Let me know what you guys think about Baby Metal 🤔 I have mixed opinions and want to check out more of their songs. Drop your favourite song below 👇
You said “Drop your favourite song below”. Sorry, I cannot do that. I would have to drop 25 performances, bare minimum. 🦊 🖖❤
Syncopation, live obviously :)
Rondo of nightmare with mischief of metal gods intro. Megitsune. Headbanger. Those 3 should show you how good they are.
if u love heavy metl listen to ( babymetal * death * legend 1997 ) i refuse to believe that there is anything more metal then that song
Babymetal is normally heavier than this song. They have a backing band that is really heavy and very good, called the Kami band. Of course, the girls are cute. In particular when they were younger. The original girls were Su-metal (lead singer), Yui-metal (dance and shout) and Moa-metal (dance and shout). Yui got some problems in 2017 and left the group in 2018. Then the dancers were 18 and the singer 19 and they no longer were small girls. They tried with two girls. But eventually they decided for a third stand in that was several girls. The stand in without microphone. In 2023 one of the stand ins became permanent and was called momo-metal. And that is how it looks today. Now they are 21, 25 and 26 and are better referred to as women than as girls maybe. As you saw in the video, they are still cute though. Now the dance and shouters are singing more. And -as a last remark - momo-metal actually can growl and do it well. Something used now and then but I guess they are going to use more. She actually do growl a number of times in this song: "Everybody" and "Are you ready".
The thing about Babymetal is that out of a catalog of over 70 songs you will not find any two songs alike. I have seen many a reactor write them off after only one song and revisit them and discovered how incredible versatile they are. They are very well respected by metals biggest acts and have played with the likes of Metallica, Red Hot Chilly Peppers, GnR, Korn, Stone Sour, Sabaton, Dethklok and Lady Ga Ga, they are about to open for Slipknot in Brazil and Mexico City next month.
Babymetal have done several collaborations besides with Electric Callboy including Bring Me The Horizon, Tom Morelo and Polyphia. As far as Ratatata goes it is Electric Callboy's biggest hit so far even reaching number one on the Billboard charts, it was even the theme song for WWE's Brawl in Berlin.
Babymetal are one of the best live and hardest working acts out there today, production on their Japanese shows are next level. Do yourself a favour and check out their latest videos from their Legend MM and PIA Arenas shows.
@@jeffconnors407 thanks for the comment, il be sure to check out more by them I don’t want to give up on them just yet before Iv heard more
Good honest reaction - but it is quite funny you liking the Electric Callboy parts but not the BABYMETAL seeing as, for this song, BABYMETAL were completely fitting in with the Electric Callboy style.
BABYMETAL are so versatile that they can collaborate with pretty much anybody and make it work and make it work well. They will fit in with their style and they make it look and sound almost effortless ... it takes a lot of hard work, talent and professionalism to make it look so easy.
This collaboration was actually BABYMETAL's idea - they were wanting to make a song that would be pure fun, one that people could dance along with like Electric Callboy's 'We Got The Moves' but they felt something was missing.
They decided to ask EC if they would like to be involved so they went to see EC playing in Boston (they were both there at the same time last year) and met up backstage with them before the show.
'RATATATA' was the result.
After a lot of back and forth and over 20 rewrites and variations etc they finally agreed on this final version. It is a straight 50-50 collaboration, but it is very much in the EC style.
BABYMETAL started young (they were 12 and 11) in 2010. 14 years on and they are one of the very best live bands, plus they are original and unique, you won't find another band quite like them or doing what they do.
They have about 70 songs now, each one different to the last. They have songs in virtually every metal genre, but they will also mix and blend so many more musical styles and genres with the metal.
Some songs are good hard metal, some lean towards their pop roots and they do everything in between (plus the odd thing completely out of the box).
It will take you at least 3 or 4 different song to begin to grasp what they do ... and then they will completely throw you with the next song.
I agree with the comment that said not to start with 'Gimme Chocolate' as, based on what you said here, you won't like it .... not yet. In time - it is a fun live song, but you would need to be more familiar with them to understand that one ... and they can take some getting used to.
The official videos are all good, some should almost be compulsory viewing, but live is where you will always see and most importantly hear them at their best.
