hahaha! 1 second after lifting that book to my nose I knew it was weird. LOL! But that really is how I tell...after a bit the smell goes away and it's harder to tell if I remembered or not. I also had to sniff that new set of Albrecht Durers I got. I sniffed them for a lonnnnnnng time. haha!

Candice, we have a similar career path. I used to work in the corporate world too until I got laid off in 2008. The biggest blessing in my life! And went into a creative/artistic field and never looked back. 😊 Love your pages!

Absolutely breathtaking how you got the light effect etc. I always struggle so much with light sources so I tend to ignore the but this was outstanding. Hello my dear. You keep track of your coloring a lot like me. I love when I actually start a new book since I have so many that I haven’t started yet. My friend bought me a book and the pages were almost waxy. It’s horrible to color in and I didn’t want to hurt her feelings so I have done 2 pages in it. Wow you double page with the birds is Gorgeous. All your pages are beautiful l love them all. You are very talented.m

I seriously like all your pages because looking at them you can feel that you have really enjoyed playing with your supplies. You do it to make yourself happy and aren't afraid to"fail" somehow. Always enjoy the experimental and very mixed media pages the most. I especially loved the Tatiana Bogema page (great success with the light source in my opinion, the Krampus (awesome) and Alien Worlds of course. I still haven't gotten the last one, it kinda scares me a little, the amount of details is mad😂
The details are UNREAL. And and the rocks! KERBY! What's up with all the rocks?? Obsessed much? Thank you so much for your kind words my friend. I keep thinking I will stick with what I know best and have more successful and easier pages but then I find myself experimenting with something on every. single. page. Why? I guess I can't help myself...I have to make things complicated LOL! But it sure keeps the hobby interesting and I never experience a coloring slump

omgosh me too @@HappyCatastrophy my poor mythomorphia needs a full rebind at this stage...it does make it easy to colour in though. Once I've completed the book I'm planning on rebinding the whole thing. It'll look super nice then.

Mine is the English version, I'm just struggling cause I messed up remembering what pencils I'd chosen for the background. I also did the Klara Markova freebie! Such a good freebie too. I love how yours turned out so shimmery ❤❤❤ Crayola super tips are also a fav of mine. Have you tried using them as watercolours yet? It's so fun as a different technique! It's a favourite to use on Lulu Mayo books too. If you need help cracking into A Million Llamas I'm happy to help, it was my first Lulu and it's fun to go back to! I LOVE LOVE LOVE the mythogroria page. It's stunning! So worth the effort. Thank you so much for sharing ❤❤❤

And I love too many of Kanoko's pages to believe it's cursed....but I suppose there has to be one per book haha.

Hi! I use Kamar Varnish by Krylon. I would put a picture here but YT won't let me. I get it off Amazon. Krylon also has a working fixative that more artists use because you can spray a layer then keep on working. It's good when you are using messy mediums like pan pastels. Krylon has others - matte, glitter, clear acrylic for paper, UV resistant....I just use the one I always use. But I'm thinking of trying out the matte one. It would film better and my colors would be more true but something in me just really likes the shiny! lol Definitely use it outside though. I wait for a non-windy/rainy day then fix my pictures in batches outside. I bring them in later to dry overnight in my laundry room. This stuff is smelly for a bit but the smell dissipates and disappears eventually.
