People don't know the difference between most powerful and who makes the most money. Hybe isn't running the game just making more money. If they were so powerful Yoongi wouldn't be dragged as much as he. People wouldn't be dragging them for NWJS.
1:12 In terms of just music entertainment agency, Hybe is the biggest, but when you include other industries Kakao is the biggest. Kakao's market cap is 16,21 trillion KRW and Hybe's 8,98 trillion KRW
Kakao as a whole isn't a record label though. They do all sorts of other things, like instant messages, maps, email, taxi service, banking, etcetc. They're the Google of Korea. Comparing the market cap of a company like that to the market cap of HYBE makes no sense at all. Kakao is selling off their entertainment divisions anyways because they got into too much legal trouble. SM Entertainment and Kakao Entertainment will no longer be owned by them soon.
1: HYBE being the "most powerful BIG 4 company" is an overstatement. Their US success hinges almost ENTIRELY on BTS, whose global dominance was fueled mainly by FANS and not all on HYBE’s strategy. Without BTS, their foundation looks shaky; they’ve been scrambling, pumping out new groups and buying up companies just to stay afloat. HYBE might be loud and flashy, but hype doesn’t equal strength. Real power is built on innovation, consistency, and legacy, none of which HYBE has really and truly proven they can sustain. Strip away BTS, and their so-called "dominance" crumbles, revealing a company riding on borrowed glory rather than solid ground.
Hybe is a 3yo company. It's a conglomerate so thats the point, buying other companies, its not scrambling. Each label has 1 or 2 groups and that's fine. If you compare them to bts revenue they don't look great but that's an unfair comparison. Their groups are doing ok, the company can learn and grow and build slowly over time. Legacy isn't built overnight.
Hybe never claimed to be the most powerful. This is something ppl keep babbling around like they (Hybe) stated that. They are an empire in construction and never claimed otherwise. SM, JYP and YG came first and already overcame this phase. But, what you described looks more like YG than Hybe tho 😂. YG had their glory but over the past 7-10 years lived only because of BP hype (the girls are talented but they didn't know how to properly give space to that and just forced them to do what was somehow trend and hyped them the max they could - you can see the difference now that they are doing their solo activities what they really wanted to do from the beggining).
Well no other big 3 companies can't compete either with bts. Hybe has just been in the industry for 3 yrs, and they're up for the 'most powerful company' argument already alone is showing how fast they're growing. They are always saying hybe is mass producing groups but they tend to forget that the sublabels act just like an individual company, they have their own trainees, ceo, staffs, choreographer, etc . There are no labels in hybe that has more than 3 groups
7; CBZ really hits the spot! It’s got that funky, upbeat vibe that makes you want to move, and the energy is just nonstop. The vocals are strong, and the mix of percussion, jazz keys, and brass is super fun. It’s not as anthemic as "Fighting," but it’s still a total vibe, and I can definitely see it becoming a favorite live. I love how BSS keeps things fresh with their catchy melodies, and while the humor in their music might not be for everyone, it adds to the charm. Also, I love how they had Uhm Jung Hwa, who starts off the MV, repeating exactly what she said in the 2023 MAMA awards when she announced SEVENTEEN's award. It was SO ADORABLE 😍 I also find the song the child of CHEERS TO YOUTH & FIGHTING.
Lesserafim proved all their haters wrong they are the only group along with itzy who can dance super hard dances and still serve vocals idk why people are still dragging Coachella and calling them bad singers they're definitely the 2nd all rounder group of 4th gen with itzy being first
I’d have to add Nmixx in this too I’m saying this as a fearnot if you’re talking about all rounder performers imo Nmixx is first. But most engaging performances is LSFM
3. BOYCOTT PLEASE.I'm frustrated at how forgotten this is but most importantly EVERYONE'S safety in the company except the very people who even caused/ignored/hide this incident. If LOONA fans could do it, so can we!
Honestly HYBE already has their own Big3 sublabels (Pledis, BigHit and Belift Lab) earning just as much as Big3 of Kpop so don’t need the title of Big4. And yeah HYBE is just a powerful rookie multi label but they’re not influential like SM or KAKAO. SM has the influence in Kpop to blacklist any of their ex idols even though there is a law not to do in Korea. (ex SNSD Jessica still can’t promote in Korea because of the ban even though she was kicked out of the group not really left on her own or sued SM to leave)
1) I disagree with you on this actually, HYBE it’s bigger than the actual Big3 and it’s your problem if you don’t accept it already. Let’s start by their groups and their constant comebacks and how they did in charts and sales. You have SM which only has Aespa and maybe NCT besides them they hardly are interested on their other artists. YG their priority right now is baby monster and besides the girls abilities and talent the company it’s trash with their artistic direction. Did they have successful comebacks? Maybe it’s a 50/50 situation. JYP it’s a rollercoaster because their salvation is Stray Kids and Twice. On the other hand with HYBE you have Lesserafim who despite the hate train they did amazing on charts and their comeback. New Jeans at this point doesn’t even have a word in the chat, HYBE it’s only looking for an opportunity for them to collapse and take that in advantage. BTS will always be BTS and they are coming back. Enhypen is on the rise and they outdid themselves more than ever this 2024 so who knows what it’s awaiting for them in 2025. Seventeen it’s on fire and everything points they are just going to go up and up. Illit and Boy Next Door besides being rookies they always manage to be in peoples mouth, they are still young but have an amazing future. HYBE it’s from all the Korean companies the strongest in the west, you have their first group KATSEYE that prove it something JYP couldn’t do. The Western industry its wild, its huge and cruel, no Korean company will match them but if there’s one Korean company that they allowed to sit on their table it’s HYBE.
I'd say BTS members' have all pulled off their target audiences and the subsequent numbers pretty amazingly. You cannot expect the same numbers to be pulled by all members when each of them has targeted genres almost polar opposite from each other's. Jimin and JK pull good western market numbers because their genre focus is pop whereas V and Jin pull good numbers in Japan and southeast Asia because genres like pop rock, jazz, soul thrive in these specific markets (not saying they haven't pulled respectable numbers in most markets but rather which audience/market they each dominated). Personally chart-wise and popularity wise rapline have dominated my home country. They have each earned close to perfect numbers, success, recognition and new audiences according to their genre preference AND have had logical promotional strategies, schedules and appearances accordingly. As you've said that most of them did this during military service, and that makes these feats even more impressive.
Bts isn't as big solo wise, no hate but I'm disappointed I thought the would catch the market better, I expected that from all members Jungkook never fails to impress.
@@Pinkpaste_rbx not all can be big all make diverse music and bcz of it their targeted audience is also diff and it is not something to be dissapponted about not all can pull the same no. And all especially hyungline did so much better in terms of contributions in making their song and they charted pretty well too you haven't read properly on what op said I guess 💀
@@Pinkpaste_rbxAgain, do your research, all of the members pulled crazy numbers especially considering the genres they pursued and Jimin is actually the one with the most actual solo achievements, not just collabs. Forbes literally called him the most successful k soloist and listed him higher than JK, because of the profit he pulled with less amount of investment, he's out here going toe to toe with JK in terms of everything, all on his own. JK does mainstream pop, while Jimin is more pop rnb, and both of them are global Popstars. Suga is the most successful k-rapper, man did an entire sold out tour all by himself, RM had the most critically acclaimed album of last year, V and Jin both did amazing number, for rnb, jazz, pop rock genres, they have the highest numbers. Jhope was the first k-act to headline a major music festival, with an audience of 100k, he's also going on a tour, and you can bet it'll be sold out, because he's the Jhope from the BTS.
for the first opinion i think they meant for kpop in the us…not in the us market in general. hybe def has the most influence in the west compared to the others REGARDING KPOP

