    Just a comment on the SoftBody. So, if you set Pull and Push to 0.999, there will be a breach in the texture, but if you set it to just 0.990, everything works fine.

    I have a problem please solve it,when i ready animation with audio and expresion in the final render the speed of animation increases and also audio with animation missmatches,please solve it,you are great teacher when i first time watched your video i deeply felt that you can very easily teach us blender,please solve my problem,......love from india 🙏🙏🙏

    • @5MinutesBlender
      @5MinutesBlender  Год назад +1

      Hi, the speed of the final animation is set by the frame rate which is usually 24 or 30 or 60 etc. Although you can directly render a video output from Blender, it is not recommended for several reasons. Best is to render the output as an image sequence and then generate the video output from that image sequence through another editor (you can use Blender's own editor called VSE which is perfect for this). When you generate the video either directly or through image sequence, you need to mention a frame rate (by default it is 24). You can change this as you wish. 24 and 30 are the most common values. However, you should not compare it with the viewport display, because viewport is always very slow. As far as the audio mismatch is concerned, the reason is same - frame rate mismatch. I don't know how exactly you are adding the sound (maybe direct output, Blender VSE or a 3rt party software) so cannot share any specific suggestion. But do check the frame rate, that is where the key is.

    Great Tutorial , Is there a way to tear the cloth with rigid body simulation?

    • @5MinutesBlender
      @5MinutesBlender  Год назад

      Thank you!! The cloth will automatically tear off under sufficient pressure. It is in-built with cloth physics itself. But the tearing is not permanent, if you remove the source of the pressure, the cloth pieces will join back together which is unreal. There is no easy way to tear off the cloth permanently as far as I know.

    Thanks for the great educational tutorial! It was helpful. But the fabric should not move before the object hits it and therefore the effect does not look realistic and natural. In any case, animation cannot be used anywhere in this form.

    • @5MinutesBlender
      @5MinutesBlender  Год назад +3

      I partially agree to you. Cloth physics is nowhere close to perfect in Blender. So as a student of physics, I too feel that things are shaky or incorrect. However, in an actual animation where 30 frames hit us every second, I think the imperfections easily get washed out and the common audience may not notice a lot of these things. What we see on the screen is an amalgam of video, story, sound etc. A good artist can easily cover up many things with his skill. Does it mean that we can use Blender's cloth physics in all places? Definitely not. It can be used only in some places, that's the best case scenario probably.

    One question. Noticed that there was no "Apply Scale" for the plane/cloth? It wasent necessary in this situation or? When should I be doing this?

    • @5MinutesBlender
      @5MinutesBlender  4 месяца назад +1

      I think it is not necessary, did not test it. But if in doubt, you can apply your scale at the start of the process to be on the safer side.

    5:17 the ball very obviously jiggles when it hits. Soft body does a poor job approximating rigid objects.

    • @5MinutesBlender
      @5MinutesBlender  Год назад

      Yes, it's not fully perfect. This is the closest we could get and it may be useful in a large-scale animation. Hope the Blender team makes more improvement on inter-physics interactions.

    if only the game engine could record shape keys as it can do rigid on soft physics but only records the original geometries translations.

    how to made human character fall on cloth please tell

    • @5MinutesBlender
      @5MinutesBlender  9 месяцев назад +1

      When you are using a human model, you'll of course have it rigged with bones and an armature. You need to treat this armature as a soft body (in relation to the interaction with the cloth like falling on cloth) which will in turn guide the character. Or create a separate set of meshes for each part of your character and add soft body physics to them and control your armature by those soft bodies.

      Did you keep the collision modifier after the cloth modifier? This is important and it is explained at 3:00 in this video.

  • @faxin-studio
    @faxin-studio 9 месяцев назад +1

    why use soft body?

    • @5MinutesBlender
      @5MinutesBlender  9 месяцев назад

      We want to create an interaction between a rigid-body and a cloth object - but this is natively not well supported by Blender's physics engine. So we had to opt for alternate and near-best method to reproduce a similar effect, using rigid body and soft body. This interaction is better supported by Blender.

    Very nice with a plane, a cube or even a sphere. With real things? Pure banana oil.

    • @5MinutesBlender
      @5MinutesBlender  Год назад +1

      While it is known that the capability of cloth physics is still very limited in Blender, this is what we can do max at this moment. To apply it for real things, I would suggest you to use a cube or a sphere of approximate size for the cloth deformation. Do not show this object, it should be hidden. That means, your cloth should be deformed by a fake object which is approximately of the same size and shape of the actual object. It may not be possible everywhere, but it may work in some places. The only other option is probably to wait for few years for a better physics implementation in Blender 🙂

      @@5MinutesBlender My problem is that I do photographs starting with a rendering (means no real women involved) and aim at a 100% realistic effect on a still image.
      If I take too many of these shortcuts then I start too far from my goal. What I am trying to get now is a mesh deform in Geometry Nodes. Textures are not a problem.
      I’d also need to be able to interactively select from within Geometry Nodes. I can do this when the 3D model has Index or ID in accordance with UVs but not with a model that had loop cuts or have been retopologized. Any ideas? If push come to shove I could Python the thing but who would want that?
      😆

      @@johnsmith56920 You're doing great stuff buddy 👍 It would take some serious time for me to understand what you are trying to achieve in geo nodes. It may be possible but only with some heavy investment of time. Practically anything is possible if you take Python's route but as you rightly said, who would want that 😂😂 Earlier we made several tutorials on Python scripts for some difficult tasks that are not possible today with the existing gui but I did not see many takers 😂😂
