such a great variety to choose from for all-wood tables.

    I currently have the Jasper. I agree it’s a great starter table, I don’t really have any complaints. I think I’ll eventually “upgrade” to another table though.

      @@JustAGeekyDad yeah, it’s really convenient and easy to take off. Definitely worth it. I just wish I would have ordered cup holders. I got it at the start of the pandemic so it didn’t really cross my mind to get them at the time.

      @phoenixhazard 2 года назад +1

      If you like the table, why do you want to upgrade eventually? I'm in the market for one now and the Jasper seems like a great table. I don't need all the bells and whistles but i do need a well made dining table for the family.

    • @TeaLeaf91
      @TeaLeaf91 2 года назад

      @@phoenixhazard basically for the bells and whistles. It’s amazing and I don’t really have any complaints but years from now I might want a table that offers optional things for D&D.

    Another sleepe good table is the Hammered Gaming Table. It runs around 3.5k and I'd get that before everything on this except for maybe sunnygeek.
    Another table that is being hinted to maybe drop if he can find people to make it is Paladin Woodwork. With his hexagon elevator table for dungeon floors.

    Currently, they do not use the gray insert. All tables come with a neoprene mat. I feel the standard and long sizes are great for almost any board game, including table hogs from Tapestry with all the expansons to Frosthaven. (We have the standard table.) They also tend to be a bit lower than some tables, which is fantastic if you're on the shorter side!

    If I wanted an expensive table... I would be after a 72" screen with eight keyboard and mouse inputs spread around the table with one as a master with access to the whole operating system and the others only cursory for text windows, messaging, and moving a game piece linked to the app for that specified UI. The program for the main system will designate areas in front of each player for the specific players windows to open in and operate the main body of the screen where windows can be passed across or manipulated via touch screen as well as coursor but nothing can be moved into any specific player's scream area unless they pull it in on their own... (No clouding other people's screen) Dm can control programs and displays and individuals can move their game piece around the open middle.
    Dinning room top/cover... A must.
    Pull out cup holders and designated keyboard trays... Fold up dice towers with camera for displaying rolls to DM or all players.
    Secondary...
    Second screen... Each pixel is a laser all parallel aiming straight at a corisponding pixel on the tables screen. Difference in screen refresh rates of the laser display and the tables display, and color management, creates vertical imagery above table top

      If your players are interacting with your game through a pc you may as well play online. I can see the usefulness for the GM and would definitely build that into a table, but I'd rather the players were engaged face to face

    Oh man Geeknsons has such a horrible website - the thing just does not work under iOS at all as the. Navigation is broken - lord help you of you end up trying to see the cup holders and want to navigate back up to the table order page. Oh and the cookie settings page - as a US viewer that dialog was presented all in either Polish or Hungarian as far as I could tell. I gave up. Don’t buy from these guys. When your website gets too complex that it becomes a dumpster fire, it doesn’t matter what you sell. Your attention to detail is clearly lacking. To just get a baseline price with shipping of a hex table to the US got so twisted up I gave up.
