      @@alveenasaeedyes but they can be caged together still. One will become the dominant one and pick on the other a little bit to let them know who's boss basically but they even pick on females too so it's normal.

      @@alveenasaeedI have two males in a cage btw and two females in another cage. Once the females get older I'm gonna pair male and female to each cage.

      That's a good solution to separate them in the cage, but I don't put my birds in cage for whole day
      what should I do ?

      @@alveenasaeed I don't either. They're in my room and if I'm home they're out of the cages unless I'm too tired to pay attention or sick but they're fine when you let them out, just try to pay attention to if they mate because they're really not supposed to until they're two years old which none of mine are yet so I just watch them but they only really try to mate when it's season and that's pretty much ending now so I just let them roam around on top their cages and their foraging perch... Cockatiels are foragers so you should get something for them like a perch stand and buy hay from Walmart for them to walk around on. I put seeds in the hay and millet spray because that's mostly how they eat in the wild... Inside the cages I only give them nutriberries which are basically pellets not ground up (the best food you can give them) and then some vegetables but make sure you read which ones they can't eat like avocado or apple seeds or any fruit seed can kill them... No oven cleaner in the house either.

    Hey! @alveenasaeed How are you? I really appreciate your efforts to raise such cuties 🥰 I wanted to share some info about breeding this is what I got it from my research that mating with siblings or same bloodlines is not advisable as they're tend to have many health issues and their lifespan has less chance of their offspring.

      Thank you so much for this information.
      I am trying to separate them when I see they are showing mating interest..
      I would not let them mating because they are so young, just now 4 months old..

    • @chamcham_dhokla_tiels
      @chamcham_dhokla_tiels Год назад

      Absolutely yes do it and the best age for mating is 8 or 10 to 12 years as they are more likely to be mature and capable of taking good care of young ones.

      And hey I want to share my ordeal too! I got another teil in thought of to pair them thinking to be female but now I have a doubt that it could be male cuz he also started singing and doing all male things 😭😬😅😆

      @@chamcham_dhokla_tielswhat? I thought I read that 2 to 8 years old is the mating range and after 8 years they don't anymore.. I think Google searching told me that but they get a lot of shit wrong on the older sites before we got all this technology so idk what's true.

      My male bird was 1 and half years old, and the female was 3 years old, but I got 2 chicks from them... most of the eggs were infertile because they were young
