Love your new system! I went back to a Happy Planner Dashboard layout because I didn't have the time to do a bullet journal setup every week with school and it allows me to have school and home stuff all in one spot with minimal adjustments.
Pretty cover despite the drawbacks. The patch is an easy fix if it's actually stitched on. Just use a seam ripper or straight pin to carefully pull out the stitches. You can save the patch and move it to the back or inside.
If you restring the closure patch so that the majority of the string is on the inside of the patch ( the opposite of how it’s stringed now) you can use the string on the inside to put your pen. As it’s strung now, the pen is supposed to go on the outside of the patch in the string. I realize this doesn’t translate well but the patch closure is the pen holder. If you reverse the string, you can use it the way you want.
I have the same weekly PP and it’s for my memory journal! You know I LOVE my PP dailies because it’s so customizable. The SOIP gives tons of writing room! I look forward to seeing how you use your new set up.
Day designer A5 binder is one of my favorite binders! But also, Sojourner is doing ring covers. I haven’t checked it out yet, but if you want a better option, there are lots out there.
You’ve got this! I’m excited for you! I’m using my daily as a weekly. And if I need more notes space, I used the dot grid that passion planner has for free and I use it as a tip in. Duke says “Hi”! 😊
for the floppiness, you could order some plastic page lifters. cloth and paper may have some. i ordered from them a while back but haven't been in a rings planner for a couple years. you can also get folders and pockets for a 6ring planner there too.
Ooh, I am actually intrigued by the floppiness -- can you fold the cover all the way back and behind so you can just have one page-width taking up space on the desk? (Like you can with a spiral-bound planner?) I'm using a Filofax Clipbook right now so I can fold it over, but it would be good to know if there are other options!
The color of the cover is great, but what company would put a huge patch like that on the front? I am not familiar with the brand so maybe that's their thing, but it seems odd. It wouldn't inspire me to open it. Just my opinion. I do like your idea of finding a different patch to cover it because it is beautiful under the patch. :)
It is odd and I'm not terribly familiar with the brand either, I just loved the tweed! It'd be just like me to go ahead and chop off a status symbol of a tag unknowingly though 😅
Print and cut! Which was hell because my paper trimmer is broken so I did it with scissors 🫠 I love it too but I really need it to not be floppy and pocketless!

Excited for you, can't wait to see you achieve your dreams! 🧡
Thank you, my sweet friend! 🧡😘

I just bought one of those Harris Tweed planner in a different color. I love it!
The color options are all so beautiful!

I love that! The daily as a weekly works great and isn't overwhelming!! Aww Hi Duke!!! 🧡

Thank you for the info, I'll definitely check it out!
I still HP for my writing and planning because I can customize it.
And then I bet there are pocket inserts too!
There are but they're just plastic ones. I was really hoping for cloth ones to match the cover. Ah well, such is planner life 😄
Love this planner cover...I'm sorry it's so floppy though! Definitely screams "Alana" all over it!
Thanks, Jess!! It is absolutely me!! 🧡

Very nearly! The rings make it so it can't quite go all the way but yes, it can be folded back.

What type of paper did you print your pages on?
32lb HP premium brightness
Did you print on A5 sized paper or print and cut to size?
I know you're struggling with this, but I do kiiiiiinda love it...

I love it too but I really need it to not be floppy and pocketless!
