    I think Saints, who were originally the same Sarkaz as the others, thought that one of the biggest threat was the infighting. That's why the biggest offence is in fact infighting amidst Sankta - thus Mostima turns back into Sarkaz, as it's their original form. I think Mostima wasn't in the wrong, she did best thing she could back then.
    I'd say there was an ancient device, like Sarcophagus, and it was used to do something akin to genetic conditioning. Sanktas Harmony too, I think it doesn't exist to just feel what others feel, but primary so the others can know (like Mostima) when someone wants to break the rules. Law is far from perfect, it's possible to, you know, get around the rules, by simply not using gun to hurt other Sankta. I also think that Law can't be changed. That would mean that biggest threat to Sanktas way of life are LAWYERS.

    The Law of Laterano also seems to have some sort of"will" or preferences. You have sanktas like Adnachiel and Executor, whose angelic traits are partially present or dimmed.
    On the other hand, Mostima fell when she shot a compatriot in an act of rage/anger and self defence but Anduin and The Pope shot each other without any repercussion when both were morally "right". I like to image there existed an ancient and highly advanced civilization before the Terra we currently know of today, comprised entirely of normal humans. Then a world-ending/apocalyptic event ('The Collapse') caused by their own machines nearly made the human race (all life in general) go extinct. 'Humans' that survived/were born after said event had there DNA mutated (the races we have in Terra today), the lands/environment became extremely hostile/inhabitable (catastrophes), and Originium is actually an artificial byproduct created from 'The Collapse'

      The Doctor might've been the only known remnant (excluding Priestess) of the civilization because it's implied in the Vigilo event that they're the only remaining member of their race. Not even Kal'tsit knows (well, she hasn't mentioned it yet), the old hag of a cat who's about tens of thousands years old.

And Closure says that many parts of Rhodes Island are beyond her control and comprehension, and that she's one of the only Terrans capable enough to understand any part of it. Basically, Kaltsit knew and sought out tech far beyond Terran comprehension.
      What's also interesting is why Rhodes is so important to her - and why, if it is so important, did she wander Terra alone for thousands of years until she just decided to dig it up for Babel?

    I have been reading Arknights lore since joining the server during the original Jailbreak event...and I have to say that Guide Ahead event lore got me hooked on theories.
    *What did Anodain see in the basement where the Pope showed him?*
    There are many guesses as to what is down there, interpreted as "The Law" but one thing is sure: *Anodain got mad and lost his composure*
    Whatever is there is enough to make a calm man lose his sanity and question everything.
    Here is my guess:
    *The Sankta are an artificial creation. Every last Sankta out there is sentient, living and conscious being...however; the origin of Sankta is They were "made by the Law" that is hidden within the depths of the Basilica (Laterano Cathedral). Think like lab capsules that you see in movies where monsters and clones are made and suspended in fluid*
    This secret is extremely dangerous to share with others and must be kept confidential at all times, lest the entire Sankta race descend into chaos and madness
    This also explains why half breeds of Sankta and non Sankta would always take the non-Sankta features.

    • @thehumus8688
      @thehumus8688 Год назад +1

      I think there is no "halfbreed" in terra - per se.
      I mean if 2 diffrent Race have offspring, its like 50-50 chance which trait they will fully inherit from parent (or geneticaly maternal Dominant like IRL (as Genetic diseases and disorder are more easily passable to the kids from Mother) - so the offspring became same race as their mother).
      we have not (yet?) seen like Character that have like has Snake tail and also Donkey ears or smth
      Mixed offspring either became part of 1 Race fully, or the other race fully
      (even cecilia which is "Nephilim" dont have horns or demon tail, which weirdly made her a de facto Sankta - she is anomaly, but she should be sankta through and through)
      Also, Some trait are Recesive and other are dominant. Like Black Eye color gene is more dominant, than colored eye. If your spouse have Colored eye and you have not. your kids have higher chance to have black than any other color for eyes

