Really love that you do so much research into the animal you're building for and say the reasons why you're building certain things for them whilst also making them look amazing! Really covering all bases here
I like the bridge overtop based on the Toronto Zoo Hippo enclosure. Being from Toronto myself and knowing EXACTLY what you’re talking about makes this extra special.
I love how you research the animals and create their enclosures based on reality! You're enclosures look fantastic, and I can't wait to see your future builds. I first saw Pygmy Hippos in Rotterdam zoo and they're very cute, they're such a fasinating animal.
Best Planco/Planzoo channel. I'm so glad Planet Zoo is out so I can relax and watch you build while my spouse is using the computer. It helps me plan out my ideas to be ready once he's done with the PC so I can hop on and build!
You make great points about a filter to figure out what the requirements are, it would be great for safari zones to make sure multiple animals are properly cared for. If the UI adjusted itself to fit all the animals biome for example.
For my grade 11 biology credit I worked at the Toronto zoo specifically in the African pavilion. The Pygmy hippos stole my heart ❤️ the male is the one in the exhibit during the day is the male and his name is Harvey
Pygmy hippo is such a cutie. Cant wait to see the babies. Why is it that any version of an animal is cuter the smaller it is? lol. Maybe because they cant eat our face when small
What a lovely enclosure. Really enjoying this series, especially all the animal facts you sprinkle in. So glad I found your channel during the beta, your videos never fail to make me smile :)
What I do when building my enclosures is I look up the animals on the zoopidia and then click on the habitat circle and it will say how much space they need. Then when you put a door on enclosed enclosure it will say how much square feet the enclosure is. So I just work off of that. Also I just wanted to mention I’m a huge fan of ours, even tho I just recently subscribed due to planet zoo, but I have binge watched a lot of your video I think you fantastic. Thankyou!
That is what's so frustrating with the hippos! They also require a ton of water. Took me a good hour last night just trying to get the water to fill properly.
@@danevans6312 I spend 2 days building the bengal habitat only for the challenge to be almost completed already. They don't need a lot, but the swimming pool took me a long time as well. Can't wait to do the hippos in a few days xD
This habitat ended up looking very nice! It was also interesting to learn more about Pygmy Hippos, we have them here at London Zoo but sadly I don't think I've ever actually seen them on any of my visits, at least not up close
Common or Nile hippos also have blood sweat and not only does it act as a sunscreen but it also acts as an insect repellent and as an antibiotic for cuts so helps them heal themselves as well.
Feel like zookeepers should prioritize food enrichments BUT should also stock up the food trays if they have the funds for it. Kinda ruins the whole food tray thing with a tad of research.
really lovely work 😊 Its a shame that games of this type do tend to focus on African species but it's generally because most of the largest land mammals come from there and tend to be widely popular, but South America has the largest biodiversity and hopefully there will be some nice DLC's in the future to highlight that!
Taking about Toronto having the hippos foliage fenced off tats before they are very destructive animals, during my time at London zoo we had to flatten out the grass ( turf ) most mornings as they kept ripping it up wile it was establishing
Wow man! You are seriously talented! I’ve been doing some recording for my other channel and I’m struggling with the building I’m doing a fair job I thought until I saw you’re amazing habitats! I’ll have to take a class haha. Keep it up!
I love how you did the barrier with the groups of logs... but how to do you select groups of them to copy and reuse? I've been trying everything I can think of and I can only select a single log. This looks way nicer than the generic fencing.
Last comment because im basically spamming now lol. I feel like they should add a feature where u can basically take the enclosure as it is and strech it out, in case you need more room for more animals. Surely this will be a mod but should also be a feature in the base game I feel.
Hi Jonti, I love the enclosure ! But when trying to place this down in my own zoo I either get a "terrain modification failed" error or the game just crashes... Any idea how I could troubleshoot this to find out what could be causing this ?
do you think they'll implement albino-ism lol in the game? they should also add smaller creatures like rare frogs or something to create an indoor vivarium habitat:D
Geekism oh wow seriously? Even more reason why I don’t regret buying this game. I just got the standard cause I felt like 3 animals for deluxe wasn’t worth the extra ten dollars. Maybe I’d they added way more than maybe.
You can get em by releasing eligible animals and the amount you get is dependent on the age, fertility, and overall quality of the animal along with its species status (endangered, vulnerable ect..)
Zachary Whitney yeah I just started. Its hard as nails haha, especially to build like Geekism. Imagining it is one thing^^ I just got some cheap peafowls and max researched them. At least a steady pace of money and maybe the first leaf coins
Really love that you do so much research into the animal you're building for and say the reasons why you're building certain things for them whilst also making them look amazing! Really covering all bases here
Thanks Steve, I think it really helps the creative process to have some focus on what the animals need, rather than just hoping for the best :D

I could imagine this being real zoo exhibit. Really nice build.
I love how you research the animals and create their enclosures based on reality! You're enclosures look fantastic, and I can't wait to see your future builds. I first saw Pygmy Hippos in Rotterdam zoo and they're very cute, they're such a fasinating animal.
The fact you mentioned the Toronto zoo made me so happy! I work as a volunteer there and the Pygmy hippos are my absolute favourite animals there ❤️
Best Planco/Planzoo channel. I'm so glad Planet Zoo is out so I can relax and watch you build while my spouse is using the computer. It helps me plan out my ideas to be ready once he's done with the PC so I can hop on and build!

