It was a rainy day, but Kiyomasa and Annie were happily playing outside.
Shabani, who had not been able to play with Kiyomasa for about five days, was very happy to be able to play with him for the first time in a while.
When I saw Annie stop Shabani and Kiyomasa when they were playing hard, I felt she was like her mother Ai.
Shabani and Kiyomasa, playing for the first time in a long time, kept playing for about an hour.
Kiyomasa, tired of playing, went back indoors, but Annie, who had not been able to play much, stayed behind by herself, looking a little sad.

I have never seen Annie telling her father to back off her brother. It's kind of cute the way she is looking out for Kiyomasa.

Shabani is a cool guy. Other gorillas are also very cool. These games are educational in nature. Gorillas learn to communicate by playing with each other. This is an important part of their socialization. And it improves their mood.

It's cute because Annie is getting older and scolding her father for bugging Kiyo. She's learning the female gorilla's role 😅.
Sometimes, it seems like Kiyo is trying to give Annie some love (maybe he's getting to that age?). But, since they are siblings, Annie shuts it down quick and keeps it playful. I wonder if I'm reading more into this than I should? Or, perhaps Shabani senses this as well and keeps them apart on purpose?
For me personally, I think the same thing. Kiyo is almost always showering Annie with affection. He sometimes does this thing where he will observe Annie's face and seems to want to make eye contact with her. He loves to hold her, hug her, caress her and protect her. (Unless it's Nene. If he sees Annie bothering or teasing her, most times he'll go after Annie.) I never thought that about Annie till now regarding her possibly shutting his affection down by using play as her response. I've seen her reciprocate love but she almost always makes it playful when he gets super affectionate. To me Kiyo is incredibly rare in regards to his affectionate side. Aside from Shabani, which I'm sure has slightly molded Kiyo into being quite mushy and very expressive. I swear, sometimes I'm almost convinced Shabani is an actual human man in a silverbacks body. I've never seen a silverback like him. Which is why I'm SO happy to see Kiyo taking in a lot of his fathers qualities while also having his own individuality.

Wonder if Annie is on birth control or is she old enough to get pregnant??? Just in case kiyo might get a little excited one day 😂😂

@@pigtailsandteddybears I agree, there is something extraordinary about this troop. I watch other troops, but none seem to have this type of close knit bond. AI, is a bit stand-offish, but she has her moments with Nene (and Annie occasionally) as well.

@@obappooblada8202, not troubling at all as he isn’t trying to mate with her . He was her mother and father at the same time, defending her, grooming her since her birth. Watch the Annie story for to understand why he is so attached to her.