  • @DManSammy
    @DManSammy Год назад +6

    The points you brought up made my own observations/pseudo-theory make more sense.
    If the Sankta indeed derive from Sarkaz, it's almost assured that the two races are based on the Children of Israel (Israelites/Jews) and the Children of Edom (Philistines/modern-day Palestinians), who also share a common origin -- Father Abraham (via Isaac), who, before becoming the Father of Judaism/Christianity, was a hedonistic Chaldean living in Ur.
    The parallels between our world's Jews and Palestinians with Terra's Sankta and Sarkaz only increse, especially when looking at our world's "Summit of Nations", aka United Nations. Israel is always at odds with an anti-Jewish Semetic nation (these days, Iran), each party levying accusations of human rights violations at each other; meanwhile, the Middle East is at constant war with each other, whether Sunni vs Shia, Kurds vs the State, or Semitic terrorists vs the non-Muslim world.
    It's at this juncture where I must disagree a bit with your theory, Qaiser: I believe Terrusalem aka Laterano wasn't created to oppress Sarkaz, but rather to prevent Terrusalem from ending up like their Sarkaz brethren, and thus the modern rules that ban Sarkaz are upheld, albeit the reason has been lost to time and turned into a mindless prejudice instead of an understandable yet exaggerated fear. Once again, comparing Sankta to the Jews, even the human lineage of the Messiah, Jesus Christ, has non-Jewish blood in the bloodline, namely Rahab of Jericho (modern-day Gaza, if I'm not mistaken), and Ruth of Moab (also an offshoot, albeit perverted, of Abraham, specifically nephew Lot and one of his own daughters 😰). Having said that, going back to the story, this could be setting up for some kind of future "Messiah", having descended from Cecelia, the "forbidden" Saint harkening to the Saints of old.
    There's more parallels I could make, namely the Law being a reference to the God of the Old Testament, Who dwelt between the cherubim of the Mercy Seat atop the Ark of the Covenant of the Mosaic Tabernacle and communed with the Israelites via Moses and Aaron (and the Levitical laws derived from the 10 Commandments), but I think I made my point.
    As for how someone like Andoain and his Pathfinders fit into this theory, he and they could be a reference to the Samaritans, a mixed-race ethnicity of Jews who mingled with the local populations of the land, and were seen by the Jews culturally as less than dogs (not an exaggeration). (This is why the parable of the Good Samaritan was such a big deal in Jesus' day.) By and large, the Samaritans believed in the same God, but had their own ideas of how to interact with Him (much like Andoain's views on Laterano and the Law differed to the point of being seen by other Sankta as "Astray" (or in Christian terms, "backslidden").
    TL;DR: Terra's Father Abraham had horns at one point.

    Look again at the location of the halo and wings;
    Halo - hovers on top of the head, where horns are growing out from.

    Another point to take take notice of is that in the event is that both Andoain and the Pope point their guns at each other and fire with the intent to hurt each other(at least for Andoain's case) and they were both surprised to see that neither of them became fallen angels. I think that's what caused the Pope to turn in Andoain's favor.
    Personally my theory is that the original sankta and sarkaz were the same race but after some event(likely of the Cain and Able variety) sarkaz became 'tainted', both in a spiritual and a genetic sense. The first saints could be the first of that original race to become Sankta through some kind of blessing through the 'Law'. Any mixed race child loses that blessing and simply doesn't become Sankta. Any Sankta that goes against the 'Law' is tainted and becomes Sarkaz. Any Sankta that dies simply loses their wings and halo possibly reverting back to that original non-blessed race.
    And the consentual eons-long conflict is the the result of 'Blessed punishers' and the 'marked/tainted punished.'
    Cecilia is likely the daughter of a relatively untainted Sarkaz. Just pure enough to become a Sankta but also tainted enough that the wings and halo and her control I've originium artes are weak and can have moments where they weaken and flicker. The belltower either recognized the girl as that original race. Or the belltower recognized the song as an original race art that controls it. Or both.

    these are some interesting ideas, but there's a reveal from a future event that presents some complications with this theory. in lingering echoes, arturia-executor's cousin mentioned in guide ahead who became a wanted fugitive from laterano-has a short cameo in the event. she is very clearly a fallen angel, both due to her criminal past as well as her shattered black halo and black wings. however, she does not exhibit any sarkaz traits whatsoever, lacking sarkaz horns and a tail. if the sankta are sarkaz modified by the law, then why didn't arturia grow back any sarkaz traits when she became disconnected from the law? furthermore, there are also other reasons why some angels develop sarkaz traits-mostima wields staves possessed by some sort of sarkaz spirit, and cecilia is literally a mixed sankta-sarkaz child. it's entirely possible that mostima and cecilia's cases are exceptions to sankta, and thus might not indicate anything about their true nature.

