I was looking forward to this. Blood Mages are an archetype that I always enjoy but don't see that often in games, so I was excited to see them appear in some way in CoA. Unfortunately when playing one previously it really didn't deliver on as a Son of Arugal. I felt, and still feel, that it would be better if Blood Mage was a separate class entirely instead of a spec off the werewolf class. Taking two very different concepts and putting them together often doesn't work well. That said, the changes I see in this video give me some hope. Having a separate healer and blood caster spec has potential to work better than both combined did. I would like it if we could avoid using worgen form at all in those specs and leave them to the other specs, more focused on the worgen form. I look forward to hopping back in and giving this class another try.
I am sure you guys already have your hands full with 21 classes but if you are ever looking for inspiration for a new class a stealthy Void/Shadow class would be really cool. I know the cultist has a bit of old god tenticles and stuff labeled as. void but this would be more shadows, shadow priest void elf from the void and less the madness of the old gods that the cultist uses. The focus could be applying shadow/void stacks to debuff and cripple the target which causes your attacks to deal more damage. You could have a "Healer" / Support spec whos whole gimmick is that they dont do much direct healing but instead create shields of void energy on allies based upon the damage you deal to enemies. You could give them some healing effects but have their primary "healing" focus be on damage prevention through shields and buffs while slowly actually healing them over time. You could have a support caster spec who's whole gimmick is to weaken the target. This can be through debuffing enemies causing them to deal less damage to allies or creating vulnerabilities in them allowing allies to cause greater harm. Could range from moee basic things like roots/snares, damage reduction things like that to something like a building debuff that slowly stacks so the longer they are fighting one target the weaker and weaker they get and it can be consumed for a stronger effect. You could have an agility based assassin type spec. Obviously very stealth oriented and have it focused on speed and mobility with some of the debuffing effects the class as a whole would have. You could have them focused on manuevering in and out of combat by "slipping" in and out of the void and consume the debuffs applied along with a combo point system to deal massive chunks of damage after a build up focusing on setup and bust style. The final could be another melee assassin varient but instead of controlling the void and bending it to their will they have let it consume them. This would still have a core of debuffing like the other specs but rely on a constant stream of dots for its damage. With thr firdt assassin spec being more about big crits this would focus more on haste to get your dots ticking faster. You could alow them to have a minor cleave to their attacks and debffus focusing on attacking grouped up enemies. You could also play on the void taking over and actually causes the player to take amplified damage while dealing extra damage. One just debuff type of example that would work for all specs would be a movement based damage/stun you could place on an opponent. If they move x yards in 5 secconds they take damage when they move and if its
I find it not the best Design choice with the Ferocity speck that has to switch between mortal and worgen form (feels like a missed match by the name ferocity) if he would perma worgen it would be better in my opinion but as usual thanks for the amazing video Mcdoubles! (sry for bad english)
Man, I just tried CoA after being away for almost 2yrs. They’ve refined a lot and it’s super fun, but I’m shocked at the toxicity. There’s a lot more players than before, and the majority are super toxic. Like, I have to leave the ascension general chat every time I log in just to avoid it. Super sad. Part of me would rather the server be desolate like it was before than full of toxic gamers who have nothing better to do than hate on people.
I've GENUINELY enjoyed this class and its fantasy--one of the most fun to play thus far. BUT ... I just have one burning question--is the current tank worgen form a placeholder? Because alongside all the other amazing shapeshift forms in CoA it looks extremely dated with its Wrath era worgen model. I feel like your amazing team could mimic the same sort of savage powerful vibe by using the up-to-date player worgen model with some different customization options and feral-looking armor pieces added to it (maybe even size it up slightly from the Ferocity version to make it look larger and more imposing?).
