And the fundamental understanding that identity is something you choose. It’s not inherent. Getting right down to the theme of ID VS Nature. Woman VS Slayer or Woman VS Deity. And finding the balance between. You could say Buffy never does. But then she doesn’t really have to. Because she does something much more important than that. She recreates and redefines what it means to be both.