1. I think you misunderstood "HYBE is the most powerful big 4 company". No one was talking about big 3 in the US. This is not HYBE is the biggest company in the west, it means that they are the biggest k-pop company in the west and that is true just looking at numbers. If we talking in Korea they are still the biggest by numbers but they don't have influence in media. That's why I always say that there is no such thing like BIG 4, it's BIG 3. Because of that it always amusing to read comments like "HYBE's media play" etc. B**ch what media play? They don't have any power in media.
I swear the way Korean media hate hybe cuz hybe don't use them so they have zero profit regarding hybe groups. Hybe have weverse, they don't really care to be invited or not on popular Korean tv shows since they can do it themselves etc. It's really is funny when kpop fans pull the "hybe media play" card when all k media always find a way to dismiss/target Hybe groups
2: GFRIEND's performance was ABSOLUTELY EMOTIONAL but INSANELY FRESHING. It's been quite long since I've seen them perform together as a collective group in an award show. ENHYPEN & (G)I-DLE were one of my top favourite performances and also SEVENTEEN as well. They were just 😩🤌✨👑
5. The AUDACITY....what an efficient way to get to overshadow all the controversy and move on. Its sad, cuz this will actually work in the company's favour. People will forget about what happened in NO time.
@@Jess1013 They have had issues with album restocking. It's either overstocked or understocked or they get delayed. Mistreatment of few artists (yk). This is only a few, there's a lot of shady stuff they've done
I 100% agree. The lack of radio support is partly understandable, because a lot of radio stations (especially in the US) actively push back on playing BTS members' music. The radio stations refuse to play them even though their music is requested a lot. Jungkook was able to get more radio play because of his collabs with artists with established relationships with the radio stations. I'm sure that Bighit could do more though. However, the lack of playlisting, restocks and delays are infuriating. Everything in the industry is about connections, but if Bighit does not get it together at least for BTS' comeback then I will really be angry.
For the first opinion, I think what your subscriber meant was HYBE is bigger compared to the other big 3 especially in the us market. Compare it between the big 4 companies in the US market not to include the Sony universal music usa or whatever that ofcourse you cant compare with HYBE, they are so new.
You do not have to clarify that you aren't a hybe stan but i think it was for your sake or bunnies and sm stans would attack you 😂 but i mean hybe has is the only k-company that has achieved a bit of success in the US but it is only 3 years old and i think it can grow more
2: AESPA lip-syncing didn’t surprise me, but it still kinda pissed me off. Like, they were literally the biggest girl group of 2024, on top of everything, getting all the attention. You’d expect them to be delivering live performances, especially when they’ve got the talent. But nah, it’s like SM or whoever made the call decided to go the easy route with pre-recorded vocals. It feels like they’re just relying on the hype instead of showing us what they’re actually capable of. Makes you wonder if the company’s more focused on image than actually letting the girls shine 🤦♀️
6. Lol those obsessed parasocial weirdos r one of the reasons kpop is kpop and why this industry generates money. Companies would rather not take the risk to anger those type of fans than take care of the idols' private lifes. Prime example of that is SM wuth the Seunghan case. Like wtf did he even do?? Yet SM chose to satisfy the angered "wifes" of the fandom than actually protecting their own idol. Ugghhhhh its so frustrating to say the least

