      He's certainly complicated his life's journey. Life is difficult enough and with a felony the opportunities in life are extremely limited, especially with finding a job. Without a high school diploma or GED, it's even worse. He will make pennies on the dollar for wages for a minimal job if he can find one. Independent contractors will be his best option for employment.

NOT teaching them about it and assuming they have good parenting at home is part of the problem bc then they end up exactly where this kid and 10’s of thousands of other kids are or are going to be. It's great to hear you appreciate the judge's straightforward approach! Judges who are direct often help set the tone for the courtroom, encouraging defendants to reflect on their actions. What do you think makes this judge's style effective?

      @Karensincourt She's a no BS type of judge. And I believe that she really cares for most if not all the people that stand before her.

    I live in the UK and i would say this Judge is brilliant and i wish we could have her over here to sort out all our youngsters who go out and commit crimes, she would not put up with them. I certainly believe the youngsters need jail time to make them realise what would happen to them if they continue committing crimes. Xx

      It's interesting to hear your thoughts on the judge’s approach! Many believe that accountability through consequences can genuinely impact young offenders. What kind of reforms do you think could better address youth crime in the UK?

    • @carrieannnourse6227
      @carrieannnourse6227 3 дня назад

      For a start we need more detention centers as Youth crime here is getting so bad. We dont seem to have the resources or not enough Social workers who can support these youngsters and stop them heading into crime. Our Laws seem very soft compared to yours as the UK are adamant that any Child cannot be charged as an adult under the age of 16 years regardless of the crime and that can include murder. Our country needs proper investment into building centers for the young criminals in the hope they can be given an opportunity to learn by their mistakes. I wish we had the system you have over there as i saw in a documentary one time whereas your young offenders were given the opportunity to go with the Army instead of Prison but if they broke the rules the offender would go back to jail and do the sentence. We need that kind of rehabilitation for our defenders here too. @Karensincourt

      It's an interesting point! Many people may say they want to turn their lives around, but following through can be a different story. It would be insightful to explore how often these claims lead to real change-what are your thoughts on ways to support those who genuinely seek redemption?

      It is pretty wild to think someone would try to charm the judge with a hair flip after committing such a serious act! The audacity is baffling. What do you think motivates people to act that way in court?

      It seems there's some confusion regarding the individual's gender. In the courtroom, accuracy in addressing people is important. Would you like to share your thoughts on how language impacts courtroom dynamics?
