The girl in the back waving 👋
I was holding the camera down a bit so I didn’t get others in the shot but she was too sneaky 😂
👋
Me and my wife started drinking a shot every time you say the word booth and we can’t make it half way through one video without passing out
Those TV trays were a blast from the past for this girl who grew up in the 70's!!!
As a wise person said - if you don't make mistakes you aren't doing nothing and if you don't do anything you won't make mistakes. Stay safe to the both of you.
Who said this?

Made an 800 dollar mistake this month... man that made me more diligent 😅
Josh, you really need to wear a mask when you work with the concrete dust. That stuff is really nasty & can cause severe health problems.
You really have to check things over good when buying from marketplace. And that's hard to do when you meet up with someone and just want to get the item. One of my favorite thrift stores is the Restore. We have a great one here in KY and the staff are the best. Most things are priced reasonable, with an occasional overpriced item or two. And they get such great donations here. Our community really supports them. And I love what they do with the profits. Have you sent Mose off to boarding school or something? lol I miss seeing him. He hasn't made an appearance lately. Thanks for taking us along on your adventures.
Love your passion
Those trays are TV trays. They were really a big thing in the 60s through 80s. We still use ours when watch TV while we eat dinner.
Habitat for Humanity Restore is my local reselling HONEY HOLE. It's the best kept secret in my area, especially for vintage hard goods. It's also incredible for rehabbing homes. Oh man, I'm so glad someone recommended it to you. I hope yours is as great as the one near me!! Mistakes are lessons Josh and nobody is perfect. Love you guys so much!
Came to comments to say the same thing!!
I tip my hat off with how you handled that loss, way to be humble. I would've exposed them and report them to facebook for selling something on bad faith. But I guess your approach frees you from the drama and stress that could bring lol
I’ve learned to just stick to the bins for sourcing even when I’m tempted with retail arbitrage…profits are so much better! Thanks for sharing your pick ups and your challenges! One day I may well on whatnot but not any time soon, makes me think it’s too much work right now.
I love how honest you are in your videos! You and Hayley are the best Josh! Thanks for the video!❤❤❤
Wondering if the booth is paying for itself? Hoping it’s making profit
Everybody makes mistakes - next time, slow down and take your time checking things. I must admit I do tend to be a slap dash myself at times! You did well at the bins this time :) I wish I could buy on Whatnot but shipping to Australia is too high sigh (and sometimes custom charges apply too). Stay well 😁
You guys keep me reselling, thank you for the content!
Time to enjoy the video!
I agree, I love the different items you guys are now picking up for your booth and how excited you both are with it. I can imagine how fun it is to be able to buy things you normally wouldn't due to shipping issues. A tip, if you want to know if a glass is Kristal, tap against it. The higher and clearer the sound, the more Kristal in it. You gotta play around with it at home, do it with different glasses so you'll hear the difference.
can't wait to see more progress on the booth, mostly because you can get things that you could never get before due to shipping and it'll add even crazier finds over time. gotta do more pallets too now that you can stash a lot more!!
I can’t believe they sold that vanity to you like that! That’s ridiculous!!Whatnot is amaaazing! I found out about them through you and I am sooo glad I did!!
I can't believe you've not been to Habitat already. Also Google surplus building supplies to see if there is a salvage type area near you. I found a marble slab that I cut (soft enough to cut with a water tile saw)...cut it to fit on a new to me 48" vanity. I'm currently 75 and this was less than 10 years ago. Oh, did I mention I'm an old lady! You can do more than you think. I still say buy a base cabinet and buy 1x4 filler for each end. If you are using this as an investment property...put on a stone looking formica top. Renters can be brutal.
Go back to the market place seller and request your money back. He had it listed for 'practically brand new' thats a total lie!!
These videos are SO ENJOYABLE! AND EDUCATIONAL!! AND ENTERTAINING! You both are such a great team!
the lass waiving in the background at the start was class 🤣🤣
I LOVE that outlet! Gotta get back there for half price day soon!
Hayley and Josh!!! Thanks for taking us along! I appreciate you both so much! Stay safe stay great and keep up the good work!!!!
Hayley, Mose, Josh - wishing you well. Marie, Penny, John in Iowa.
Mistakes happen, don ´t worry about that. It shows us other people you are also only a human😀. I enjoy your videos, it is so much fun to me. Thanx
I was thinking back to an older vid about the bathroom vanity. If you still haven't solved that issue, I would suggest getting the smaller one and setting it to one side of that alcove. Then with some wood build a small riser on the open side to act as a shelf for a small trash can next to the sink. This can help hide the open area of no tile or missing wall. Then you can stain or paint the wood to match your trim or the vanity you use.
Enjoy your videos.
I use to hit Goodwill just for deals to keep. Now I flip it. It’s almost like a modern day treasure hunt. Friends are wanting to go with my now
TV Trays: those of us “of a certain age” remember how useful they were back in the day because television only had 3 channels and lacked a way to record it for later viewing. If you wanted to catch an episode of your favorite show (often in Black and White) you had to be there, eating in the living room where the big console TV resided. Life has certainly changed!
