Alcohol destroys families like none other. Did anyone notice how sad and moved she was when she said "they are a family and will always be one"? You can love someone and still decide to leave them, for the sake of your own mental and physical health. People should really cut the crap on talking sh&t about Angie, she did what she had to do to protect her family and in a family that is never an easy decision.

Vault Dweller Angelina is OK and she’s far better as a mother of 5 to 6 children then she was back when she and Brad did “Mr. and Mrs. Smith”. Intothousand five she was known as the seductress and the woman that many Hollywood wives didn’t want near their husbands. She still had a bit of a wild child Revelyn her and she had Maddox at that point, & after getting Maddox she adopted another girl and that developed her more into a mother. She and Brad were only married for two years and it doesn’t surprise me. Angelina doesn’t stay with anyone too long and they wouldn’t have been together longer except that they weren’t married.
It is vicious to falsely accuse your ex of abuse, plant negative stories, run a smear campaign, coerce him to take the blame, and then still drag out the divorce while pretending to be saint. She is a sociopath and addict herself and plenty of people in HW know she is a nightmare behind closed doors.

My hubby lived at the Pontalba and worked in New Orleans for 35 years, as a marine longshoreman, and was still there in 2005 during and post- Katrina. Film shoots have always brought huge monies to The Easy, and Brad Pitt was involved often, with that. Also, his building homes for the Ninth Ward got folks back into the nabe, and safely into new housing. He did HUGE stuff for New Orleans. Brotha Brad be praised and blest for it! As far as his marital troubles, should be no concern of anyone's. I wish him sober, and clean and happy. Angie as well. The rest, just ain't my beeswax...

I just think that Angelia is such a fair-weather friend. When she suffered anxiety and depression, Brad stayed by her side and helped her get through it. Now that Brad suffered drinking issue, she filed a divorce.
Yes & she knew that Brad drink a lot after being with him from 2005 until 2014 when she married him. She left him and file for divorce the end of 2016 after two years of marriage. She is Fairweather because she’s airily Angie. She’s not an emotional person and none of her relationships have lasted long. Let her be with the kids and Brad to have his visitation and be a dad. Angelina is far better off staying away from then and now that she has six kids, she will be too busy trying to lure another woman’s husband away. Not only that but she’ll stay single and hopefully Bradden can meet someone with whom he is more compatible and someone who is genuine. Brad may have a drank-and done a lot of things but at least he’s genuine. Jennifer Aniston and Brad Pitt were two of the most real people in Hollywood and it’s good their friends. His best bet if he wants a relationship in the future is to get with someone who’s not Hollywood made.

Brad is very candid.about. his family situation. I get that he's a very kind man but having six children is a very difficult task which would require a lot of structured help. I was a divorced mom with a child and swore I would never again have children in this country. In other countries friends and neighbors help you more with the children. I felt overwhelmed with the responsibility and cannot imagine how it would be with a large family and full time work.
It's so sad, especially for the kids, but we need to hear both side of the story.

They always seemed like a strong and happy couple and I'm sure they were in the beginning. They have acting skills beyond the screen and did a good job of hiding there marital issues later on.

slipknot00010 I hope and pray he doesn’t leave acting. He’s been in some incredible movies and he is still worth more than Angelina. When I saw the River runs through it and legends of the fall, I couldn’t quit watching those movies and I kept watching them again until I cried over and over.
It's funny how haters would always pin all the faults on Angie when Brad has been doing the same thing at the time when his marriage with Jen has failed--which is worst since during those times he has done both drugs and alcohol. He has admitted to these during interviews. Angie has came into his life during those moments helping renewing his outlook in life, thus they have fallen in love and have gotten married...Angie has actually agreed on having biological kids with him only out of love for him, although she has always thought to adopt is always her best options since there are too many orphans around the world...Now, after the health scare Angie is having and with all the stress they are encountering as a family, he is back into doing the same thing drinking (hopefully no drugs) as he has mentioned. With Angie's filing for divorce, I bet it has awaken his senses...I think it is just a matter of him not being able to cope up with life problems, but he sure has been shaken out of it...it's great to see him stepping up trying to work on himself to being the best he can be...Angie has stepped up in resolving their problems instead of indulging into self-destructions, it is such a courageous move for her to do so in order to stop the cycle of history repeating itself... "Stop the Hate" ...Angie has changed to a totally different person--a transformed compassionate person through her life experiences--it is as real as she can get... but, these people are still clinging unto her past thrashing/pushing her down...the Brangelina and Jen Saga is old news... and, yet some people are still saying Brad is better off with Jen... Lol!!...his marriage with Jen has lasted 5 years...Brangelina has been together for 12 years....just look at the numbers and you'll know... and, yet...there are still a lot of love between them despite their divorce... Angelina is different and has a mystery about her. Brad was lured in and I know he fell hard in love with her but she was the one with all the power in her hands. She made the rules and he followed. I wish only the best for Brad, he looks shaken to the core over the breakup
Diane Nolan I TOTALLY AGREE with you. She’s just as controlling with making all the rules when it comes to him seeing the kids and not seeing the kids. I don’t think she’s as nice as some people says. She might be nice to the camera into her children but she’s had a long-standing poor relationship with her father. Her marriage to Brad was like every other marriage she has had it only lasted one or two years. She and Brad got together in 2005 when he was married to Jennifer, But only married for two years. Angelina knew how much she drank in 2014 & that was her major complaint then why did she marry him after nine years?

People need to stop judging angie on her past the jen situation was years ago how many of us are the same person we were years ago? Brad & Angelina were a couple for a long time and I’m wondering if they would’ve married sooner rather than living together, if they would’ve been divorced earlier. I think they would’ve. A couple in a relationship has two people in it. It does not work for only one person to decide to work on themselves, and then, look for reconciliation without the second partner working on themselves. We are often with certain people in our lives to learn more about ourselves.
We all carry our own "stuff". We are often drawn to those that show us our "flaws". The behaviors that keep us from growing as a person are often mirrored back by our partners. We can make it an ugly experience, or learn and grow from the experience. We are players in our own game, until we decide to step outside of it, and, decide on a different route of self growth.
No one is exclusively wrong or right. But if one person works on themselves and changes, dynamics between the couple also changes. The initial attraction is usually no longer there.

I think Brad‘s sharing is helping lots of alcoholics come to terms with their addictions. I also think by being “humble”, he is trying to preserve his public image.
Alcoholic recovery is about being honest and not hiding out inside your drinking or other escapism; hopefully it is about letting go of grandiosity. There was still a bit of grandiosity in the statement "I could drink any Russian under the table." But he is still in process, I try not to judge him.

Textbook BPD/codependent relationship end. BPDs are extraordinarily challenging to treat, but codependents respond exceptionally well to therapy, though it can take considerable time. If this analysis is accurate on my part, he needs to stay far away from her. Based on this story, it sounds like he's on the right path. Lots more I could add, but not within the strictures of a RUclips comment. They'll both survive, but he has a much more promising opportunity to achieve a healthier life balance; a goal most of us do the best we can to move toward.

He hit/attacked his own kid and it was bad enough that he got supervised visits with his other children for a while. His oldest kids don't even talk to him anymore.
Seemed like Angelina did the right thing and protected her children.
