Maybe a big reason to give up on the structure is the insulation. It looks to me like those are 5.25" fiberglass batts. I see daffodils blooming, but the trees are bare. There is a basement, so the ground must freeze to a fair depth. This must be early spring, probably in zone 5. That insulation is minimal and there was no practical way to add to it.
Can I presume that this is the same rig setup as from your 2016 Caterpillar 420F2 IT Backhoe with PSM Tilt Coupler - Walkaround & Cat 420F2 Clearing Trees with a Ripper Tooth and PSM Tilt Coupler videos? We will certainly need those attachments for clearing the land before we can start the drive and digging the basement.

Hi Gene! Thanks for the comments! My brother owns the heavy equipment. He has not owned a Case 580SM but has owned a Case skid steer and a Deere dozer. He prefers Cat products because they seem to be heavier duty and better engineered. Of course they are more expensive also....
I have seen this show. I noticed the home owners put up allot of money for reservations and at the end they did a little. Where did they spend the money! The lady host is a con artist! I stopped watching it because the results are not up to what the owners have given them to pay for the reservation. This show is awful!! I always feel bad for the owners