And by "big", you mean a 25" screen. That was the biggest they came. 😄
@@Lunafalls Actually, I meant big as in a really big heavy console box with a Cathode Ray Tube that weighed so much it took two guys to move it into the house, but yes the screens were relatively small, for the size and weight of the units.
@@brianhenry2385 I know, I know. 😄 We had one too (and were quite proud of it). $525 (in 1976 dollars!), on sale at J.C. Penney. I guess they figured people would balk at the price of anything larger than the then-standard 25" screen. Or perhaps the picture would have just looked too grainy.
@@Lunafalls Agreed about the price stopping many buyers, which is why not every home had one and folks gathered at their neighbors to see them. I also suspect the technology of the day limited the size of the tube, the way today's tech limits the size of solar panels.
unedited bloopers are the best
Fabric at the bins?! It's so expensive to buy it elsewhere. 😭😭😭
Josh, if you want to quickly estimate the yardage on that roll of upholstery fabric just count the layers on the end of the roll, every two layers is about one yard.
Thanks
@@karentingler4937 learned that trick when I worked in a fabric store. Nothing worse than having to roll it back on the tube after measuring out for a customer and it’s 1 yard less than they wanted.
Thank you! Great tip.
Shame on the person that sold you the cabinet with hidden issues. Great job on the flip house.
We bought some MCM bags at a reputable auction house a few weeks ago and spent quite a bit on several bags just to find out half were fake upon further inspection. Costly mistakes bc I didn’t do some very minor checks. I’ve learned.
That is how this business works, there are good days and bad days, thankfully I have more good days than bad days though haha!
@@LeadMe2TheBlissyep, luckily we’ve had more good days than bad ones.
Then you should be able to get your money back, it’s illegal to sell counterfeit items, especially when it’s an auction house, they could lose their licence, I’d 100 percent be contacting them for a refund.
yea i remember my late teens / early twenties and all the concrete dust
My husband had to do the self leveling concrete on our entire family room floor before putting vinyl flooring down. It was not easy.
The little brown mini Disney plush you got is called a Munchling and they are very popular. They come in several sizes.
Love your videos and your honest content.
10:47 I know those TV trays. I have those TV trays. Still using mine! The ReStore - recommendation seconded. It's the place to go for household bits. Furniture, cabinetry, house parts etc, even paint. Saves money and the money you spend goes to Habitat for Humanity to build or rehab other houses.
Yeah Facebook marketplace can burn sometimes. Glad you put the music back in your outro
Enjoyed the little moment at 14:14 with the ‘re-do’ that got left in the edit!
Lol
That’s what I get for trying to edit this video in less than an hour 😂
@@HairyTornado😂❤
the upholstery fabric would more likely cost about $15 to $20 a yard. sticker shock!!! Thx for the cool vid as always!!!!!
You are so awesome even after someone did you wrong!! Love you guys, and many blessings!!!!
Shoutout to the girl waving in the background at 0:32 😆Great video!
Don't worry we all make mistakes Josh it's a learning experience and knowledge on what you're looking for now ❤❤
Ahhh the joys of rental/rehabbing property. You'll get there. Hopefully, you can get that red in the black on the flip house by renting it.
10:44 THE BOSS COMES IN 😂
I love you guys and watch you all the time. I just saw your booth at the antique mall for the first time and you might want to have somebody come in and help you spruce it up and stage things more attractively
Respectfully, I like the way our booth looks. Perhaps you can rent a booth and stage it the way you like :)
The "little brass thing" could be a toast rack. I saw them in England. The bread is toasted and then each person gets some pieces in the rack.
Seems silly lol
@@HairyTornado I agree because the toast was always stone cold when you ate it and the butter didn't melt into the toast.
Also used to hold envelops & letters.
Don’t feel bad about your cabinet overspend. You live and learn. That’s why older folks are so wise, they’ve already made all the mistakes.
Yall are doing a great job! Keep on grinding! 🙌🏻
My partner and I hunt for those metal dining trays every time we go out....for ourselves, not to flip. Can never find any in decent condition.
It's a mistake, but also a learning opportunity. I've always told my kids as long as you learned from it, it's not wasted. ❤
Great video today you guys. Thanks.
I really want to move down there just so I can rent this house from you. You guys are so genuine and honest. I just love your videos. I am always looking forward to seeing them come out. I definitely enjoy seeing the longer videos. You guys are awesome people.
I didn’t see the concrete dust. You looked fine.😊
Those tv trays are FANTASTIC! I wish I could find a set here. I don't have mid century decor, but I don't care 😊
Great haul love your videos Clara
Southeastern Salvage on Garners Ferry Rd has almost anything & everything for way cheaper than lowes or home depot. Not sure if y'all have already looked there but it's a huge place & packed with inventory! We were looking at flooring..great deals!
Shout out to the girl behind you waving and smiling while you were in line in the intro 😃
Keep up the good work Josh and Hayley. May God continue to Bless y'all. I enjoy the video!!👍👍
Good luck with the habitat for humanity store The one in my area is outrageous
14:11. Love that you left that in.
