My man! I need you to do a video on something... is it still worth it to work on Twitch when twitch owns your personal brand contractually when you’re affiliate? That’s bothering me big time! I’m really debating... what are your thoughts?
The short: You can cancel the contract, unless you want to multistream there aren't major downsides to streaming as an affiliate. The long: Often people say, "Well Twitch takes a cut of bits and subs so just use paypal" but also people can charge back on paypal, often people set up paypal wrong and leak their personal details. Bits/Subs create hype trains that feature you on the front page of Twitch for the trains time limit, and that costs 300 bits minimum (100 bits a person)... pretty great deal to appear on the home page if you ask me. Subs are a way to create regular viewers because they like being there, and get badges/other perks. Gifted subscribers tend to subscribe themselves after a gift month is up because they have spent so much time there while gifted. Channel points when used right are great for chat engagement, people who say they aren't either are too big to use them for engagement aka chat too fast they don't need the extra engagement or aren't using them properly for engagement even at the right size. Twitch owning your personal brand doesn't mean anything for most people, it only becomes a problem if you become Ninjas size and leave the platform then they keep using his channel to restream fortnite streamers. The phrase is scary but at the end of the day, they don't want your personal brand and they won't take your RUclips off you if its under the same name, etc. Recently people have been going on this "Affiliate = bad" trend and I've seen people with 10 - 15 average viewers cancel their affiliate and start shouting about how they have woken up, and they've saved "their brand" but they weren't bringing in any viewership, revenue, etc so Twitch doesn't care. The only person they hurt is themselves because often they aren't even multistreaming to other platforms. Just my thoughts, I really respect people like Devin Nash who create content and breakdown the pros and cons of something like affiliate, and he had a lot of very interesting points so I'm open to being wrong about this but as far as I see it affiliate isn't a bad thing for most people, and you can cancel anytime. As always good content. I remember watching a few days ago in a video you had mentioned what discord servers to stay away from as it can hurt your future growth. As I am just getting into the Twitch space and building and talking to communities online I keep getting invited to servers but I want to make sure I am not going to the (bad) ones. If you wouldn't mind helping me by pointing me in the direction of that video again I would be humbled. Again, love the videos it has helped me grow from 3 followers to 28 in a matter of 4 days and I've only been active in Twitch for about 3-weeks now. Your tips have helped me change my approach the past 2 weeks as week one I was just all over the place. So I thank you.
The bad ones are just the spammy ones that ask for follow 4 follow and post a lot of go lives :) Glad the videos are helping, sorry for the slow reply! Took some time off this weekend :)

I have a discord and I’m keeping it closed until I get 60 followers I have it all setup and in my opinion it looks nice, it has been a great thing in my streams as people will count down and it’s a great engagement method Also to add emojis on the server title you can press the windows key+. And an emoji box will come up to sus what I use.
Wanted to praise you - I've been watching your vids and I'm going to start working on making a brand for myself on Twitch. Hopefully we can game together someday.

Long story short youve got it figured out and I have no doubt you'll be hitting 100k within a few months and a million soon after. You know the algorithm amd the content is super informative and valuable, thanks man
Thanks for all the kind words! It means a lot!
First ever video, where i didn't feel like i have to change something, looks like im doing this one right! yay me
Edit: OH NO PET PICTURES nvm eljay u always got me and my streams backs lol
Nice! Gotta get those pet photos!
This has been very helpful! I always find your videos to have great tips and instructions.
Thanks Sarie! That’s very kind!
I havent started one before now because Im still fuzzy on what discord actually was. And when imagined it as a personal chatroom, I thought it would come with a lot of work
Well this one is a free template, not much setup required! :)
On windows, you can just use a keyboard shortcut to bring up the emojis menu. It's Win Key + .
Not for everybody sadly! Even some windows users this doesn't work, which is why I recommended just using the phone app. Thanks for the extra tip though! I am sure it will help some!
soon as you said "if this video helped you out maybe subscribe" I INSTANTLY did! I love the great content!