    I think there is serious credence for Sankta being Sarkaz until "the law" happened. Its certainly fun to think of it that way either way. Its like the reverse of how the "demons" were created from fallen angels in the bible. I like that asymmetry since it paves it's own identity.

    I'm not really familiar with Mostima's lore, so correct me if I'm wrong, but isn't the reason why Mostima has those horns and tail is because she holds the Lock and Key (or whatever the weapon is called)? In lore, I think the former holder of the Lock and Key was a Sarkaz.
    Mostima being fallen only resulted in her Halo going dark, while the Horns and Tail was the result of the lock and Key, because from what we've seen in other fallen Sanktas (Arene and that Laterano NPC from Lingering Echoes), they don't have the Horn and Tail feature

      But from what i know Arene was exiled from Laterano after contracting Oripathy during a Laterano firearm inheritance-related incident several years ago. I do not think there is anything in his files pointing to the fact he is “fallen” and merely an infected Sankta.

But there's still that Sankta Musician npc from the Lingering Echoes event, which isn't global yet. She pretty much looks like a Fallen (Dark halo, dark wings that seems to be breaking, similar to Mostima), but doesn't have any horns and might also not have a tail

      A little detail you should consider is Enforcer didn't realize Mostima was a fallen until she took off her hood. If a characteristic of a fallen is simply black halo Mostima's halo wasn't covered by her hood but he didn't realize she was a Fallen until he saw her horns. I think Enforcer said in Guiding Ahead implying bad moods can make halo glow dimmer, so simply having dimmer halo isn't it.
      Arturia (that Sankta NPC in Lingering Echoes) isn't explicitly said to be a fallen yet, even it strongly implied to be so. Nevertheless, we haven't seen other definitive fallen Sankta other than Mostima (and Patrizion's old friend described in Fiammetta's module) so we have no one to compare her too.

    Discovered Terra 3.0 (the informative geography video from CN´s 3.5 anniversary stream) kinda confrimed or at least implied that the Sankta are actually Sarkaz, because of what Kal´tsit said:
    "In ancient times, when the stars could still gaze in the skies, the Law (the supercomputer that creates and controls the Sankta) materialized in the midst of the battle and strife, giving rise to the Sankta. The Teekaz (The Sarkaz´ancient name) back then couldn´t understand this betrayal"
    This also implies that the reason why most Sarkaz and Sankta hate each other is because the former saw the later as outcasts. But as we know. the truth has been forgoten, and this hatred has become common sense.

    I'm really interested in the "law" thing. the purpose is to regulate all Sanktas so they live in peace, but if we go back to chap 9 (spoiler if you haven't reach that part) when Outcast, an elite operator who is a Sankta, lost a bet to Kal'tsit that she won't use all six bullets in her revolver. a light fall on Outcast and she died. (Might I add it was of self-defense to help Bagpipe escape from enemies)
    what the hek does the Law do? I know she made the bet but punishing her for utilizing the full potential of her gun (that I assume is her "only for me" gun) is probably not something a law should do. and it didn't make her grow horns or remove her wings and halo, it just straight up killed her

    • @MonoReaper
      @MonoReaper Год назад +5

      The Sankta cant shoot 6 bullets in a row with their unique species traits. This is even reflected in gameplay that Sankta operators only shoot in interavals of 4 or 5 shoots per second.
      There is a unknown cooldown before the can again use up to 5 shoots in a row with their special powers.
      Outcast got vaporized by the "Law" after useing the 6th shoot to suicide attack the enemy.
      The promise she made to Kal Sit was because Kal knew that Outcast would kill/sacrifice herself at one point if she continued her lifestyle of jumping into trouble.
      My best guess is that the Network called Emapthy connects all the Sankta to the Server/AI. Their halos being mobile Wi-Fis with wings adding to the mobility.
      So when Outcast broke the Law regarding the 6th bullets the AI pinpointed her location and vaporized her by a orbital strike.
      PS: From all the implications i think the "Law" refers or is very similar to the 3 Robotic Laws + inverse lore to add a few unique rules.

