    To remove mirror back cover, you need remove the mirror it self and then push these clips by pick or something and mirror cover is in your hands without any problems :)

    what about a video ceramic coating your car?
    or what should we use for the black trim to bring it back to life

      Not a bad shout that mate. I need to get some polishing equipment before thinking about ceramic coating it though!

      @@GeorgeAusters would be great ... i changed my e 90 same colour as yours for an f30 black ... and it.s a pain in my ass to keep it clean ... that's the only thing i regret (the colour)

    George, nice job, BUT , it may peel due to not dusting the bare sanded plastic with PLASTIC primer prior to the grey primer. Just a tip for when you do other side lad .

      @GeorgeAusters  3 года назад

      No issues with peeling so far👍🏻

    • @GeorgeAusters
      @GeorgeAusters  3 года назад

      I believe that primer is for plastic and metal

    Did you buff up the whole thing with fine grit and diamond paste?
    Nicely done....
    I’m same as you - perfectionist but not professional !!! And I always get a very slight orange peel.... bloody paint !!!

      @GeorgeAusters  3 года назад +1

      I didn’t but it did get polished when my car was detailed👍🏻

    Shouid the paint coats be sanded before applying another, of should the paint layers just be applied on top of one another 'from the can'? Many thanks!

    • @Adistar-gtm
      @Adistar-gtm 9 месяцев назад +1

      If you fine sand the paint between layers after you allow it to dry you'll get rid of the orange peel... After the final 3000 sanding apply the clear coat/lacquer.

      @@williamevans9426 you're welcome. Remember the more time you spend prepping the surface then the primer then the sanding of the layers the better mirror finish you'll achieve. You can even go to 5000grit for the final layer before clear coat. But for mirrors I don't think it's worth it. For a hood or other big plane panels, absolutely.