You have some good suggestions already, here are a couple more (the last one is special):
- 'Megitsune' live at PIA Arena April 2023 (one of their earlier songs, still one of the best and a big fan favourite)
- 'Mirror Mirror' also live at PIA Arena April 2023
- 'Maya' - guess where from
- 'Ijime, Dame, Zettai' live at Sonisphere UK 2014 - their very first time in the UK aged 16 and 15, virtually unknown apart from a shock factor video that had gone viral ('Gimme Chocolate') and on the main stage at their first metal festival and first major event outside of Japan. They had 25 minutes, just 5 songs, to try to win over 50k+ UK metalheads while singing in Japanese. IDZ was the last song of the set - listen for the crowd at the end as the girls walk off stage.
Did you notice how cool Kevin was at the end? No one turns around how he does!!
This was a collab and not really what Babymetal is typically about. You should give them another chance, and please listen to a live performance. Live is where they shine!
@@gsejapan 1000% Il be giving them another chance with some of their songs and not a collab
The second “Are you ready “ growl is Momometal doing it.
Straight talk: If you're gonna react to a BABYMETAL song, don't do 'Gimme Chocolate' first. You won't like it, and it's not a good representation of their other music. Any other of their songs would be fine...preferrably a live performance tho, they're best with an audience.
@@emperorchopchop7726 thanks for the heads up 😂 il definitely do a live version the next time I listen to them I wanna give them a fair chance
um...yes, that's just my taste, but maybe you should react to the real Baby Metal song...whether you like it or not doesn't matter, thank you for reacting to Baby Metal...stay healthy and keep up the spirit...💪 💪👌🙏🦊🦊🦊
BM is one of the best live bands out there, so hope you check out something else before deciding. Based on your reaction, if you do check out more from them I'd suggest something more recent like:
Babymetal - Kagerou (Legend MM 2024 Live)
Babymetal - Monochrome (PIA Arena 2023 Live)
Babymetal - Maya (PIA Arena 2023 Live)
@@Solo6978 I’m definitely going to give them another shot before I give up on them it wouldn’t be fair based on this song I feel like. Thanks for the suggestions hope you enjoyed the vid
BABYMETAL is definitely not for everyone but I still find it interesting when Electric Callboy fans say they aren't into it. As a fan of both groups they tick so many same boxes for me that I just find it strange when someone likes one but doesn't like the other:D. But it's way better that you are honest rather than just saying you love it while you don't:D. Hopefully you'll try some other songs from BABYMETAL and maybe they'll click for you.
@@Tyyppl for sure I know what you mean I feel like they deffo have the same style but I’m going to try out some other songs and see how I feel
Babymetal got me back into Metal with Ratatata, and got me to check out Electric Callboy and other such bands, so I like the song personally.
As a die hard EC fan, I kinda had a similar reaction to a first listen to this. But I will say, it really does grow on you. I ended up adding a couple baby metal songs to my play list.
As far as suggestions for more EC, you can't go wrong with any EC song. They don't miss.
And yes, absolutely see them live if you can. They are phenomenal.
This isn't normal BabyMetal, they are being goofy and weird also. It fits the song, like you said. BabyMetal has no fear and will experiment a lot, but they can go insanely hard when they want too. A few of the growls are BabyMetal. the girl on the left is the growler.
@@bradkornatowski3866 for sure I’m not giving up on them yet and il definitely react to some other songs by them
@@ZKReacts39 They started doing metal at 11-12 years old. Do Headbanger from the Legend 1997 show. The lead singer was born in 1997, and this was her 16th birthday show. You can see them younger, and it is amazing their level of skill at such a young age.
Saw Electric Callboy live at Sonic Temple just days before this song was released, unfortunately they did not play it live as they premiered it live with Babymetal at Fox Fest in Japan. Live, Electric Callboy do put on one heck of a great show, even though they weren't headlining I believe they had one of the largest crowds at the festival, at least for the day they played.
This song actually started me down the Babymetal foxhole. As Grington and Jakemuller have already done their typical walls of text, I won't drop even more info as they have pretty much covered everything that would be relevant for right now. One thing I will mention however, as you stated that you weren't really a fan of their part in this, as long as you're respectable about it, as you were here, you won't get attacked. With this song in particular though, I will say Babymetal sound different in most of their other stuff, though they mix a lot of styles through all of their songs. With that being said, I'll get on to suggestions;
Babymetal: Road of Resistance Live in Japan, Headbanger Live Legend 1997 (abr metal has a good version) or Karate Official Music Video
Electric Callboy: We Got the Moves or Tekkno Train
Welcome to the Foxhole 🦊🤘🔥
It's always nice to see more reactors getting into this amazing group, they're a global phenomenon from Japan and trust me you have seen nothing yet, so don't make a final statement until you watch at least 3 songs of their own we will suggest for you.
