"Can't Out Run You" is really good, Chance takes the lead for it.
Chance directed that video too. When he was with Street Corner Symphony, Chance directed the majority of their vids.
One of my favourites and sadly not reacted to enough.
Made me cry. Such a Beautiful tone to his voice and the video was gorgeous.
Based on the live version and Tim mentioning that Jeffrey (the other writer) doesn't think about breath, the first breath comes after "in a world where anything goes". Which is is a long time to go through. And yes, remember that from choir

Yeah, I finally saw them live back on the 27th and it's the best concert I've been to as regards the singing, the humor and just the great vibe they create!

I had the pleasure of seeing this performed live at Tims Birthday Bash in Nashville this year and he joked about the wordyness of the song and having no time to breathe. It was great!
So much talent all wrapped up in one package!!! Jen, I know you react to other artists but you and Home Free are a perfect fit. They should always say " ft. Jen". I actually watch your reaction to them before I listen to the original. I love your analysis and your natural humor is the icing on the cake. Once again Home Free has knocked the ball out of the park.

JEN, yes do react to "Cover Me up" you'll be so proud of Chance...he makes some awesome runs & riffs...and the song (a cover of Jason Isbell) is so pretty...and in the video - YOU MUST WATCH PAST THE MUSIC....it's very important !!!! Very special video for Chance too...he picked that song and he scripted the video & he also directed it as well ( not sure about the editing but I would think he's involved) also it's a quarantine video, and Chance's part was filmed on the outskirts of Los Angeles...I believe in the desert east of LA in the Imperial Valley.

Another great original by Tim Foust and Jeffrey East. Tim seems to know how each of their voices will fit in a song. Once you get into Christmas season, Snow Globe also written by Tim has a part for each specific voice.
"I Can't Outrun You" is Chance's best...he also directed it and the video is really clever...but have a tissue nearby
These guys are the BEST acapella band out there bar none. Every single one of them can sing like no other. They are so versatile in what they can sing. And the best voices I've ever heard.. Rob's voice is just phenomenal!. They all are.

This was filmed by Jimmy Bates at a small airport in Oregon. Jimmy has been involved with many HF videos both on his own and formerly with The Hound and The Fox through their production company Fifgen.
Filmed at the Prineville airport, which is in the Oregon high desert about three hours from Portland. Bet those southern boys were cold! In the BTS, we only saw Jimmy, Chance's wife Sami, and the guys. No one to do hair, makeup, or iron those flight suits.
As these guys get better and better its harder to tell that there are no accompaniment. They never cease to amaze!
A lovely song superb performed as always. If you want to hear Adam Chance listen to Folsom Prison Blues, Brothers in arms, Born in the USA or American Pie

Yes I'm going to ramble on. These guys have The most perfect harmonies I've ever heard. I know we do like Pentatonix and voice play, but home free takes the cake. You just have to listen to the harmonies, and these guys were just perfect with it.
Your scrunched up face on the thumbnail is the absolute BEST clickbait. My brain went through the following thoughts within milliseconds of seeing it. "WTF?! ", "NO! She can't be serious!", "Of course she's not serious. I know better than that." followed by hearty laughter. Woke me faster than a mug of coffee, thank you very much. And, of course I thoroughly enjoyed your reaction and analysis as always.
As for this song and album, I am hoping that this is their radio break through. Every song is radio friendly and still an exquisite showcase of their talent and skill. Maybe us Home Fries should start spamming the CMAs to get HF an appearance. They deserve all of the success that comes their way. And, with the Oak Ridge Boys as mentors, they'll be able to avoid the pitfalls as they come up.

Another great original song. Love when they all take turns in singing a verse. Adam once again blows me away with his fabulous vocal percussion. And how cool do the guys look in their uniforms & shades walking out of the airplane hanger. Reminds me of a mixture of "Top Gun" & "The Right Stuff". Another winner!
Having sung barbershop and watched a lot of really good singers, I have come to the conclusion that they can breathe through the soles of their feet.

Another great Chance lead song is "I Can't Outrun You" originally by Trace Adkins. He had a lot of the creative vision for the song and the video which is incredible. The song is silky, smoky and the video is inventive all just like Chance!
A really good one to react to is their cover of One Man Band......everyone shines in this one 😍

As expected: Amazing!!!! Great that everyone has the lead in a part of the song. Here too you can hear so well how important the harmonies and backgrounds vocals/sound is in a song. And of course the inhuman vocal percussion. Only there is one problem. It's too short!

I do watch what they post, but I wait for the a CD to get to me before I listen to the whole thing.

Home Free, and David Phelps(!!!!) are masters at breath control. Love your analysis! Helps me appreciate all the different aspects of musical performances. I'm a Home Frie and also a Phelps Phan! I love music, but am the opposite of musical (it's really bad). But God blessed me with an appreciation for sound, be it vocal, instrumental, movie soundtrack or sound effects. Unfortunately nobody I know has this reaction to sound. So thank you for sharing your HF reactions with us. It is so fulfilling watching your enjoyment of every little aspect of a HF performance (that mirrors mine so accurately). HF is just so GOOD!

Great reaction! I cracked up when you giggled at Tim's Ba Dum! I can't help but laugh when I hear his Ba Dums throughout a song. It makes the song sound great, but it's still funny to me. Our boys came through for us once again. Always think "how are they going to top this song/video" and they always deliver.

Jennifer! Late again. I've come down with something and am a bit under the weather and short on sleep. But I'm here! Yes, 14:41, at least one of us will notice the black fingernails! 😂But what is up with that one cheeky rogue nail on the right hand middle finger? 🤔 This was a more happy cheerful song with the crisp harmonies. No real chances to practice low notes. This one was right in Home Free's stylistic wheelhouse and they did a great job. Interesting choice of settings, an airport, no? Great reaction/analysis as always Jennifer. 😊

I love Home Free and how you break down their vocal dynamics. Please consider doing a reaction to the female a cappella group Starling Arrow. The group was formed from 5 already awesome vocalists. Their two current releases are Wild Sweet and Into the River (to my ear the more complex of the two).

Tim Is know for having a large set of….. lungs. Their live performances confirm that. Not saying he didn’t take a breath during the first verse, but I wouldn’t be shocked. But as you say, can do anything with the studio version.

If you get a chance to listen to this again, check something that I think you may have missed. A couple places where you described Rob leaving the ah vowel open on words like my, I thought I heard something that Rob is very good at. A lot of singers will turn the diphthong way early on those types of vowels, but Rob is very, very good at holding the target vowel open and turning the diphthong right at the end, as he connects the word into the following word. It can be subtle, but it actually makes the word more understandable for the listener, even when they don't consciously hear it.

Chance has done some really nice work with a duo called The Hound + The Fox. It would be difficult to pick just one that they've done together but I think a good representative sample that most would be familiar with is "Wayfaring Stranger", found here ruclips.net/video/pB4SYEmwBn8/видео.html.