Your Planet Zoo videos,a cup of hot chocolate and a comfy blanket and the world is great
Love the fact that you try to replicate an authentic environment

All hippos do the ‘blood sweat’ thing, even the Common Hippopotamus (the big one).
Toronto zoo is amazing, I really love the clouded leopards exhibit there :)
What a lovely enclosure. Really enjoying this series, especially all the animal facts you sprinkle in. So glad I found your channel during the beta, your videos never fail to make me smile :)

A truly beautiful build
I love pygmy hippos and I loved watching this so thank you
If they're like the normal hippos, then you'll have to double the enclosure for every 2 added.
That is what's so frustrating with the hippos!
They also require a ton of water. Took me a good hour last night just trying to get the water to fill properly.

Great job Geekism. I love the 'null fence' and make your own decorative fence idea. Love the exhibit. Very talented eye for the detail. Love it.

Wow. That is incredibly beautiful! I have watched a ton of planet zoo videos.. but wow. This is absolutely incredible
Common or Nile hippos also have blood sweat and not only does it act as a sunscreen but it also acts as an insect repellent and as an antibiotic for cuts so helps them heal themselves as well.
so cute the hippos. and your habitat is amazing!
Awesome! I loved how you made the habitat very small!
Thank you! Cheers!
So happy the games finally out I’m excited so see the builds you make!

Most of the videos about the game aren’t serious and are mostly just a joke. Good to see some content about seeing the building feature.
Didn’t even watch 3 seconds of the video and I already liked the video. I just know it’s gonna be amazing 🥰😍
Pygmy hippo’s are sooooooo adorable!!!!
Fantastic work Jonti. I can’t wait to see what you do with the new game and pieces. I love the hippos, they’re so cute! ☺️
I love these type of speed builds. Please keep making them! :D
Seeing you build such amazing things while talking about the animals is so awesome, keep up the good work :)
Toronto Zoo!! That's my local zoo, well, local considering that I'm in London, ON. I'd love to be able to build that zoo in the game.
Taking about Toronto having the hippos foliage fenced off tats before they are very destructive animals, during my time at London zoo we had to flatten out the grass ( turf ) most mornings as they kept ripping it up wile it was establishing

I just got home so you uploaded at a perfect time 👌
Enjoy!
Getting deluxe on Friday in the uk.
I love this exhibit, maybe you can build the (Bengal) Tiger exhibit in Burgers Zoo. This exhibit can you find on ZooChat
Great job! I love what you are doing.
Thank you :)
So adorable!
Is there any water effect that adds more realism to the water than just stagnant?
Informative and beautiful builds! What's not to love? ^__^
I wish you could have an option to decide yourself if the zookeeper priorities the food enrichment or the food trays first.
I love how you did the barrier with the groups of logs... but how to do you select groups of them to copy and reuse? I've been trying everything I can think of and I can only select a single log. This looks way nicer than the generic fencing.
Joanne Brunt control + click try that :)
Keep doing these! :)
Were there a lot of “baths” at the zoo or is that phase over!
How do you build the fences underground and through things?
OH MY GOSH THEY LOOK SQUISHY
This looks so perfect.... I wish I could play. But the zoo keepers not feeding the animals bug is making it impossible :(
I love these videos! Could ya do a komodo dragon or pangolin enclosure next? Just a request
Last comment because im basically spamming now lol. I feel like they should add a feature where u can basically take the enclosure as it is and strech it out, in case you need more room for more animals. Surely this will be a mod but should also be a feature in the base game I feel.
Next up can you do a Indian Elephant build. I have not seen one of those yet.
I'd like to see the baby Indian elephants up close. In real life, they're often quite fluffy.
Hi Jonti, I love the enclosure ! But when trying to place this down in my own zoo I either get a "terrain modification failed" error or the game just crashes... Any idea how I could troubleshoot this to find out what could be causing this ?
Is there going to be a sandbox series or is he only going to do speedbuilds and career
im kinda really sad that theres "deluxe" animals, because i cant afford that edition but i really want them :(
Are you still going to do planet coaster?
So what biome do we think is the nicest looking? I see he's using tropical here.
Nice
Thanks!
I cant use your Blueprint its locked in the game. Do you know what can i do ? :D
Do you think we’ll get aquatic animals for dlc?
i still plan on stealing one of those cute things from a zoo in my area just dont know how ^^
do you think they'll implement albino-ism lol in the game? they should also add smaller creatures like rare frogs or something to create an indoor vivarium habitat:D
Albinoism, or atleast Lecaustic variants have already been found
Geekism oh wow seriously? Even more reason why I don’t regret buying this game. I just got the standard cause I felt like 3 animals for deluxe wasn’t worth the extra ten dollars.
Maybe I’d they added way more than maybe.
Geekism also I’ve realized from your other vids that there are small vivariums.
Can you make a Red Panda enclosure if there ever is one
I hope they Add some parrots.... i love parrots.
im getting this game on the third but im afraid my laptop wont run it :(
jonti how do you get conservation points? struggling to get many on my game
edit: I know youre on sand box but youre a box of infinite knowledge

I just got some cheap peafowls and max researched them. At least a steady pace of money and maybe the first leaf coins
I had to start of with bison on my one map i can handle the financial and management but im awful at the building aspect
Once I’m past college I will share my videos
I thought all hippos had blood sweat
Like, then watch the video
How can you play with endless money ?! D:
I’m expert lol 😂
