Its kinda hard for me to watch this because i went to high school school with Jabril. We was at SouthWest Dekalb. He was in the magnet program because he was smart as shit. He was a dope dude. Alot of people dont know he started alot of the gangster shit at Albany St. Alot of people from SWD went down there in 2003. I had a girlfriend there and i remember she used to tell these wild stories about Jabril running shit lol. Once he came back home we would see each other and speak.
Even after he became Mazi he was always Jabril to me. I remember when he got shot we had a conversation where i asked him why he wouldn't just leave Atlanta. His response was, "Nighaz cant run me out my city". The last time i saw him we was in Lenox mall, he had a birthday coming up and they was gonna be partying at some club. I remember saying i might come through and he pulled me to the side and said he didn't want people to see me with him. That he had so many beefs that he didn't want me to accidentally get involved in no shit. Him knowing that I wasn't no street dude I always appreciated that last gesture and conversation. I know he did a lot of bs and when you in that life you sign up for what comes with it. But ill always remember my buddy Jabril. RIP Big Dog!!!
Damn Bruh.. he really respected you‼️
The fact that he told you that, just know that he had love and respect for you! It’s crazy how you can grow up with someone and both of your lives go in completely different directions!

I knew Jabril since middle school. We reconnected in adulthood when I worked in the club scene. I even saw him the night before he was murdered and hugged him longer than usual. I never knew him to rob and finesse people. He was never that guy to me or around me. He truly looked out all the time. All of his people kept suggesting that he move outside the city, but he refused and said he didn’t want to be scared. I wish he had listened. It was so sad to see him go. 🙏🏾

Yup these guys go out cause they choose to be blinded by the devils bs ts real! Believe it or not
So basically Mazi was mentally unstable becuz his siblings were gone and he decided to spread negativity into the world instead of positivity
Hurt People... hurt people
On the outside looking in, I can see why you'd say that. Those of us in the city that ran into him numerous times at that Texaco know that he did spread positivity more than negativity. He suffered a lot and suffered the same mentality most of our ppl suffer when trying to transform their lives from the streets into music. He was scared ppl would try him more or say he left bcz he was scared. He cared too much about what ppl would think. I've seen a lot of ppl suffer in Mechanicsville, but never seen a soul suffer more than he did and I never even knew him personally. But the times I went out to get gas and a snack on the way to see my uncle and cousins on the other side of the city; whether he was mad or happy, when I cross ppl I shoot positivity their way and greet them, he always sent it right back. This man that you call negative was a man who saw me with my son when I was struggling and he wanted some Doritos but I only had enough money for gas, and I won't cap-I brought him inside with me bcz it's where bru was usually at and I didn't want a shootout to breakout and my son be in danger and me unable to get to him, when I had to tell my son that I didn't have it. I didn't even hear him come in, for some reason, I felt terrible when my son dropped his head disappointed. This brother tapped me on my left shoulder and gave me $10 and told me not to say anything. Up until now I haven't. Even when I tried to give him his ten back the brother was so gracious and kind til he didn't wanna take it. Til I told him he sewed a seed that day he blessed me and my son, I was 17 tired and just trying to make it put of high-school and get a better job than what I had and go to college to get even better jobs. And he helped me at a very hard time. I just wanted my opportunity to sew my seed too. And only after hearing that he took his $10 back. Did he have a reputation in the city. Yeah. But he wasn't this infamous, mean, bad spirited, gangsta for 365 days a year. Mostly he was a mirror, if you were good to he was good to you. My aunt who is a pastor even wept when he was murdered and she heard about it. I didn't even know she knew of him with how much time she was at the house, at work, or her church. But even she said most see a bad person when they see or talk about Mazi, but he wasn't bad, he was hurt and projected his pain in a negative way but he had a good heart. This video documents situations in this man's life that were heated and publicized. But he wasn't that way all the time. He was a caring brother and actually it was a part of his demise bcz he cared too much about what would be said if he moved out the city. Hell, the video starts off showing you the light in the brother by documenting the Katt Stacks situation. He jumped in on that beef on her behalf and protected her. I know about cats from the city that were far worse than he was. He never asked for problems but he didn't sick them either. And a 48 minute video can't show you who he truly was. I didn't even live in the city when he died, and news of his death hurt my heart. I was 23 and had moved out the city with sons' mother after our youngest son turned a year old, so it had been 5 years since I saw or even heard of him. My daughter was just born and my kids' mother and I were getting married, happiest time of our lives. And my cousin tells me about Mazi being killed, I didn't even believe him at first. No one did bcz bru survived so many occasions after being shot. When he showed me online..I was literally stunned, shocked, couldn't believe it. And as it sunk in, like many of us from my city did, we grieved. He wasn't a bad guy, he was a father that tried to be his best and do his best for his kids, he had deep trauma he never dealt with (like most of us in the black community, sadly), but his faults and flaws were more publicized than his good side and God deeds. He had a light and he did spread a lot of positive energy. Yahweh just decided his mission here was completed and he rest. And since he controls life and death, Mazi must've been doing something good and serving a good purpose to spare his life so much. A person that spreads negative energy more than positive energy wouldn't be able to say the same, beloved.
Basically.
People dat spread positivity get killed too. You ain neva heard da saying “The Good Die young” ?
@@dreagle1flyI hate that saying cause it’s like cause you got hurt you can use that as an excuse to hurt ppl
Never heard of this kid but I can attest to the fact that if you keep putting out negative energy, you will reap your demise!!!!
fact! The energy we put out always finds it's way back to us. It's the way the universe works
Created too many enemies on the streets I think... What with robbing ppl /drug dealers... Bullying ppl in the hood.. Finessed alot of ppl... With that many ppl looking for possible "get back".. He didn't see it coming... Plus after being shot how many times your body can only take so much trauma? That with his somewhat cocky attitude and self importance... And his losses of family on top... I lived in ATL from 09-13 in the heart of Bankhead off of Simpson Rd. I did a record with Mazi and Jon Geezy titled "Bullets Have No Names" at that point he was shot on 6 different occasions over a 6 month span. I went to that Texaco daily and trust me that spot was active. Even after being shot, I would still see him at 255 on Peters St, but you could see in his eyes he was never fully comfortable, always had his head on a swivel. It was sad to hear about his passing. But that's the streets...
I remember I saw him in Onyx. He was coolin with a few people in the section right next to us. I thought it was strange that he was hanging out like that at a popular club KNOWING he finessed half the globe 😂 . That dude really didn't give af. RIP Mazi