Here's a basic info to start and getting to know more about them:
BabyMetal is a Japanese metal dance unit created in 2010 under another Jpop/Jrock group called Sakura Gakuin, they had 11 and 12 years old when started this and become independent after 2013, they created their own genre called kawaii-metal (kawaii means cute) mixing Jpop with metal sound and different subgenres along with many more rhythms. Their name is a reference to a new genre and not related to their ages or "baby" faces, is a pun intended play on words with "heavy-metal" which sounds similar to "baby-metal".
They are:
*SuMetal* lead vocalist, now 26.
*MoaMetal* scream and dance, now 25.
*MomoMetal* scream and dance, she's 21 and is the new official member since April 1st last year.
-YuiMetal- scream and dance, former member since 2018.
None of them are related.
After 2018 you'll see backup dancers performing along with them but none of them are official members, they don't sing, only dance, but remember that status changed last year.
There's no other group like them around and teaming up with this group from Germany just elevated them even higher.
This single reached Number 1 best selling song in the US Billboard rock/metal chart for the first time for both bands!
In May they did the live premiere of this song in Japan at FOX_FEST (a festival held by BM) just a few days after the single was released and everyone went wild with this collab, the live version is also available if you wanna see the differences. They played this together once again at Rock Am Ring and the day before at Rock Im Park in Germany twice in the same day, one during EC show and later at BM show.
In June they did the Europe Tour and finished at Resurrection Fest in Spain playing this collab once again in the same stage twice.
The girl in the middle is the lead singer SuMetal and she actually dances less than the other girls (MoaMetal and MomoMetal) because she sings most of the time but regardless she can dance and sing and you won't even notice she's out of breath.
About this song:
This was filmed in Germany and the concept of the MV is they're breaking boundaries with the genres and they don't care about corporation decisions.
The "hips don't lie" is definitely a Shakira reference.
The "Fu Fu" part reminds me Backstreet Boys - Everybody female backing chorus but it's also used in Japanese karaoke as well many others songs.
I found funny the "push it to the limit" line is used in the Scarface's movie OST, another post disco, dance rock song with some guitar elements.
The moment when they're bursting the wall could be an homage to Aerosmith x Run DMC - Walk This Way MV, symbolism of breaking the boundaries with the music genres like I already said.
Also one of the singers is holding up the cable with electricity during the breakdown it could be a reference to "The Cable Guy" movie.
When I heard the official audio I thought the second "Are you ready?" chorus was MomoMetal doing the backing growling but they didn't show that in the MV, although later fans spotted in the live performance, so it was her after all as well in the third chorus when singing "Everybody".
There's probably more references but I'm a little bit far away from pop culture nowadays that I'm probably missing a lot more.
Fun fact: EC said in a reactor comment and later at their own reaction video that they did the bursting the walls scene in one shot, there will be a bts so we're waiting for more.
The crew had to put all those disco ball on the celling manually just for this song.
They met each other last year when BM went to see EC live in Boston and they asked them to work together, this is a 50/50 collab song.
Next suggestion:
- Road Of Resistance live in Japan official MV (2015).
- Headbanger!! live at Legend 1997 (2013).
- Megitsune official MV.
I'm gonna leave in my next comment where to get more proshot clips from early era safe to react if YT allows me to do it.
See you next time 🦊🤘
Here's the list of live performance clips usually safe to reacts without any filters so you won't need to rely on live compilations, there might be some exceptions:
- Headbangeeeeerrrrr!!!!! live at Legend 1997, SuMetal 16th Birthday in 2013, they got MV of this and is fun, but live is a blast.
ruclips.net/video/LNFiDWJh2FA/видео.html
- Akatsuki, live at Budokan 2014, this is a SuMetal solo.
ruclips.net/video/g2372C5PJLM/видео.html
- Megitsune, official MV is my first recommendation but is usually blocked if you don't put filters, so if you want live and safe to react, check it out Budokan 2014.
ruclips.net/video/dU38CYkpBvI/видео.html
- Akatsuki Unfinished Version, SuMetal solo again but with only a piano behind special performance at Legend 1997.
