He seems to do that it most videos, genuinely he seems mostly disinterested in most of the lego themes I’ve seen him cover. I mean I guess he’s allowed to have an opinion, it’s just weird that he doesn’t seem to enjoy the thing he has a RUclips channel for…
Sorry to dig up your comment after 1 year... but I think he does this partially because of recency bias. Last few years, we Castle fans, have been spoiled with fantastic sets: Lion Knights Castle, Medieval Town Square, the Creator Castle set... you could put the Viking Boat/Village here as well as Rivendell, Barad-dur. The Majisto's workshop set was the only stinker. As that being said, older Castle sets look funny in comparison. I started in the Fantasy Era, but my most loved theme was Kingdoms, with the Green Knights... some of these sets still hold up very well. I think it would be more fair to judge sets from 2 perspectives... a modern one and then from a perspective back then. I would definitely not put 5615 The Knight in the last place... its easily top 10 set (in this wave) based on a simple fact that you can build a massive army with this guy. I don't remember any other time we were this close to perfection in terms of a cheap, affordable, wildly distributed set that you could build an army with. I wish I would've gotten the Troll Warship and Dwarven Mine...
I am forever wishing for Lego to release a new Castle/Kingdoms theme, one that includes all the fantasticism & Realism of the different themes & subthemes over the year. Have them come together into one big theme; The different Kingdoms of Knights, dwarves, vikings, Forestmen, skeletons, trolls, dragons, wizards, etc. The Lion's Knights' Castle proves that there is a real passion at lego for the Castle themes, and all they need is a place to focus it. The level of detail, historical accuracy without compromising the build, just everything is perfect on the build.
I had the Troll Assault Wagon and the Skeletons Prison carriage as a kid, still have most of the Minifigures and pieces, always wanted the Skeleton Tower.
2 years ago I started buying these sets again after having had them all and selling them. I have the complete set now. Am glad I done so. I also done allot of army building with all the factions. Brilliant series.
Numbers 19 and 20 were actually released together as one set. The set was part of a Brickmaster book that included a bunch of alternate builds and I remember it being sold either at Costco, scholastic book fair, or both. The set also came with a few extra builds too. A little prison for the skeleton and a small castle tower + weapon stand for the knight. Nice vid!
Aye, I remember my school used to do a "Book order" where we were given Scholastic catalogues and could place an order, I always bought the lego books and that was one of them.
I think this theme did dragons better than anything we've gotten since. Perhaps only ousted by Smaug in the hobbit lego series. Their designs are so sleek and simple, but look natural and fitting. Much like the current dinosaur figures in jurrasic park lego sets. I whish we'd return to figures like these instead of all the brick-built dragons in ninjago etc... although I understand why others may like those more.
Lego castle fantasy era is a great theme but there is a thing a really do not like about this castle theme and that are why didnt the good guys have any ships and boats.
Growing up all i wanted was a giant troll. Even now i debate whether i should buy one. Also the battle packs, those were insane they really wanted you to build up your army
Ngl, even tho' I sadly missed out on this theme? I always thought the Fantasy Era was a cool LEGO Castle theme because of the Trolls and Dwarfs being my favorite factions from the theme since I even also find it ironic that the Lions and Dragons or maybe the Skeletons has always been everyone else's favorite factions but I'm usually the only one that has the Trolls and Dwarfs being my favorite factions XD lol.
I had the mines door attack one and the skeleton sorcerer whatever tower thing, but my dog and little brother destroyed the build, and the dog chewed up the dragon
I only had like 2-3 sets but so many of them feel familiar and I kinda associate it with a videogame. Can anybody tell me which game that could've been???
I wish we got another castle theme with a similar level of fantasticalism
Agreed. As a DM who uses legos as miniatures, this is probably the most D&D friendly theme we’ve gotten.
Whats really cool about this series is that its pretty easy to make a decent size army for both sides
Yeah that is cool!
@@BatFlightBuildstbh it's why I would put knight above the wizard, you would need a lot of them
i miss the castle theme so much. they need to bring back more castle sets because i’m only interested in medieval stuff
I tip my hat to you, one man of culture to another.
Medieval market is one of the best lego sets of all time
Bro just saying the build ain’t that good for 80%:/
Yeah is kinda sad but to each their own
The minifigures and animal/creature molds are the best for alot of the sets

Forever sad that I never got any of these sets
I had a lot of these sets but they were thrown out as time went on, now I realize the mistake I made lol.
I loved this line of legos so much I hope they bring it back. The knights kingdom sets that came before these were awesome to
My fav as a kid

Makes me miss lego battles a lot.

been waiting for this theme! thank you
No problem!

Nurrrrrd
Some Renaissance Faire and Lord of the Rings vibes!
This is literally my childhood
I loved fantasy even as a kid so it was one of my favorite themes. If this kind of fantasy theme would come back, I would surely get back to lego
I would die and go to heaven if they did another full run of lego castle

Great video! Love the series
Thanks!

I found your channel a week ago, and I was hoping you would make this!
I HAD ALL OF THEM 😭😭😭 memories
Clutch powers sets basically
What about the Lego Castle building instruction book?
I only include regular LEGO sets.
Lego castle fantasy era is a great theme but there is a thing a really do not like about this castle theme and that are why didnt the good guys have any ships and boats.
Even if that were true? I still would've taken the Trolls and Dwarfs factions over any of the Knights anyday XD lol.
Brilliant video 😄
as someone who loves fantasy settings, i wish lego would revisit this...
Why not rate the giant chess set? I would have liked to hear your opinion about it
Because I don't play chess so I don't really have many opinions on it and it would have ranked low.
I had the medieval market set, it was one of my favorites. Loved that it gave you two cows lol.
Watching Clutch Power as a kid made me really want to get these sets.
I miss this theme SO MUCH
This line looks dope, I hope they do more after the new DND set
Does this give anyone else a throwback to lego Battles?
I'm sad that they don't produce sets like these anymore
The chariot and catapult set were included in a book.
Just recently discovered these sets and have been trying to add a few to my collection. They are ridiculously expensive on the aftermarket. 🙁
I miss this lego castles!

Bro what about the chess sets or the tic tac toe ?
I mentioned the chess set in the beginning and I didn't even know the Tic Tac Toe set existed.

iirc i think i got that little skeleton horse chariot in a book? Might've been different tho
This was the perfect theme for me, and I missed it.
I had the mines door attack one and the skeleton sorcerer whatever tower thing, but my dog and little brother destroyed the build, and the dog chewed up the dragon
Im 90% sure I owned the skeleton chariot set as a kid
I only had like 2-3 sets but so many of them feel familiar and I kinda associate it with a videogame. Can anybody tell me which game that could've been???
Lego Battles on Nintendo DS?
Thanks!
Wasnt released? It in one set with skeleton battle carret.
What do you mean?
Man put a one man battle pack at the very bottom 😢, think about the army building capability with that set
I don't really care about army building.
🎉🎉
I have number 6
lego castle
Pleeeease be more shallow with the reviews….
What do you mean?
