Awesome. I was given a sata. Called germany spoke with a guy who was blown away by the serial number of my gun. Super early number,. Old school gun. Can't wait to rebuild it now. Have a 2000 sunfire getting ready to sand. I'm going to follow all your tips, tricks and techniques you shared in so many of your great videos. Your a pro!!!! I really appreciate you teaching me so much as a novice painter. Now I just have to decide on an affordable product, ouch. Also some equipment like water evaporator and pressure gauge. Awesome! I justed picked up 2 used 4000b's an hvlp and an rp for 450.....they both spray pretty good bit I figured for the price and what I have in them a rebuild couldnt hurt...helpful videos man,thanks!

The chrome was pitting from the body
How did you find a repair kit for that cheap?🤨lol they are over $100 now.And I hate those nozzle cap rings what a pain to install without warping it lol
Hi, bro, did you not replace the air micrometer seal and run a lubricant on the internal component? And the peski C clips for the trigger are the wirse to take out, plus there is a washer on the inside of the handle. Good clean gun. Got about 8 of them Sata's. Keep the channel rolling!!!

Mr Pharraway, I have an off the wall question. I bought a really nice old boat. The paint is the pits! Faded out and awe full. Can this fiberglass boat be resurfaced using base coat clear coat with success? I certainly hope so.... Thanks ....

Does the 4000b rp do ok as a base coat gun? I realize most use these for clear. Just wondered how it would do as a basecoat gun in a pinch. Thanks.

why did you change bodies?
The other one was two pitted
Why not just clean it? Did the body really need to be switched over? I can't see those bodies going bad without something serious happening to it.
Yes it had a lot of pitting on it

Which direction does the air cap o ring go ? I noticed you didnt mention which side went against the cap and which side goes against the gun, it isnt the same on both sides

The body of the gun was pitting off the chrome and had sharp edges trigger was getting stuck also