ruclips.net/video/nwsinmxTxbo/видео.html
- Babymetal Death, live at Legend 1997, this is the big finale, you're gonna blow your mind with this one.
ruclips.net/video/jRc9dbgiBPI/видео.html
- Catch Me If You Can with Kami Band intro live at Budokan 2014.
ruclips.net/video/ng8U_j0gpLI/видео.html
- Ijime, Dame, Zettai live at Sonisphere Festival 2014, sometimes the official live MV isn't so friendly so you know what to do.
ruclips.net/video/Ro-_cbfdrYE/видео.html
- Rondo Of Nightmare, with Mischiefs Of Metal Gods Intro live at Budokan 2014, another SuMetal solo but way different than usual happy songs.
ruclips.net/video/8WBDiLMNZcE/видео.html
- Doki Doki Morning, official MV, their very first song and MV full of kawaiiness, usually is safe to react so try it, if you want a live performance, this is the first proshot version with the Kami Band live at Legend 1999 (YuiMetal and MoaMetal 14th birthday).
ruclips.net/video/BSjv9OYtWZ0/видео.html
- Uki Uki Midnight, this one is a follow up to Doki Doki Morning but way different sound, this is the PV, is super fun but the sound isn't so great but at least is live.
ruclips.net/video/Yj-UQIlqsIQ/видео.html
If you want better sound with the Kami Band, then live at Budokan 2014 it is.
ruclips.net/video/ESzY9dL613Q/видео.html
- Onedari Daisakusen, live at Legend 1997, this is a Black Babymetal song, is a subgroup with only YuiMetal and MoaMetal.
ruclips.net/video/1dT1ywYR5So/видео.html
- Iine! again official MV hits way better but if you want live, here live at Budokan 2014.
ruclips.net/video/5sCvYVNeD0w/видео.html
- Karate live at Download Festival 2016, "kitsune6001" got this with a short interview intro.
ruclips.net/video/FKOL6v3Md2c/видео.html
- Road Of Resistance live in Japan official live MV, be careful with the blocked by putting some filters just in case.
ruclips.net/video/zTEYUFgLveY/видео.htmlsi=BsVOSExS25Qndy1H
- Kimi To Anime Ga Mitai - Answer For Animation With You, live at Budokan 2014, not sure if it's still safe, so try some filters, if is audio blocked try to mute or just cut the parts.
ruclips.net/video/M8FKumvh-w8/видео.html
Here's a song you can find at Babymetal Reactor Resource (BMRR), a helpful place to get watermarked logo clips of the original live version to curve the annoying algo.
- GJ! live at Wembley Arena 2016, another Black Babymetal song.
ruclips.net/video/Hg0Rylcg8F0/видео.html
This is BMRR short vid to follow instructions and get the spreadsheet with the full list.
ruclips.net/video/q40VmTHSh4c/видео.html
And here's a BM guide (the long one and more updated).

@@jakemuller8626 thanks for the info and suggestions i definitely don’t want to jump to any conclusions yet until Iv heard more. Appreciate the comment hope you enjoyed the video 👀
They are quite perfect if you want to go to a concert with people who are not too deep in the metal scene. This is one of their softest songs. They are quite perfect to fuse their harder melodies with their singing, like Monochrome Headbanger or Road of Resistance.
It's a 50/50 colab. You can't just act like its an Electric Callboy song being intruded upon by Babymetal lol. But i understand, you don't know who Babymetal are.
Possibly you will see how great they are and may have a different opinion in hindsight if you hear this song in the future. Contex can change viewpoints.
Just don't do Gimmie Chocolate until you see the kawaii part is only one aspect of them. They have been going 14 years now, It would be best to do something newer, like Divine Attack or Monochrome so you can form your initial judgements around where they are now, rather than were they were a decade ago. Then you can watch earlier stuff with more context. Babymetal are organised chaos, and their music is very diverse. If you think you don't like them, that's OK, but don't give up on them too early at least. You could miss out on something.
It occurs to me that the chorus, before the bun buns, is something straight out of Electric Callboy's playbook, but when people hear the girls sing that part, they don't dig it. But then Nico comes in on the second one and everyone's like, 'Oh Yeah, that sounds like classic EC.' And I'm not saying that to be shitty, it's just something I've noticed. As others have mentioned, this isn't UNusual for BabyMetal, but it's not the typical BabyMetal sound. They tend to be much heavier, especially their more recent stuff. So I hope you check you more, and tentative welcome to the Fox Hole. 🤘🦊🤘
Way more Electric Callboy, please!
