I just listened to Anne’s memoir, and though she clearly suffered from horrific sexual abuse as a child and I have compassion for her, I still think it’s awfully coincidental that she met and “fell in love with” Ellen literally overnight, the week before Ellen’s coming-out show was to be broadcast.
I met Anne Heche once -- totally random and nothing to do with Hollywood or her life as an actress. She seemed a lovely lovely person. So sad for her and her boys. RIP.

You don’t know how important it was for us young gay kids to hear her speak so casually about same-sex home ownership.