Hybe don't own bts yes they bts signed with Hybe for 10 more years but bts have full control on their solos and they each brought their own personal songs and sounds jungkook, suga, namjoon, jin, Jhope, taehyung, Jimin are grown men they now what they were doing some fans need to back off a little and let them work and some are still in the military proud of bts as solos and group see army's this year for bts comeback 💜
Hey, did you get my message on Nirvana? I said i couldn't care less about what he did. I'm only here for entertainment and read unhinged K-pop stan comments.
3: I think the thing is, fans often forget that just because someone’s in BTS doesn’t mean every solo project has to be this global, chart-topping phenomenon. It’s kinda frustrating because fans demand that every member’s solo work follow the same trajectory, but they’re not seeing the full picture. Not every artist wants to follow the same formula that worked for the group as a whole. Solo projects, by nature, are supposed to be a reflection of individuality, not just mass-market appeal. It’s so annoying when fans push for every project to blow up internationally; sometimes it feels like they care more about numbers and records than actually appreciating the art or growth of the members. Let them experiment, let them fail or succeed on their own terms. It's not all about the global charts.
EXACTLY! Some solo Projects just aren't "meant" to blow up, because it wasn't catered for a global audience. Some artists just want to grow and express themselves artistically and create something for a smaller but more loyal "niche" that understands the artistry behind it, which is absolutely okay, and has nothing to do with the label "failing" Promotions. Each artists decides how to promote themselves individually.
Let's be real. Army are more obsessed with looks rather than music and BTS's individual projects. Jk, V and Jimin are the favs of the group (V is my bias mostly because of his looks and fancams) so they get the streams. The others don't. J-Hope released the best solo projects of them all, still he is put in the maknaes's shadows. Let's not start with Jin and Rm for whom no one cares. V has a massive success with his album but you can't tell me that jazz is one of these genres everyone likes especially when they are young. I understand why Jimin and Jk are so popular (POP) but favouritism plays a huge role.
👏👏👏👏Thank you. Your comments are spot on. It would be sus if BTS’ solos all blow up regardless of genre and artist, suggesting mass buying/streaming by fans for the sole purpose of numbers and charts. This fan behavior is going on but biases are evident from the various level of music consumption. JK is surpassing all members by a megastar mile. Understandable right? POP is more accessible compared to RAP or JAZZ or even K-POP , especially when sung in English, and is composed, produced by western musicians. Would be interesting to see how popular BTS future solo music will be with fans.
4: Are we really just pretending like nothing happened?!? The audacity to move on like everything’s fine IS SO infuriating! Gaeun and the rest of the members are stuck in a mess they didn’t create, and it's beyond frustrating to watch. Anyone still planning to support them needs to seriously rethink that. How can you enjoy any of this, knowing the kind of shitshow going on behind the scenes? It’s disgusting that the company is trying to sweep everything under the rug as if nothing’s wrong. We need to make MORE serious noises, or this whole thing will be just another example of how quickly the industry forgets stuff like this ever happened in history.
Okay. So, I have to rant about a short I watched because... It's just so annoying. I clicked on a video with a title like "Is This An Answer to Prayers" or something. In it, the person was saying something about fans telling Seunghan to post if he was rejoining RIIZE. (I didn't mean that they were directly telling him to say that he was rejoining RIIZE.) Apparently, he did. Has no one ever heard of a coincidence before? These people are just getting their hopes up for nothing. And I think it's irresponsible for people on RUclips to be talking about this.
Giving Madein a comeback and on the other hand blocking people on Twitter who speak about Gaeun is so ridiculous. 143 Entertainment are so immature und unprofessional and it clearly shows that the only thing they are good in is harassing women.
It’s the trend to hate on Hybe and BTS. They’re used to it and have always succeeded despite this hate. And let’s face it, k-pop award shows are boring and mediocre without the energy of BTS. (One exception: BigBang).
That's your opinion but I disagree, the performances are great but interactions and humor will be great cos it's like most idols avoid eye contact or actually enjoy each other's stages, just a few let go and enjoy themselves. But then again all this is due to fans taking everything too far causing scandal when there's none
And it's a trend of hybe fans to make everything about themsleves😂😂😂 I can't believe hybe fans actually exist lmaoooo but these days mental illness is also quite common so.....
Umm, Jimin has the best selling songs for both 2023 and 2024 in the US, with LC and Who, he's literally toe to toe with JK in everything, all by himself. Do your actual research.