    Ramblings of a Madman
    I think the same that Sankta are transformed Sarkaz by the Law aka the Origin aka the AI under the Basilika.
    To point a few interesting clues out from information i found
    -The Law is very similar/implied to be the 3 Robotic Laws. (Makes sense with the Underground structure being a huge sci-fi place with a AI as the MasterControleUnit)
    - The Sankta are walking/talking Wi-Fi aka their Halo is the is the Wi-fi which allows them to wield/spread their "Empathy"/Network with each other which allows the Law/AI to have eyes all around the world viva the Sankta who are send to every country. (Maybe implies the AI is looking for something while the Pope covers their whole facade as Peace Keepers in order to deploy Sankta around the continent)
    - Origin of the Sarkaz/Sankta conflict. Point A: This could lead back to back then the major civil wars between the Demon Lords & the Sarkaz that fled just wanted to live in peace and stumbeld upon that Artifact & in the process of fleeing the Demon Lords got wind of their findings wanted it for themselves & the end result is them transforming into Sankta to fight off the Demon Lords Sarkaz troops.
    Point B: The current hatred/casual killing of Sakraz & them being banned from entering Laterno is because it could reveal their origin as Sarkaz thus why Cecilia was such a big deal because the scenario where Sarkaz fall in love with a Sankta would tell everyone hey for some reason all Sankta/Sarkaz coupled produce Sankta children. Yet this doesnt happen with any other furry species. Ergo them just trying to cover up that fact.
    -The whole Empathy thing seems very similar to how Sarkaz can share memories/grant someone else vision. We seen this with Amiya who inherited the "power of Theresa". Even during the Amiya vs Patriot conflict we seen Kal Sit mention that as well the vision Patriot saw where caused by Amiya overflowing Sarkaz powers.
    So maybe the Law/AI just enchaned/changed the Sarkaz fundmental connection to create its Wi-fi network aka Empathy.

      The Law itself probably doesn't see any point in turning more Sarkaz into Sankta.
      The Law is only concerned with keeping the Sankta in existence; that meaning, the group of Sankta that currently exist, which are bound to it.
      That is literally its ONLY directive; it doesn’t care about Sarkaz, and so it wouldn't have any rational justification for adding them to its network. In fact, it would likely consider it better if they didn't exist, because that means one less threat to deal with, one which is probably the most dangerous aside from literal gods like the Snake and Ishar-mla, the latter of which the Law likely isn't aware of to begin with.

    Here's the thing: Sarkaz are universally despised. The rivalry with the Sankta makes sense, but what's up with the rest of the world getting into it? Something must have had to happen at some point; for the Sankta, it was them getting slaughtered, but what is it for everyone else?
    Theory 1 was the most interesting, but also kind of the least grounded? I feel like it's the only weak link in this entire video, because you have excellent points backing up everything else, except for the part where the Sankta were "created". The whole "leading them to the tower and establishing a connection" part was good, except one thing: if I remember correctly, the Law isn't under the tower, it's under the Basilica. The whole thing still works, but the "Sankta used to be Sarkaz" thing feels just a little empty.
    Theory 2 is dependent on 1, but it certainly makes sense, so that's a W theory. 3 made a decent bit of sense too, so also a W. 4 sounds a bit too hopeful for Arknights, which is kinda like the grimdark of gacha, so I'm only going to say that I agree the Pope is probably not a completely good guy, and the reason is that he likes sweets. It gets shoved in our faces so often that it's one of his character traits, and nobody that old who loves sweets that much has ever turned out to be a good guy. Oh, also, he looks like Sankta Gabe Newell, if he had the best beard in all of Terra.

