Hey @SPN Firearms just heads up on G26’s gen 3, gen4, and gen 5 all use duel recoil spring the g19/g17 (and others) went from single spring to dual/double recoil spring that caused issue. The G26 just had grip frame texture change and mag release, all G26’s are pretty much same and reliable. I’ve had them all, g26 was my 1st purchase at 21 and had all Gens, they have been great. Love the vids. Keep up good work just wanted to share that info since a tad older/lived thru those years.
3, 4, & 5 are solid options imo... like you note, the G3's are most likely the one to have if you only have one, simply because of the volume of parts by Glock and the massive aftermarket and clones. MOS would be nice, but for a point and shoot tool...not a must have... For the G5's there is no excuse by Glock for not adding a Pic slot...crappy customer consideration. Lights are an important option for consideration. Aftermarket triggers and sights are easy to find and at reasonable prices... the G5 Glock trigger is very nice as a factory produced item. Apex rocks on all gens.
Great video. I always preferred the gen 3 stock trigger over gen 5 stock trigger. Gen 3 harder wall, no creep (movement) before break. The gen 5 softer wall some creep before break. The gen 3 also has a strong tactile reset.
Have Gen 3, 4, and 5 and never had a problem with any of them. I actually run 19X slide on Gen 4 19 frame and it runs flawless. However you can't go 4 up to 5 unless you mod the backplate and ambi slide release.
You’ll need to shorten the legs on the trigger housing for it to fit. Use the Gen 3 housing as a guide. You’ll also need a Gen5 back plate. They’re cheap.other than that I don’t know why it wouldn’t work. Keep’em coming sir.
Thanks for the comparison, I personally chose a Gen 5 due to the fact it was only $40 more and if it’s good enough for the FBI then it’s more than good enough for me 👍🏻 The Gen 3s look nice and I’d like to add one to my collection.
The differences seems small, and they kind of are, but was surprised how much more I prefer the Gen 5. Actually, the only thing I miss from the Gen 3 is the single sided slide stop. I still have Gen 3’s though and do like them. Now on the lookout for a decent deal on some Gen 2’s, lol.
I’m in La County California and we’re restricted on what we can carry CCW wise. I want to add a G26 to my roster (3) to add to my G33 & G19, so I’m. hoping by next January when I re certify that I can run a gen 5, until then I’m pretty ok with my gen 3 stuff, as long as it’s a Glock I know it’ll run when I need it to, love your content
@@dridex223I did as well. Was getting ready to send it back, but put 200 more rounds through it and now has 600 through with no problems. It is the only Glock I have that had even the slightest problem and the only one I have made in the U.S.
Why does it matter? They were half off and feel great? It’s a carry gun, it gets beat up anyways so what does it matter? You guys are too into making firearms pretty when they are tools used for self defense. When the grips wear down in a year I’ll replace them. I literally have 2replacements sitting on my safe right now but why waste perfectly good grips? My carry guns are tools.
@@spnfirearms and i don’t make guns pretty lmao. I have an old Taurus , Glock, And a few other. None are “pretty” . Just seems like you can’t take criticism without being a baby lol
I have a Gen 5 27 and I love it. 🔥
Gen3 for the trigger. Gen5 for everything else.

Have a good one
SPN you never run out of video ideas, LETS GOOO!
You're always leaving out my favorite, the Glock 36
Holy smokes there's two of us!
@@shane515yahoomake it three!

I’ve owned many Glocks over the years, but just picked up my first 26 Gen 3. Must’ve been all the subliminal G26 advertising on this channel 😂
For real, I just bought mine today too. GEN 3 too

Gen 3 is thinner than the get 5 in 40 cal.
It probably has less recoil then Gen 3
Gen 4 27 love it
Gen 5 G30 for me. I also have a Gen 4 G21 and a Gen 3 G30.. Gen 5 is my personal favorite

The differences are mainly internal, but from Gen 3 to Gen 5 there 35 total changes/upgrades.

im having feeding issue with the gen 5 26, may be worth getting a gen 3 if you’re not getting an optic.
Move to Florida bro your saving money plus you can have all the guns you want

@@BRLaue did you use 124s or 115s?
@ Both, plus I have a grab bag of 9mm that includes some reloads. After the breakin period it ate everything. But I’m sticking with Gen 3 from now on.
I have a Gen 8 Glock 187, y'all don't worry it hasn't changed much at all from the Gen 1 17.
Tenifer was the best finish on the market but got banned due to environmental bullshit,
U should get a soft pad to put on the table for when your picking those guns up and down..Glock sells them..cheap .
Gen 4 was their best model
I need a gen 6
Do you live in mn too.? I’m up north in Park rapids
Is the gen5 barrel as long as the G29 barrel?
Gen 3 seems to be more reliable imo.
Which Gen's can be turned into a 26 or a 33 by changing barrels and magazines?
Gen 3 G17, Gen 4 & Gen 5 everything else
Where can I get that blue grip tape from
Hey bro, how do you like the milspin magazine plate? Looking to grab a couple also. Thanks!
Bru I want Glock 30 or 29 or 27

Yes they are tools and you have way too many. Do a giveaway already. I'll even take the one with blue tape 😅