So where did you or how can you get that class cause honestly I always wanted to see if there were worgen forms but also wondered of a worgen brawler or berserker build, also can they dual wield or no?
i HATE what they did to my ferocity ;-; they changed to acursed ;-; its a vampire in the melee spec man wtf ;-; i want to be a worgen and deal a lot of damge man,not to tank ;-;
Worgens make more sense as a human class or a Race/Class hybrid like the Dracthyr, blizzard should have made DPS/Tank/Healers . A melee dps with a pet for extra DPS . Give Darkspear Trolls Tigons Form to keep things balanced
It would be nice if worgen forms have male and female models as option, over all having 2 class archetypes seems bit weird and need some reworking to make it too complex and hardcore or be separate classes, sad there is no tauren blood mage tho lol
I feel like son of arugal should be this class that's like evoker. You're playing the worgen instead of just being hybrid. I think you could make an interesting kit, like feral druid. Maybe make it a combo of a rogue, feral druid, and warrior. I just think having it be a caster spec makes it lose the potential it could have been. I think people just want to play as a full on ruthless werewolf as their class.
Having played SoA quite a bit in the past, returning to Ferocity was quite jarring - I can't transform before maxing out rage now (200 too!)? I also understand there is no way to maximize my time in worgen form anymore. Not sure how this will work in pvp tbh - seems very, very easy to shut down, wait for the 200 rage burst, CC them during it and bye. Gameplay wise I do enjoy it a lot, it's as spammy as ever and the abilities feel impactful, especially in human form. Most likely my main still! PS: I miss the leap skillshot where it increased damage based on how far you made it in the leap while still landing on your enemy, that was pretty fun.
I love playing my Blood SoA but having it as part of the SoA class feels like a waste of potential. Fleshweaver and Blood could easily fall under a Blood Mage class but I do understand it takes a lot of work to make these classes and I love it all in general
Jazter - Elune Im Back my Mcdoubled Friend. You know how I like my tank forms, especially back when you did the Metamorphosis build back in the daaaaaay. Let me in, break this chain and let me be a basic demon player. Free me from this torment.
I just got coa. Leveled a necromancer, witch doctor, starcaller, primalist, and tinker to level 10 so far. Starcaller is currently my favorite. So cool to be able to play wow with all these custom classes. Idk what to try next though. Any suggestions?
Roejogan -Elune One of the only things I am worried about with CoA is the amount of cool classes/specs that were created is making it difficult to choose one to main, but that is definitely a good problem to have. Also are the current CoA servers getting wiped and reset on the 13th? (Will people have to level 1-60 again, if they had a class already leveled?)
So from what i saw in this Conquest of Azeroth. Every class is tank/heal/ranged/melee. Uses mana And another resourse +/ has a new system of combo points. The uniqueness falls off
Im both worried and intrigued about the classes that use HP as a resource. What happens in a raid if its just tanks yourself (blood resource class) no healers, Boss is at like 3% HP left, do you just have to stop DPSing at a certain point? Baralin - Elune
When it comes to Werewolves and Vampires, they are pretty much hand in hand when it comes to their lore. Vampires have been known as far as my knowledge goes to take on forms of wolves, so a worgen would fit in my opinion. Its like yall brought V rising to the game, and it looks great. I do have a question though will the Hero class have a future in CoA? Or are the Ascension team moving towards more around custom unique classes they design?
McDoubles: "Even a playstyle that weaves between melee and ranged...." Me: "You have my undevided attention!" Get it? Because a NPC in Gilneas says that line when you click on them? I know, I'm not funny.
Kowosu - Elune There should be a Skill that gives every Furry/Son of Arugal in Worgenform a 1% Damage Buff for every other Worgen in your Group/Raid like a real Pack of Wolfs

The story of online RPGs with a open chat.
This is why I left acension nothing but jerks and mythic key police 😅

What..? U mean Worgens are male gender locked 🔒 ?

Alliance human class Worgan form
Horde Troll Tigon Form would had be such a cool idea , instead of Worgans being a furry race

Y'all need to stop doing anything and listen to the players. We wanted a permanent wolf and vampire form