@@TheUpsidesKen on the way stay tuned 👀
I said the same thing about Babymetal when I first heard them; now they are my absolute favorite band. For context, I am not a fan of most "commercialized" pop music (including J-pop or K-pop). I usually avoid the "sugary-sweet" and go for "harder", more epic, or deeper-meaning music.
_And then Babymetal came along and just turned my world upside down:_
My 1st song (Gimme Chocolate): "WTF is this gimmicky pop-metal? I don't think this will ever be my thing."
My 2nd song (Doki Doki Morning): "I don't know man, still super poppy, but why are the riffs so heavy? Maybe a little cringe still?? And are they little kids in this video??"
My 3rd song (Rondo of Nightmare): "WTF... is that a 6-string bass solo? Holy sh*t... this song is heavy AF and dark, and that girl's vocals are actually amazing!"
My 4th song (Road of Resistance): "Uhhh... did that 17-year-old teeny bopper just start a massive wall of death? I need to pause the video so the drummer can take a break from non-stop blast beats."
So yeah, don't make the mistake of judging them too early like I did 😉. Babymetal has been around since 2010, and they are one of THE BEST live performance bands around. They fuse heavy metal with J-pop and many other influences/genres. Almost all of their songs are quite different. Without knowing your taste, it'll be tough to make the right suggestions, but here we go:
*Road of Resistance (Live, Pia Arena MM, 2023):* Epic power metal battle anthem.
*Rondo of Nightmare (Live, Budokan 2014):* Babymetal's band, the Kami Band does an incredible intro, followed by a dark and heavy song about losing the fight from an unseen nightmare.
*Catch Me If You Can (Live, Budokan 2014):* If you want to combine the "bun bun bun" part of Ratatata that you didn't like, but when they were mid-teens, with Slipknot for the heaviest and most brutal song about hide and seek. See the goofy side and the fun charms of early Babymetal, for funsies 🤗.
*BxMxC (Official Live):* A recent performance of a heavy metal rap battle.
*Syncopation (Official Live):* A pop song with a more mature feel at its core, with incredible guitar riffs and drum work. Very tasty.
Did I mention Babymetal is best experienced live 😆? I do hope you do more Babymetal reactions, they are absolutely amazing. But, if after a few songs, it's still not for you, then no need to force it. Music is subjective, thanks!
🤘🦊
The breakdown was also interesting since Momoko is Babymetals newest Members, she just joined in the April of 2023. And she can growl and in the breakdown Momoko and Kevin joined Forces for the growls. As Babymetal described it she found her fangs.

another kitsunes took my line 😅
Wow that's a pretty bold statement saying Babymetal's not for you after hearing one collab? This is such a great song because it is such a great collaboration. This was a pure 50/50 collaboration. Babymetal has been been arguably the best live band in the world for over 10 years.
They have a beloved catalog of over 70 songs of which no two are alike. I believe your reaction was honest. I just find it lacking in curiosity. I'd like to recommend a Babymetal performance where you can experience them on their own terms. Which only seems fair. I'm suggesting: *"Babymetal - Metali (Legend MM 2024 Live) Eng Subs"*
@@robote7679 I have another baby metal reaction on the channel if you wanted to check it out!
Thanks, I did see that one and I think a more recent performance might be something that would appeal to you more than some of the older stuff. They have matured and their music has evolved though they still do a bunch of their old hits. But again, I think some newer stuff from 23 or 24 you might find more interesting. That's all to say for myself. I love this performance and consider it one of the most impressive I've seen in a pretty long life. But in the end not every band is for every person. So thanks for giving him a second try.@@ZKReacts39
You don't really now what you are missing. 😁
BABYMETAL is one word, btw.
Subbed for more Babymetal, a bit of an acquired taste, but definitely worth a try, you might like it. I think Road of Resistance live in Japan MV is pretty easy to digest.