    What do you think about the idea Sarkaz and Sankta, at the moment of birth, are both of the same race, but when they get allowed into a "server"/have a entity to serve they are altered towards the two races, basically a evolutionary split (I think) due to higher entities, like Kjera and Nian.
    Sankta having Law and Sarkaz having... something... the default choice, being leftover scraps picked up by a mad god of hate and violence... Originium? Maybe, since it would make the Sarkaz vulnerable to itself for easier spreading, but the Sarkaz gain a higher form of Empathy with Arts sharing and other things too, so maybe it's just a side effect.
    Regardless, I would put that susceptibility to whatever rules Sarkaz, Sankta's get Halos and Wings out of nowhere, susceptibility to Originium doesn't seem much harder to create.
    And as for mixed Sankta other race lovechildren never being fully Sankta, maybe because those of mixed-blood wouldn't be fully under Law and thus it's not accepted? Assuming that's the reason then having Sarkaz and Sanktas have a Sankta child at birth would mean they're one and the same, at least at birth, and then Law adds the child to it's server due to being technically a full Sankta.

    Worth noting that the pope outright states that the only objective of the Law is the continuation of the Sankta - that’s why Andoain’s desire to make Lateran a beacon of hope to a cruel world was rejected, ‘cause it has a lower probability of Sankta continuing to exist in the long term. His faith is shattered after seeing that the Law isn’t some divine will but just a machine (supercomputer?) following its sole directive.

      2) The sarcophagus is a really well hidden secret in the ursus goverment and most people working on it were killed except kal'tsit, also kal'tsit is implied to be thousands of years old, meaning she knows a lot more than what she wants to tell.

These wars in turn left a deep mark why Sarkaz are feared as Devils + the Vampire nobility doing some shady stuff.
      2. Kal Sit knows a lot about the old tech of the ancients. In facts everytime something major like the Sarcophagus are discoverd she travels towards the location involving herself with the situation to get a hold over it. maybe it's not the law, maybe it was some kind of testament that hold the sarkaz gene back from sankta. that maybe killing one of their kind can trigger those gene and revert back to their original form. I mean, if we talking about sarkaz and sankta both of them is like light and the shadow, good and bad, yin and yang. if you do bad thing, you'll turn into bad thing. and Sarkaz was the representation of bad thing wile Sanka was the Opposite. end even if it like that, we got another representation from Mostima that even in one single person, no matter what they is there is always good and bad side on them.

    I disagree with a lot of the points and conclusions made. Regarding theory 2 I thought it was made pretty clear in your last video covering Mostima that the reason she grew horns and a tail were because of the Lock and Key, not due to her falling. Also you made a claim stating the government of Laterano doesn't want people finding out about the connection between the Sankta and Sarkaz, but if Sankta grew horns and a tail everytime they fell I feel like it would be enormously difficult to keep it hidden that they are supposedly related. On theory 1, there's no concrete evidence the Sankta were once Sarkaz and instead believe that they were a seperate race that were being persecuted. First of all, while it's true that the Sarkaz fight one another often I've never heard of them singling out a specific group of Sarkaz. It makes more sense if they were a different race who were weak and couldn't fight back, but it would still make sense if the first saints were Sarkaz because Cecilia made the bells ring ( I also agree that the Sankta were made by "The Law" by changing their original genetics). On theory 3, while the purpose of Laterano might have evolved into what you claim ( there's evidence to back that up), I feel like assuming it was made to torture the Sarkaz as revenge instead of protecting the Sankta without knowing what the first saints and the Sankta at the time were thinking is a personal bias against the Sankta. Also another personal bias I would like to point out, while watching the video I kept getting the feeling that you were trying to paint the Sankta ( and those who live in Laterano)as unnecessarily racist towards the Sarkaz like when you used Fiammeta encountering that hidden Sarkaz, but there's plenty of reason behind their actions. Starting with the Fiammeta example, the Sankta and Sarkaz mostly hate each other, almost to kill on sight level if not already. Thus it stands to reason that when Fiammeta, essentially a soldier of her country, sees that a Sarkaz is hidden in Laterano, where they are banned from entering because of the hostility towards eachother, she assumes the Sarkaz is planning on nefarious deeds ( which as correct as she was with a group of people who planned on over throwing the government). Lastly I do agree that there will be major change in the future for Laterano regarding their relationship with the Sarkaz and maybe Kazdel.