@@Pinkpaste_rbx Do you even understand what Payola is, it's paid for play radio, check out Jimin's radioplays, it's non-existent, LC was not even sent to the radio by Bighit despite their being massive demand for it. JK however does have radioplays, very less comparing to other mainstream artists and even the BP girlies who actually have Payola and paid promotions on every platform but he still has far better radio play than Jimin and that's because of his collaboration with artists like Jack Harlow, Latto, Usher, Justin Timberlake, DJ Snake, Shawn Mendes, Major Lazor, Ed Sheeran, Charlie Puth. Jimin has massive sales and premium streams, which makes sense because he has the biggest and the most organised solo fandom who are willing to actually buy and stream his music.
Aespa has an amazing music but their stages suck so bad. I just stopped watching them and just listen to their stuff. Their producers are just on another level
Boycotting is the stupidest thing I have ever heard. How exactly a company is gonna change when they lose a cash cow. They will just find the next and if they are part of the Big 3 and HYBE who is not a part of the big 3, they will replace that group with another under the spotlight. The only thing you do when you boycott a group (Riize for example) is ruining the members's life, dedication, happiness, motivation, you help them not to get money and probably be thrown away
We’re not inherently trying to get them to change their ways with the boycott. Asking an entire company system to change? That’s unrealistic. Our bottom line with the boycotting of Madein is to get the company into bankruptcy so that the group can disband and the members can get out of there. It’s the same thing with the boycotting of LOONA. It’s not to get the company to stop their ways, it’s to get them to abandon the groups we’re boycotting. You don’t even want to try to understand what we’re trying to do. Also, MADEIN’s company is a small label, so it’s definitely much easier than anything that the RIIZE boycott is.
Sorry but y’all are the literal problem why boycotting doesn’t work out. Money is everything for a company and seunghan debuting solo is the biggest example for this. They want international fans to buy riize albums again and stfu. Do y’all think he will be successful? Ofc i want him to be but that is not realistic at all. Koreans will boycott him again and he will go back to SM dungeon. Loona boycott did work out and all girls are still living their idol dream so I don’t see your point. You want another riize member to forcefully kick out bc of something stupid again and everybody will continue their life like nothing happened and buy albums bc other members can’t live their dream? They will live with a fear that they could be the next victim of this heartless people and careless companies so sorry but I can’t and won’t agree to any anti boycott comment ever.
You want to quote where & when Hybe ever claimed to be the most powerful in kpop or in the world? You are merely repeating other's online made up stories. Hybe never claimed that. If you have evidence, put the link here.
HYBE never claimed that yes but if you used your brain and read the tile of the video you would see this video is about responding to SUBSCRIBERS opinions . please THINK. 🤦♀
lmao Coachella is known globally but what even is this Golden Disc Award? Just another bullshit award thing the Kpop industry come up with to pat themselves in the back? They have so many it’s so laughable 😂
What even is this take? The point of an award show, K-pop or not, is to showcase the most important songs or projects or artists of that year. So yes.. Korea is gonna have their own award shows and congratulate the K-pop/K-pop adjacent acts. Also, Coachella isn’t even an award show.. why bring that up? Not to mention that the international awards shows based in America are also patting themselves on the back. If you’d notice.. only western acts make it to the top.. mostly white people make it to the top. Why do you think they shove most black western artists in the Rap and R&B sections whether they’re part of that genre or not? To keep who they want on top. So if you’re gonna call out ‘self service’ of a South Korean award show then better call out the other award shows as well, unless you’d rather enjoy being a hypocrite.