But if you want to go... let's say a bit more crazy as you liked Spaceman: Babymetal iine MV, it was actually inspired by Electric Callboy all the way back in 2011 when EC still had their other name, etc. and like Babymetal had only recently started.
honest reactions are the best 👍🏼 I enjoy this song because I ❤EC and it’s fun for a bit. Did also want to give BM a fair shot so checked out a video on their history and tried a bunch of often suggested video’s but had to come to the conclusion that it’s nit for me, the voices are not what I like and the whole kawai stuff is totally 😝 ieuww for me. Of the videos I did watch ‘Megitsune live’ was the best one. The band they play with is really good and I kinda like the dancing, just the ladies voices are like nails on a chalkboard to my ears sometimes.
Well the Video is a relative wild ride. They had no script, no budget and the song was finished at the second day of shooting. And they knew that whole bunch had to be in japan at the end of the week, if possible with the finished cut of the video. It is nearly inconseivale that it really worked. At the same time the Kami Band (Babymetals real Band was already starting to prepare for the big concert. The first festival organized by Babymetal.
Subscribed. An awesome collaboration and performance. Suggest a couple of more BABYMETAL to see if groove with them. 🦊 🖖❤

Please react to Electric Callboy - Welcome to Raveland. There is only an unofficial music video, showing making of the song, but it's a short, under two minutes hidden gem that more people need to hear.
Babymetal - Ljime Dame Zettei
To check out Babymetal, try either Headbanger live at Legend 1997, or Ijime Dame Zettai at Sonisphere 2014. They were great even when they were young, and metal as fuck from the start 😎
I feel you a little bit. This was the first song which I listened from Babymetal. I like it really. Not a single complain. Then I tried _Kingsslayer_ Bring me to the Horizont with them. Also a great song. Than I started to try out their own stuff, and I really tried it openminded, but it didn't clicked. I guess it is less the music than the whole kawaii thing, what turns me up. But even this idk. Recently I listen to Hanabie. And these girls I really like, despite there also have kawaii elements in their songs. Maybe not so right in your face.
Hope you check them out. The Fox God welcomes everyone! 🤘🦊🤘

Road of Resistance (live in Japan)
Metali!! Ft Tom Morello
Kingslayer (Technically a BMTH song)
PA PA YA!!
Devine Attack
Monochrome (personal Favorite)
there are plenty more amazing songs but i really think people hear them and they make a snap decision on who they are so i hope you can see how hard they go and how tallented they actually are, and who knows you might fall in love with the music as i did! and if not then at least you gave them a fair shot
if you do dive in i hope you enjot your time in the Fox Hole!

When you listen to this 100 times you do bum bum bum even when you sleep. It is so catchy .... it will win you over 😁
Now, of course, no one needs to love Babymetal. But, I promise you, they are great. They started VERY young, at 12 and 11 years old in 2010. Their first video was the very cute Doki Doki Morning. It actually is very good. Their first international success was Gimme Chocolate. One of their better videos is Headbanger from the Legend 1997 show (from 2013). You can see the fantastic musicians in the backup band Kami band in Yava live performance. And if you want to go really heavy you have Babymetal Death from Legend 1997. You also have Sis Anger by Black Babymetal, which is the two dancers that sings. Its also hard. Or if you like prog metal you have Tales of the Destinies. Something more modern when they are older is BxMxC.
Note that they sing in English in this song. That is actually the first one. They normally sing in Japanese.
One thing was that, in 2010, they looked VERY young. Su looked younger than her age and the two dancers Yui and Moa was partly chosen because they are very small, so they did NOT look like 11, rather 7. And the two dancers were inhumanly cute, Yui looked like a cute doll and Moa with an irresistible dimple. But mainly all three was chosen because they were VERY good. Su could really sing and had a strong stage presence and the two dancers were extremely into dancing. All three were so pro. They were a part of a girl idol factory called Sakura Gaukin and there are several RUclips videos from before Babymetal, and it is obvious that those three girls took it more serious than most in the group. Su was a bit awkward when young and maybe not the best dancer. But as soon as she should sing she owned the stage. Those three girls was a heavenly mix.
If you like growling, then you shall maybe look at Momobanger after Heabanger. Its the same song, but Momoka gets the microphone and do the lead singing and, of course, then with growling. There is also a Moabanger, where Moa totally fails to look fierce, smiling instead, because Moa can only smile. Moa is all about love.