      The Pope mentioned that instances of Sankta able to defy the Law & hurt another Sankta are rare & implied previous Popes disposed of Fallen Sankta swiftly(Current Pope is very unusual for letting Mostima & Cecillia life). Plus there also the thing going on that a Sankta cant shoot more than 5 bullets withouth some kind of pause/cooldown because once you shoot the 6th bullet you get vaporized by the AI/Light like our good old Sankta Grandma from Rhodes Island. (RIP) That even reflected by all Sarkaz operators they only shoot in intervals of 4 or 5 hits.
      The whole reason Andoin & the Pope werent able to kill each other is because of the 3 Robotic Laws. They literally cant by instinct/command hurt each other.
      Considering how propaganda works its extremly easy to fool people into believing a thing/keep things hidden. Especially with Laternos religious set up. On top of the unknown capabilitys of the AI mindcontroleing the Sankta viva their Empathy Network/Halos
      It is becaues the first Saint hailed from Sarkaz lands. Thats outright told in the event. That after fending of the Sarkaz attacks they "build their Paradise in Laterno"
      The Offical story just spun it as Sankta always lived in the Sarkaz region until Sarkaz started a genocide on them. This all happend during a time where the Demon Lords of Kazdel fought each other constantly for power
      I think the ongoing conflict is just keep the Sarkaz at bay to not leak their secret & whatever intentions the AI itself has because its implied to be sentient enough to have a goal by sending Sankta out into the world under the facade of Peace Keepers/Mediators. (Could that the first input/wish by the Saint upon the AI was to grant them the means to fight Sarkaz which then turned into a "instinct" aka line of command code where Sankta are naturally killing Sarkaz/dislikeing them due their Halos empathy network/transformation)
      They are certainly racist towards them. The question begs if its out of choice or not. Flammeta herself is just a victim to church propaganda as she was raised as such by her adoptive Sankta father.
      Its easily overlooked but Sarkaz are literally banned from Laterno. A Sarkaz entering Laterno will be killed usually even if its just a civilian. The Sarkaz you see with Andoain are all under cover/hidden by the people around them. Aka the whole reason Andoain went rouge was because he realized their raids onto Sarkaz lands are literally them bombing/killing civilians which is mind wraped by their instinct to kill Sarkaz. (Think about it why Cecilia was her entire life until her mother died inside the house forbidden from leaving. Sarkaz are killed on the spot always)

    Regardless of what the races are...Mostima is best girl (my opinion).
    Anyways It makes more sense that Sankta were once Sarkaz that found "The Law" and the first Saints were the first to be converted.

    Cecelia has NO Sarkaz features. She does have potential Sarkaz elements in her blood, but she doesn’t have the horns, tail, pointy ears, fangs, or exposed skull that would mark her as any particular kind of Sarkaz. She can go out in public and all Lateran citizens thought she was just another Sankta.

    • @MonoReaper
      @MonoReaper Год назад

      Medical examination showed that Cecilia is growing tiny horns under her hair. Like skin surface levels. Plus there was a reason why Cecilias Mother NEVER allowed her to go outside the house. Because they could have faked her blood tests etc over a long time with their whole movement already being in Laterno for a long time undercover.

      @@MonoReaper What's this about horns? That's not in Enforcer's files, he has no Operator Record or Module for additional text, and there was nothing about Cecelia growing horns mentioned in Guiding Ahead.
      Also, why would you say the Pathfinders had infiltrated enough to fake Cecelia's bloodtests to support how her mother needed to HIDE Cecelia? If they could fake her records, she could have gone out in public.