No matter where you shop, be sure to look things over really well. Thankfully it was an inexpensive mistake 😊
Many people use the casserole dish holders to put books in. Standing them upright.
Hey mister Hairy Tropical Storm. When are you coming back to WhatNot?
We are on whatnot like 3 days a week. Never went anywhere
Feel my dinosaur
That orange table runner would look good for display in VINTAGE booth
The Restore for Habitat for Humanity is a great place to pick up home goods and you know the money is going to a good cause. Mine are also great for sourcing, but I've been told that the Restores I have here in Hampton Roads, VA are special that way.
We have three in San Antonio and two in towns 20 miles away. The day of brand new fittings for 10 cents are gone but the insulation and trim boards are around half price and now and then the sales are back. I’ve used them to for the $5 waiting room chairs from city offices and end tables/dressers mirrors for rental unit. The $1 a six pack of led bulbs as well.
Also check in your area see if you have a store called "Restore"... they are like Habitat stores.
Please wear a mask if you ever need to mix concrete again. That stuff is not something you want to inhale!
Don't sweat your mistake--we've all made dumb mistakes with stuff like that. It's maddening, but it happens.
Nice video…. Would say great if we got to see Mose ☹️☹️☹️☹️. We need to see him more. Please ☹️☹️
It's a load of crap that they didn't disclose the modification to that cabinet. As far as Facebook Marketplace goes it has gone downhill. So many scammers and rude people.
I’m pretty sure Hayley doesn’t watch these Vlogs so Your Secret is safe with me my lips are sealed & my nose is clean😳!All The Best! Be Well Be Safe & Stay Blessed.
Dang, what a bummer about the vanity! Hopefully you can make up some money somewhere else! Habitat for Humanity is a great place to get some stuff cheaper for sure! Happy Halloween guys!
Hayley you've got the perfect shirt on! Matches my vehicle!
New drinking game. Take a shot every time he says "like". lol 😂
Your gumball machine $$ tracker is fun!
That little brass thing you got is for how the English serve toast
Thanks for again a video! I love you two. I find your prices in the booth low, very low. I hop you will sell a lot.
Love from the Netherlands ❤
Happy Halloween to both you’s!
Josh, you are a really good, kind and genuine guy. Wish there were more like you! May God continue to bless you and your business. Keep the videos coming; really enjoy them!
Thanks! ☺️
The Baronet wallet is vintage. The trays are called TV trays and they become popular when TV dinners were first invented and people would eat their TV dinners. Little trivia for you. Lol
Douglas cuddle toy plush are really good!
I love vintage TV tray sets
Really enjoy your videos. Lots of good info!!!
UGG! I HATE WHEN THAT HAPPENS!! I LOOKED FOR THE MATCH TO A UGG BOOT TODAY WITH NO LUCK! I HOPE YOU PICKED UP THE BURTON CASE.
Just saw this part of the video. I would have not have picked it up.
When you go to habitat restore, Josh, be sure to look for things that you can easily resale. Sometimes they'll have large quantity items like door knobs, or locks, or similar items and you can buy the whole box and we sell them at quite a profit.
I love that halloween bear, will that go on whatnot? Love you guys🧸❤
Thank you so much!
Well it sucks about that vanity but at least so far its been one of the only hard "lessons" learned. Other people doing flips learn way more expensive "lessons" keep up the great work. I think ya'll are doing an awesome job considering its your first time doing something like this.
Where’s Mose 😢love your videos
The cactus vase was cool for real...
Take the camera with you to Habitat. We want to see. ❤😂
@0:31 The video bomb!
Don’t beat yourself up over the vanity. Think of it as a $200 lesson. When we learn a lesson, we know better so we do better. A mistake often repeats itself.
Bummer on the Burton Bag. Our Goodwill bins caps the price on individual items at $6.99. Got a Husqvrna sewing machine complete for $7! We dont get half price or $.99 plush though.
Can't find your camera straps? Find a "home" for them and that's where you park them each time when you are not using them. That home can be a box, basket, shelf, hook, whatever...So, when you come home and you take off your camera & straps, it should go to its home.
No more running around looking for those items, as long as you are CONSISTENT, you will always find those camera straps.
Whenever you're mixing anything dry, that has a dust factor to it, you should be wearing a simple mask... You can do a lot of damage to your lungs and it doesn't take much... I almost suffocated after shaking the last bit of a powdered stone into a mixer and breathing in the dust that was released into the air by my emptying the bag. Had someone not been present to help me, I wouldn't be here to warn you!
Don't blow off wearing safety gear or adhering to safety protocols.
Josh and Hayley, I don't know what I'm doing wrong. I have a few items around the house I wanted to sale and I bought a few things to sale as a trial run. I haven't sold ANYTHING. I really need to make some money. Did you all have trouble selling things when you first started out? I'm so disappointed.
I've found stuff to resell at the Habitat for Humanity store.
I really wish I had a bins closer than 4 hours away from me lol.
My local habitat for humanity is great for stuff like cabinets and lights also small stuff like switch covers and plug covers are super cheap. We just bought a house and we have been going and finding a lot for it.
