    In the UK the Profitec is over £2000 and you will need to add £200 for flow control and a bottomless porta filter is additional cost if you want one, the Bianca is £1750 all in. I suspect I can make bad coffee with either as it is my special talent 😂

    I have been using Bianca v2 for a while. It’s a great machine fit and finish is great on mine and it’s build like a tank. I especially like the mesh drip tray cover and the matching cup elevator as well as the round corners. The main advantage of Bianca is the fact that water tank can be placed on the side so it fits on the narrow countertops. No other machine would fit in the space I have but this one does. Filling the water tank would have been impossible if the tank was on the back but it’s much easier on the side. The drip tray is huge and only needs to be emptied once every two weeks which is also a plus. It also comes with a great bottomless portafilter. Any machine with PID and dual boiler will pull an excellent shot at the price point so it comes down to size looks and features.

      @jkline999 Год назад

      Ditto. Just got the bianca-- very happy that one can move the water tank. My biggest peeve with the machine are the steam/hotwater knobs-- way too much play before they turn on.

    I never used the Profitect and I do own a Bianca V3, but I'd assume another minor advantage that Pro 700 has is a functional middle lever position. The Bianca lever clicks in that position, but it doesn't actually function like other E61 machines, where the pump stops and pressure is held in the grouphead (useful when backflushing and when doing very long pre-infusion).
    With that said, I wouldn't choose the Profitec for this one minor advantage and see more benefit in the Bianca V3 pre-infusion and low flow features. Too bad they're a bit immature and underdeveloped. My hunch is that the V4 will fully utilize programmable pressure profiles via an app, a la Decent machines.

    REALLY really helpful review for someone who is in the market for a prosumer machine. The little bits like the Bianca giving you a notice when you are low on water, vs. the Pro 700 that only has it on some machines is really nice to know. That's helpful for someone like me that will probably end up having a cabinet above the machine, so refilling the water tank could really be a pain on something other than the Bianca. I'm actually comparing the Bianca v3 vs. the ECM Synchronika currently, and I imagine the Pro 700 is effectively the same as the ECM, so the Bianca wins on that aspect. Also hearing about the steam lever on the Rocket that scratches the front panel - very nice thing to note!

  • @justins6412

    Please don't say "no money exchange hands" when you've been given a $3,000 machine. While technically true, it is VERY misleading and the idea of impartiality is no "money or thing of value" was exchanged. You can't get away with paying off an official by buying them a house and then claiming no money changed hands.
    I am NOT implying you're not putting out a fair review. But stating this sentence like this is flat out misleading. You can state it more truthfully and still put out a solid review. Maybe something like "I was given this machine by the manufacturer, but there was no implicit requirement for a positive review".
    Just a tip. But for me if it seems like a reviewer is trying to cover it up it just makes me trust the review less. But be upfront :)