I like Electric Callboy but I love❤ BABYMETAL 🦊. This is not their normal stuff, in fact the “boom boom boom” was EC addition as I understand. Check Momocrome, Megitsune, Ijime, Dame, Zettai, Babymetal (feat. Tom Morello), Headbanger (live not the video), Bring me the Horizon (Kingslayer and Babymetal), Road to Resistance, many many more. 🤘🦊🤘
BABYMETAL will be sought out by many artists to collaborate with in the future, so I am sure we will meet again somewhere down the road! I am sure we will see a different BABYMETAL then. I am looking forward to it!😁
An epic collab to be sure, and an incredible song; it sounds like it could be in a Disney animated musical. And the "ooha- ooha" part brings to mind the anniversary party in Fix-it Felix's apartment in the movie "Wreck-it Ralph" ("Fix-it Felix, ooha-ooha"). 😁
BABYMETAL has an extensive history (and lore) which I won’t get into but a quick synopsis: they’ve been around since 2010, and started when their lead singer - known as Su-metal (Suzuka Nakamoto) - was about twelve, and the two "cheerleaders" (officially "scream and dance" (backing vocals)) - Moametal (Moa Kikuchi) and Yuimetal (Yui Mizuno) - were both around eleven. Unfortunately, Yui left the group in 2018 because of health concerns, and early in 2023 Momoko Okazaki (Momometal) was named a member of the group. They do not play instruments but are backed by the Kami Band - session musicians who are among the best that Japan (and the U.S.) has to offer.
BABYMETAL started a brand new genre of music ("kawaii metal" - cute metal), and they cannot be pigeon-holed - they are almost always thinking and moving outside box; they made listening to metal FUN! They have, to date, four studio albums with over fifty songs, and have been on a number of world tours. It is common knowledge among their devoted fans (known as "The One") that BABYMETAL is best served live, but they do have several music videos that are real works of art.
I suggest you go back to the beginning, and react to their first two music videos, "Doki Doki Morning" and "Iine!" (pronounced "E-nay"), both released in 2012. You’ll notice those are the first two on this list of recommended songs (with links to suggested versions). The first sixteen are from what I've come to call "The Golden Age of BABYMETAL" (better known as "The Yui Era"). This list also includes all four songs of the BABYMETAL sub-group Black BABYMETAL (just Yui and Moa while Su is taking a break):

You can use my RUclips playlist “BABYMETAL Top Twenty” ( ruclips.net/p/PLdhz2aj0pt4zPl0BZLevPUR9uHKQA27uj ) as a quick link to all of these videos; it is a mix of MV’s and live performances, is more or less in historical sequence, and could be considered a road map down the BABYMETAL foxhole. If nothing else, it can be used as a reference to find high quality versions of BABYMETAL songs without mucking about - if they are on the list. Anyway . . . .
Another recommendation (read "challenge"): react to an entire BABYMETAL concert. I suggest:
"Legend 1997 Apocalypse" ruclips.net/p/PLdBAj9hZ91wCao72oSqTMLrGpIDOqzR2Q
and/or
"Budokan Black Night" (2014) ruclips.net/p/PLdBAj9hZ91wBwsBfjsKH9zWxA5YOOUkSI
Both concerts are, in a word, incredible.
Enjoy your trip down the foxhole! (You're in for a wild ride!!!)
Keep rockin' BABYMETAL!!! (Sorry about the wall!)
KITSUNE UP!!! 🤘🦊🤘
Patiently waiting for your introduction to babymetal.
Take a look at at least 3 songs before putting them aside. 😉
King slayer is a banger with baby metal
im offended lol
I didn't like BABYMETAL when I saw their first videos 10 years ago or so. So who am I to judge you? But I bought their tickets 7 or 8 times since that and had the best times of my life.
Grington and Jake have provided plenty of lore, Jake’s list of songs it’s a good one to begin with from the “Yui era” of Babymetal, when they were teenagers. He provided a mix of several styles that BM is known for and… Su-metal solos… pure gold each of them 😮
I hope you fall in the Foxhole with the rest of us, we are The One. 🦊

You were more trying to and failing to find a reason to not like Babymetal even though they fit perfectly into the song, this isn't a matter of opinion, seeing how the song is a 50/50 split, there is no place where they do not fit, so it sounds like your opinion is purely based on a personal prejudice not sound logic. If you could provide a logical and rational reasoning behind it you would make sense, seeing how you can't and never could your dislike is based on a want to hate it for hating sake and nothing more. It's a honest reaction, but shows you have some growing to do as a person if you can articulate a basic concept without sounding like you just want to hate something for no reason but to hate it.
