8 years of passion, hard work and a will to win, we are saying goodbye to a natural born fighter and a fantastic footballer in Javier Mascherano. El Jefecito has always given his absolute best on the pitch and we have him to thank for more than one decisive final tackle, or important title. It’s sad to see him go, especially now in the middle of the season, as it would’ve been nice to celebrate some more trophies with him in May, but the decision is his own. Farewell Masche, you absolute legend.

Fantastic video of a fantastic player. Seems like he hasn't fully received the recognition he actually deserves but most of us will remember him as a great, loyal and professional defender who always worked for the best of the team. Hopefully he gets a nice farewell.

Best defender in 2015, he the reason why Barcelona won the treble, every match he played, it was like a final, he clear so many dangerous ball n was there when Pique make mistakes. Captain without armband.