The streets really do love some nigas tho Some nigas have the way no matter what pistols or drugs are around These people be crash outs and shooters only since like 2018 before the pandemic has these people really ahd the spotlight Like some old head said "Why are y'all letting the shooter get the mic? The shooter was never supposed to be on the song" especially since the pandemic and Pooh shiesty we seein these hot boys and crash outs get fame and have a spotligh that leads to a faster grave The nigas the streets love are the ones with all the illegal money focused on money plays and not all this clown mess
That eyewitness saying that nobody tried to protect Mazi (except Omar) when he was getting shot confused me. Mazi was on live telling someone to pull up and they did. I'm not putting my life on the line for that person
Dude was a finesser and paid the price. I dont think he really cared tho cause he went live at the mall the day he died knowing hes a target. Its almost like he gave up and said f it.
Mazi was the most hated street dude in ATL when he was alive. He got into shootouts in broad day, robbed big time drug dealers from different states not just Atlanta. He finessed people, slapped people, extorted people, beat up rappers & robbed rappers, pimped women, shot people from every zone of Atlanta. He even was jacking the Mexicans & ran off on multiple cartel organizations.
He had pull in the streets he had ties to NO LUV CITY in Chicago, OG Crip Big U in LA, PDE, YSL, J Prince Jr. He well respected in the DMV, Kentucky, Tennessee, California, both Carolinas.
Back in early 2015 he got locked up & then he dropped the “How To Get Away With Murder” mixtape when he was released lol he was real cocky.
He drove every car you could think of BMWs, Benz, Audi, Aston Martin, Lamborghini, Ferraris, Maseratis, Porsches, Bentleys, Range Rover, Fisker Karma, Rolls Royce’s before rap & stayed in millions of dollars in jewelry & designer clothes without ever signing to a major record label. He was richer than most rappers. He was really before his time listen to his music everything the rappers today are talking about in they songs Mazi was saying it 10 years ago.
Mazi hands down has the realest & most authentic rap catalog out of anybody in rap still to this day. His music all facts that the streets can vouch for till this day. Good job on this documentary too #LongLiveDrugLordMazi 🔱

Mazi was one of those too tough for their own good type of nxggas- there’s always somebody that’s willing to take it further. Look at this era, there’s your proof..
Who is John John the don?
This was so fine !!!
I’m glad to say I hung with him he was very giving other then his Drank! Don’t touch his drank!
Definitely who be the loudest person in the building about touching ANYTHING of his you are absolutely right 😂😂😂
@@LacreashaJohnson he was a comedian… I was in the studio and he was yelling “this ain’t no damn library” “Turn me up” lmao 🤣