Hey thanks! Glad the videos are helpful!
omg I can't believe you've done a template, thats so nice !!!
Thank you so much for this video and the template. I am new-ish to streaming and I was so intimidated by Discord and had no idea what it was-let alone how to create my own server! Lol. Your template helped immensely!
Glad it was helpful! I wanted to make it as easy as possible for new streamers!
Helpful as always just what I needed :) template still worked for me for anyone who saying it didn't work
A tip check your browser and discord app as it might be trying to open the template in either might be your issue.
This is the second video I've watched on your channel and the information you provide is priceless! I'm learning a lot from your content and for that I've now subscribed! Thank you!
SO USEFULL!!!! U earned yourself a sub
Call me Carson is probably my favorite discord sever by far you can meet hundreds of people
I’ll have to take a look! I really enjoy Carson’s content as well!
@@StreamScheme don't do it. Carson's server is full of toxic people who don't understand humor.
this aged well
@@timmynoshoe8404 lol ikr
Nice the template is a huge help! Thanks for the guides now I can have a good looking stream with no one in it! xD
YOOooooOO finally someone gives me a template:D thx man
Enjoy!
Finally looking to create my own community discord server. Thank you for the tips and the template
Glad I could help!
Love this template homie!! I've been watching your stuff for a long time and it's been helping me out incredibly!! Love you and all you do!!
you are amazing dude, you have literally made building my stream so easy and im so thankful.
Awesome man thats cool i dont understand a lot discord but this is gonna help me
Good luck! It's fairly straight forward once you get the hang of it!
@@StreamScheme i stream in spanish. Is my native language but sometimes i stream in english when i play with my friends. But I'm learning i start on Facebook gaming but currently stream on Twitch most all time when i play pokemon i doing on RUclips.
honestly, great video. Very informative and the template kicks ass.
Haven’t set up a discord server cause just about everybody has one, not that I don’t think it’s essential I just want to make one that’s unique and gives something different that motivates people to use it
After getting motivated by you i gained 3 followers (its my first day a streamer)
Thank you for this template, I just used it and its SUPER helpful! thank you SOOO MUCH!
RUclips really be weird lately. I just made my own discord to grow my community. Awesome video as always!
RUclips is watching everything....
i have a discord but as a starting streamer no one has joined yet. Glad this came before people did join so now i can have a professional looking chat. mine looks good for pals but bad for a actual discord
Glad I could help! Keep it up!
@@StreamScheme heck yeah. You’re advice has given me a great base line for me. Thanks. You’re doing great for all the fellow streamers and RUclipsrs
You sir are a mad lad!! Thanks for the content! It's really so helpful
Happy to help!
My favourite Server is -Ninja Monkey Streamers-
but thanks for the template so helpful again love ur videos man well done keep up the awesome work!!!
cant wait to cya live
Glad you like them! Thanks for the kind words :)
I have a discord and I’m keeping it closed until I get 60 followers I have it all setup and in my opinion it looks nice, it has been a great thing in my streams as people will count down and it’s a great engagement method
Also to add emojis on the server title you can press the windows key+. And an emoji box will come up to sus what I use.
Sounds great! Seriously, I love this concept!
Its a daunting experience trying to learn something from which you know nothing about! Thats whats holding me back, but Im ready! Thank you!
Wanted to praise you - I've been watching your vids and I'm going to start working on making a brand for myself on Twitch. Hopefully we can game together someday.
Your videos have been soooooooo helpful with me starting my streaming journey. Thank you so much for all the tips and all the help!!!
This was great, been struggling big time with Discord server creation. Thanks for the free stuff as always!!!
i will be using this with my new twitch channel. thanks for saving me a ton of time
Not sure if you are a really good person, or an angel. Thank you man!
Thank you so much for creating that template! Saved a lot of time trying to figure it all out and provides a great, well rounded server to go to. I appreciate you.