ILLIT had to repeat their performance in the GDA. They also did remixes of their songs.
SM is the OG so change will be a bit slower than the rest.
5:00 That poor girl, please to who ever let that girl be happy and heal for what she went through
Lesserafim proved all their haters wrong they are the only group along with itzy who can dance super hard dances and still serve vocals idk why people are still dragging Coachella and calling them bad singers they're definitely the 2nd all rounder group of 4th gen with itzy being first
Can’t agree more
Damn kpop fell off hard ig if they are the 2nd most all rounded group of their gen💔
I’d have to add Nmixx in this too I’m saying this as a fearnot if you’re talking about all rounder performers imo Nmixx is first. But most engaging performances is LSFM
They have one good performance and then you ask where are the haters now? Lol don't worry we have gone nowhere we still here😂😂😂
The Western industry its wild, its huge and cruel, no Korean company will match them but if there’s one Korean company that they allowed to sit on their table it’s HYBE.
agreed! from a global standpoint hybe is bigger than big3 in the western market
Fr .
This Kpoopies' forced hate on Hybe is real😂
Agree!
Call one trash and praise another, the bias is obvious.
@ ??? Well you seemed to be the one bias cause all I said it’s YG isn’t doing Justice to baby monster potential, I respectfully give my opinion 💁🏻♀️
@@Pinkpaste_rbx you missed the point and what op said
@@Pinkpaste_rbxAgain, do your research, all of the members pulled crazy numbers especially considering the genres they pursued and Jimin is actually the one with the most actual solo achievements, not just collabs.
@@Pinkpaste_rbxSolo stans of Payolakook never fail to amaze me with their ridiculous and biased opinions 😂

It's really is funny when kpop fans pull the "hybe media play" card when all k media always find a way to dismiss/target Hybe groups
there is no "big 3" in the US, so idek how there was such a big misunderstanding
Yeah totally agree

2: GFRIEND's performance was ABSOLUTELY EMOTIONAL but INSANELY FRESHING. It's been quite long since I've seen them perform together as a collective group in an award show. ENHYPEN & (G)I-DLE were one of my top favourite performances and also SEVENTEEN as well. They were just 😩🤌✨👑
5. The AUDACITY....what an efficient way to get to overshadow all the controversy and move on. Its sad, cuz this will actually work in the company's favour. People will forget about what happened in NO time.
Bighit needs to step up their game though. There's always stuff getting delayed or something else is going on 🙄
Stepping up with what exactly?
Yeah they are only 3 years old but have achieved a lot in the us market compared to the big 3

Yet SM chose to satisfy the angered "wifes" of the fandom than actually protecting their own idol. Ugghhhhh its so frustrating to say the least

6: BSS are my 3rd favourite unit out of SEVENTEEN's units; my 1st favourite is the vocal unit, followed by the performance unit.

Boycotting is the stupidest thing I have ever heard. How exactly a company is gonna change when they lose a cash cow. They will just find the next and if they are part of the Big 3 and HYBE who is not a part of the big 3, they will replace that group with another under the spotlight. The only thing you do when you boycott a group (Riize for example) is ruining the members's life, dedication, happiness, motivation, you help them not to get money and probably be thrown away
thank you finally someone smart
Yeah the same happened for fifty fifty ( the new one) people kept boycotting them and it only affected the girls hardwork and efforts

She's literally reacting to her subscribers comments! It's not her personal view.
lmao Coachella is known globally but what even is this Golden Disc Award?