A lot of people been dabbin lately that was Mazi lil work 🗣️
He definitely wasn’t the wildest but he did his thing. That boy Finesse level was at a all time high. Boy boy always was getting to the money. He was the real finesse king. He wasn’t the same after his lil bro got took
Finessing is like playing, everybody don't play.. taking something from someone ain't worth getn shot over,I don't care how hungry I get.
Stealing from someone else just trying to come up ain't something ima do..
And it didn't work put well for lil bro either.
wit this comment you gotta be from decatur lol jabril def wasnt the wildest i known that man since middle school but when mucho died he changed up but the wildest is farfetched
So who you consider wild im just curious…like who was on some crazy shit fair as rappers
@fucdaworld east side or westside ima keep it EAST you got ductape you got the runts it’s niggas dats not even rappers but from the east that maxi couldn’t even touch
SMG AND BLACK MOBB
Those who victimized him continuously were just a little wilder than he was 😬
😂😂😂
Factz
Seems about right
Mazi was the wildest, the king of not giving a f*ck! What other n*gga you know get shot 10 times, including a back of the head shot and chest shot! And still walk the streets like he couldn't be touched! That fool was more than wild, he didn't have all his brain cells!
They really weren’t though. They just got the drop on him… it happens to the best of them. May Allah make it easy on him
That boi was DIFFERENT 🥲❤️🩹
If u love this shit then u cant love thos shit without shoutiin out mazi..he was a arrogant,,loviin, hotheaded,, slick talkiin rapper that u cannot dismiss.. Rest in Paradise Yung Mazi...
He’s not in no paradise he’s in Hell, Hades, Sheol, the pit , the grave. He’s asleep in death with no life support meaning he doesn’t exist anymore he’s just asleep without life.
ecclesiastical 9:5,6 , 10 explain that For the living know that they will die, but the dead know nothing at all, nor do they have any more reward, because all memory of them is forgotten. 6 Also, their love and their hate and their jealousy have already perished, and they no longer have any share in what is done under the sun.
10, Whatever your hand finds to do, do with all your might, for there is no work nor planning nor knowledge nor wisdom in the Grave, where you are going

@@flameshoes8795LOL! WHERE IS THE LIE? The ppl in these comments are delusional.
@@flameshoes8795 the Bible literally doesn’t even mention hell. Not a single time in the entire book. Hell isn’t a place you go when you die. The real hell is the pain of living with your past & the trauma that you carry with you.

Bro would of went far 🤔 only if he used his intelligence over his emotions 💔🤢💯🙏🏾
Im from Miami and live on hosea in Kirkwood. I was walking that night when it happened. So many people came out that night it rained so hard. I will never forget.
I can see this dude was hurtin, angry, and speaking bout how he wana die so he can be with his bro and sister.. I feel sorry for him.
At least he knew it was coming!👍🏾
He knew it was coming but was still driving around with his daughter a few hours before it came. I'm glad no innocent bystanders got hurt.
Great video on a legend 💪🤞
That man in the store DID NOT CONFIRM OR COSIGN ONE LIE HE TOLD IN THAT STORE! 😂😂
He ain’t wanna die 😂
Was thinking the same thing!! Didn’t they show him literally getting in his car to get away from conflict
I aint gonna lie the first part of this video got me dying the compilation looks like a skit
If he was rich why hang out at a gas station? Unless u own it.
He was Hood rich. Trap rich dope boy rich meaning he had a few hundred thousand maybe less but he had racks. But his robbing caught up with him at the end. One of my home boys got shot up being an innocent bystander on peter street .
@@jaxj9813false, them was old videos, that man had so much money, ask Kevin how he got out that fucked deal
That's like saying "If LeBron is rich, then why do he hang out at the staple center if he don't own it?"
Trapping out the Texaco isn't just a Jeezy lyric.

What’s the point of bleeping out 50% of the video? It makes it unwatchable.
Let me tell you why this nigga seemed like he wasn’t scared of death, he was high as shit all the time, perks, lean, x, it’s easy to B brave when something else is controlling you. It would B much more impressive to live like that sober.
What street dude you know, who ain't on pills and lean alcohol and Marijuana! Those are all the accessories for the street n*gga starter kit! 😂😂😂

Imma beat his ass for misrepresenting the muslim religion" NewYork was scared has hell. Bruh was telling me kevin gates is his brother. Had he been solid, he would have been in someone's college classroom getting a degree, uplifting his community, raising his children right & being present in the home. He was a liquid! NOTHING about this is solid.
